  I did an exploration of the possibilities, and I can't find a situation where access to the part of Master Pages from the Pages panel is completely lost. The separator between sections of pages, Master Pages and document is drag-able, but even by slide it upwards or downwards is not completely hide the masters... at least in my control panel.

  So, the strangeness you encounter is exactly the kind of strangeness that lightens in general with a reset of the preferences. This at least is the first thing you should try if you have not already.

  The usual order of things is to try to export to .idml, if it does not move pages to a new doc (which is NOT the same as reconstruction), and finally the more draconian measures such as rebuilding.

  To move the pages, make a new file with the same page size, then rename the master page into something that you are not in the original. Open the paragraph Styles Panel and in the flyout menu choose import styles and import all styles of text of the original file (you can get away with just doing [standard paragraph] as the others come with the text, anyway, if they are used).

  In the original doc, open the Pages panel and select all pages, and then in the drop down choose move Pages... and as a destination, choose the new file and before Page 1. After the move, delete the last page of the new file (the old blank page 1). Save under a new name.

• How will I know which pages are selected in the Pages panel?

  I have a JavaScript that exports each page of the separate document as PDF file. I would do the same thing, but with a script that exports only the selected pages in the Pages table. Is there a way to tell which pages are selected in the Pages panel? Thanks in advance.

  The answer, @Harbs, was not. You could do your own dialog box to allow users to select pages, but it doesn't seem to be possible to integrate with the existing this way Committee.

• Incorrect page in the Pages panel

  When I moved a few pages of an Indesign CS6 file in my main Indesign distributed newsletter, the Pages panel does not show the right 2 pages for some pages. Here is a screenshot; on the left is the bad pages (ongoing). On the right is how I'd rather watch. The PDF print well, so I'll probably be KNOCK on trying to figure out what I did to cause this happens and what I can do about it. I hope I've provided enough information; I'm not a frequent user of InDesign.

• Prefixes of page in the pages Panel number?

  Is it possible to add a prefix to the page that appears in the pages Panel (and not only on the page itself)? For example, in quark I would add 'C' before the first page so that the page layout panel the first page than C1 for the coverage of 1. I can't find something that seems to do that, but probably miss me something. CS3 so that's important. Thanks for any help.

  If you use different Master Pages.

  You can then right-click on the page master in the pages Panel and change the prefix that you want.

  It appears at the top of the page in the pages Panel, not in the page number.

  I usually have the prefix my table of master pages of content with table of contents, which appears at the top of the page and is an excellent reference Visual of what I'm clicking on the page.

  OK... when I go in the pages Panel, there is a drop down menu that says info Pages size... and yet everything is gray... No matter what or how to choose the pages, it is gray... How do you get this to activate?

  Right-click on one of your buttons and select Create-> Node-> Visible property.  You now have a way to make this button visible or not.  I recommend that you use a structure of the event and create a case of change of the value of the button control.  Fair value of the visible property of your other buttons according to the value.

• Displaying page numbers InDesign back forward in the pages Panel

  I've implemented a new Indesign document and the page numbers are rear display forward in the pages for example Panel 3-1 instead of 1-3.

  I changed the numbering in the numbering section but it makes no difference.

  When you create a new document, where your link to the left or to the right? It is found in the paper configuration dialog or in the new document.

  I just installed the Exchange Panel, and none of the buttons doesn't work nor do the search. I use the desktop version of Photoshop CS6 on Windows 8.1. Any help would be appreciated.

• How can I disable the alternative page layouts in the pages Panel?

  For some reason any my pages Panel as divided into two columns, header V A4 and A4 V 2, I assume these are models replacing export HTML or something.

  How can I disable these options? I don't need this feature right now and I have pages in a single column that I need in the other. Don't seem to be able to find the commands to do this.

  I searched the forums for a solution to my problem before posting. I'm sorry if I'm doubly question from someone, but I'm going:

  I noticed this problem I have about 6 months ago. When I create a simple document with auto-numbering of all right. When I try and create a section (for example, I want my numbering to start at 1 on page 3) it actually works, however, in the Panel Pages, the pages appear with their base numbers. You agree that it is quite confusing. I tried different files, the same files on different computers and so forth. The problem has to do with my installation of InDesign CS4 and I guess it's a kind of a display option that I accidentally turned on.

  Could someone please suggest a solution? Thank you!

  You can use HTML code to achieve the same thing.

• Cannot replace Pages (by drag and drop in the Pages panel) in Acrobat 9 Pro

  I'm running OS X 10.5.8, Acrobat Pro 9.1.3, PowerMac G5 PPC.

  I'll have two PDF files to open and I want to replace A document pages by some pages of document B.  Rather than use the command replace Pages from the Document menu, I prefer to see visually what I'm changing.  For this reason, I have always preferred the drag and drop method, where one selects a thumbnail of page of a document and it falls on a thumbnail of the page into another document. Only, it seems to be a problem in Acrobat 9.  It works fine in Acrobat 7.1.1 and 8.1.6.  Drag-and - d├⌐poser will insert pages, but the replacement of pages does not work.  As described in the Acrobat help, under 'Pages to replace using a page thumbnail,' I try to drop the thumbnail of the page on the page number as prescribed but the page should be replaced never points out as it should.  It will only give the insertion culminating between each page, indicating that it is about to insert a page.

  Other Mac exhibit the same behavior - it always works in Acrobat 7 and 8, but not 9.
