"The operating system is currently not configured to run this application"

I just bought a new pc running Windows 7.  Due to problems on my old pc operation
I no longer use it.  I copied the Microsoft Office 2003 from the old pc on a flash drive and
then copy the program on my new pc running windows 7.  When I try to open the program I get the following error message: "the operating system is currently not configured to run this application.  I'd like your help.

You cannot copy the program files and install it that way. You need to install MS Office 2003 on your new computer by using the installation CD. If you have more, then buy the version of Office 2010 (the latest version of Office) you want and install. If you do not want to buy Office, then you can use Office Web Apps free for very basic work or download/install the freeOpenOffice suite , which can read/write MS Office file formats. Hello

You must allow access to professional Module P6.

According to Primavera P6 version you are using, the configuration is different:

If you use P6 EPPM: Admin (or management) > user access > access to the Module > check P6 Professional

Is using P6 PPM: Admin > users > access to the Module > check P6 Professional

    Hello

I bought a second hand computer and there is no backup of the operating system CD. He had problems with the operating system start so I wiped it, but now I have to re - install.

Would it not possible to obtain another copy of the operating system for that computer?

    Hello

These are forums for Vista, so vista information is provided

Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

    ____________________________________________________________

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

    __________________________________________________________

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • In the recovery system and he wants that I select configuration information. File, because it cannot find the operating system, but do not know what to choose

    Hello

I am in the recovery of the system, which I have to by selecting f8 and "repair your computer", and after taking me to a window that says "select an oprerating system to repair...." If you don't see your operating system listed, click load drivers to load the drivers for your hard disks'.  Then when I click load drivers he wants me to select a file in System32 menu configuration information, but I don't know what to choose.

    Thank you

    Hi centi,.

    1. Why did you start the windows recovery environment by pressing the F8 key?
    2. do you get an error at startup of the system?

If you are unable to start Windows in normal mode, try the following steps:
    a. boot to the Windows recovery environment by pressing the F8 key.
    b. on the window that says "select an operating system to repair" click Cancel to see Windows Recovery Options window, and then select command prompt.
    (c) in the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER: Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd
Output Type d and hit enter to close the command prompt.
    f. restart the computer in normal mode and check if the computer starts Windows successfully.

  • My mother in disk hard laws burned and I replaced it with a new one when I went to reload the operating system, it would not accept the access key. How can I get a new one? with out having to buy new software?

How can I get a new access key for windows xp pro?

    Hello

There are several potential issues at stake here.

First of all, make sure that you use the Windows product key is for the full XP Pro version not the upgrade version.

Secondly, many manufacturers of computers for the last few years have provided computers with Windows XP installed, but a product key of Vista on the side.  If this is your situation, you need to call the manufacturer of your computer for the installation media or call microsoft to "downgrade rights."

Thirdly, if you use a product key that was provided for Windows XP Service Pack 3, and you use the older installation media, it will not accept this product key.  You need to get your hands on support for XP Service Pack 3.

    Hope that helps.

  • Cannot start the operating system

Hi everyone, I've seen many similar scenarios. Not sure if mine is unique. I do not get a syntax error as others, and this was not due to the update of windows. Our suddenly stopped working.  I tried knocking PF12 w/out of the options for safe mode and couldn't get to a MSDOS command prompt I just get blank screen.  I have the CD to our computer that comes with it when we bought there are records of the operating system, but do not say recovery or restart the disk label so I didn't know if she would it reboot or rewrite it. All ideas and comments are greatly appreciated.

Tell us the brand and model of the PC and what version of XP (Home, Pro, or MCE) runs as well as the Service Pack level.

Do you have critical data on the backup computer?

If this is not the case, press the "F8" key after the computer starts:

  • Deleted the operating system preloaded PC that has no restore disk.

Original title: my stupid mistake: deleted operating system pre-loaded PC that has no restore disk. How can I the system works again with the original software?  Please notify.

I am the original owner of an e-machine model (office) preloaded 32 bit ET1161-07, labeled with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1.  4050th AMD Athlon tm X 2 processor.  NVIDIA GEForce 6150SE integrated.   I know almost nothing about the operating system, and while he was trying to destroy the virus, I deleted all the files from hard drive, even those inside what I understand now was a protected partition.  Now I hear the disks with this computer not restore disks, I made a huge mistake delete these files. e-Machines Web site indicates that they no longer provide a restoration for this model drive, but they have the driver files on their website so I copied all the files on a flash drive.  I have a copy of the diskette MS Office Home and Student 2007 that I bought at Best Buy, shortly after I bought this computer (also at Best Buy).  I also have an e-machines CD accompanying desktop, but I realize now it is not bootable and has only a power supply and Acrobat Reader.  I thought that the MS Office Home and Student 2007 would be bootable and include the operating system, but seems not to be the case.  What should I do now?  Help, please.  Thank you!!

    Hello

You can use a Microsoft Vista DVD for resettlement purposes (borrow one from a friend), which contains the files for the different editions of Vista must be installed. The product key on your computer case will determine which Edition is installed.

Builders recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as well as 32-bit and 64-bit editions different DVD lights.

  • When a renewed system can you buy the disc to reinstall the operating system at the same time?

I was wondering, I'm new here and this is my first post, but I'm looking to buy a refurbbed T400 or the T61. Not sure yet but thought I'd post this here. Thanks in advance!

You can make your own recovery disk set after having received your Thinkpad.

If you order a Thinkpad with an XP downgrade, you will receive a set of recovery disc for the operating system that is not installed and make you your own for one installed.

  • I was wondering in the era of 3d everything that the operating system has not changed to 3d?

I was wondering in the era of 3d everything that the operating system has not changed to 3d. like where the BONE is part of work like as if you where he is plunged into a game but the game was the operating system. As windows responding simcity.  so when you interact with something he grows or changes the subject. I'm tired of seeing a 2d world when I know that a 3d world is here. I want to say is that imagine an OS that was alive. like all those science fiction movies. I'm new to programming, but it's just one of my many ideas that I think could change the computer OS never imagine sitting on your couch with 3d glasses and feel like you where in a virtual world.

    One simple reason: convenience.

The current problem with our 3D technology is that it would be broken by you are going to use the touch interface. Because, after all, it's just an illusion. Now let's talk about resources: do you really want your OS using towards the top of your ram, CPU and GPU to the point where you could not yet to start a game?

Now think about 5 years computers upgraded... they would be even able to run this OS?

What happens if there is more than one user per computer? What about people who get migraines of 3D? (shutter put on my glasses and my ability to perform simple tasks similarly is gone in 5 min with migraine resulting)

Maybe this will be handy one day, we just aren't there yet. Do not give up the hope, however: at the moment where you get one such product coded, the tech world will already be a different place.
