    b. click on the settings tab and then click Advanced.

    c. click the Troubleshooting tab, and then move the hardware acceleration to none.

  • C00D0FF4 error message when you try to share the media in the Player Windows Media Player 11 and Vista Home Premium SP2 64-bit

    Hello
I can't share my media using WMP 11.  When I try to do, opens a window of options asking how I want to share media files (with xbox, other users, etc.), and I select the options and click OK.  Then, when I return in the sharing of multimedia files to see if the media are indeed shared, a window opens informing me "Media sharing has been disabled because a required Windows setting or component has been changed. For any additional help, click Help on the Web. When I click Web help, the error code above, with a few troubshooting not.  You must ensure that Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service is turned on.  However, when I get to the list of Services, WMP Network Sharing is not.  It is also a step to confirm the ownership of a registry subkey.  When I try to access the subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences\HME\ [security ID], however, there is no security ID subkey.  Instead of that, by virtue of the MCH, there is a list of "default (name), REG_SZ (type) and not the value (data)".

Suggestions about how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.  Would it be useful to simply uninstall WMP and start over?  If so, how to do that?  I saw an obvious way to do it.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

  • the Player Windows media, rip a CD takes forever

When I copy a CD it takes forever. This has changed recently because it was fast. It takes between 15 and 20 minutes to rip a standard CD. It is used to do this in 2 or 3 minutes. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the latest version, but it did not help. I am ripping to MP3 format 128. I ran CCleaner and Avast. Any suggestions?

    Hi razorray1,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. Do you have any third-party DVD burning software installed on the computer?
    3. What version of Windows media player installed on the computer?

    Method 1

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, consult you are facing similar problem ripping CDs any other size of file and check if that helps.

Also uninstall any of third-party DVD burning software installed on the computer and check if it helps.

    Windows 7 & WMP 12 Mini Player

I used the mini Player (taskbar) all the time in PX and vista. I was wondering why he was left out of WMP 12 and Win7? I was hoping that if a programmer reads this, you can add it before the release. (PLEASE!)

    Jasqid,
The preview area when you highlight the WMP in the front to the back and play/pause buttons.

So far, this is what I personally found it to be a good way to navigate.

I agree with you, the Windows Media Player toolbar is very useful.
It may have been infavor removed for a sleeker interface (consider the WMC gadget that you can add to your desktop).

  • Impossible to play the song in the Player Windows Media - original file cannot be found

original title: original file could not be found

Can not play in itunes or windows media player tried to burn, and he says original file can not be found how find orginal, he bought it on emusic are downloaded on ipod, but now his party? help me find?

Use Windows search to find your file.

If you do not know what are the exact title (and its spelling) then use the character generic way:

*.MP3 if its a file in MP3 you are looking for
*.wav if it is a file in wav format

    etc.

The * (asterisk) acts as a wild card for Windows Search will throw all, for example, the mp3 files on your PC. Note down where the file is stored and either move it to a folder that you want, or "point" and WMP or iTunes to this location using the file add to the library feature.

If both formats above are not that you downloaded, you simply substitute the file extension for the one who is.

  • the Player Windows Media Player 11 burned CD missing information.

I burned a CD with WMP 11 in my XP Pro machine and it played on my computer Windows 7 using WMP12. He played but no information about the albums, artists presented themselves.  I wanted to copy the CD, but I'm really sick of Unknown in my music so I won't start to pollute my new machine. Any help here. Thank you

If you burned the files as an audio cd (one you can play in a CD player) the information will not be saved. If you burn the files on the CD as a data disc, the information must be stored.

If the two computers are connected to a router, you simply share your music and copy the files to the Windows 7 computer like that.

  • the Player Windows media 7 sound but no picture just stopped working

Windows 7 media player on my pc hp laptop pavilion dv7 plays sound just no picture, I downloaded vlc player is the same can help you please

You may have to reinstall the OS by doing a restore. The problem could be due to a corruption of a codec registry key in the registry.  You can also try to do a restore of the system for some older dsates and check if this solves the problem. You can also lose some files and applications that you installed after the date chosen for the restoration of the system. It is always better to lose some files rather than ending up losing the receipt of data on the hard drive.

  • How to take your side of the Player Windows Media and custimozations to a new PC?

If you buy a new PC and want to keep all the settings/sides/customizations from the old, how do you do that? I don't want to not repeat the entire collections and re - note songs or add custom columns.

If you use MP3/WMA and keep my ratings stars as global ratings in files is enabled in Options of WMP, the sides will be automatically transferred to the new PC, as well as music files.

For more information, such as the counties of play and custom columns, you can use the backup of metadata to import and export your library.

    Hello

    1. don't you also get an error with the message code?
2 have you installed third-party readers part?
    3. What is the format of the files you are trying to play?

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

I would have you readers of third party temporarily Uninstall and check if persists it to the question.

    Step 2:

Most likely you need codecs to play these files with Windows Media Player. I suggest looking up codec in the Internet that supports the file format, download and install them.
