  Pages corresponding to the chapters or sections of this manual updates on this site in the knowledge base, but I have not noticed a convenient table of contents and is not a way to download all in PDF format. At least, not yet.

  I have encountered this same problem after charge a laptop Win7 twice.  When the problem occurs, the laptop is impossible to install any printer object on the machine of any provider in the field of devices and printers.  We use the latest solution of complete software from HP.com.  It is a USB printer installation situation.

  The scanner and fax functions are able to install without problem in Device Manager.  We can run the scanner with the HP software without any problems.  However, the print in Device Manager device remains in the category other devices and fails to install every time.

  Anyone has any ideas on where to start for this one?  See the attachment for a screenshot of the error when executing addition MS one assistant of the printer.

  I was able to solve the problem for now.

  We tried a number of solutions:

  1 Add/Remove from Device Manager

  2 Add/Remove tab of device drivers drivers and printers

  3. Uninstall and reinstall with the latest software

  4 charge the laptop

  5 disable HP Smart Install

  6. create alternative USB printer objects in devices and printers

  7. Mrs. FixIt 50979 and 50984

  What ended by us to install the object HP Printing in Device Manager is a manual cleaning of the two areas.  Once these areas have been cleaned for restart us the print spooler, manually pointed objects in the Device Manager for the the driver files on the machine and finished the installation wizard triggered AutoRun automatically power off.

  We have removed all the contents of this folder:

  C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\w32x86\3

  We have also removed all HP registry entries in this area:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Drivers\Version-3

  It was of course a pain in coming to this conclusion, but at least my user works again and be able to print.  Time will tell whether or not something will come and corrupting its Setup again.

• Printer appears online in devices and printers, but in offline mode in the print dialog box

  After I plugged an inkjet printer from Canon iP4000 in my computer running Windows 7 SP 1 Ultimate 64 - bit edition, the printer is displayed correctly in devices and printers as a printer online but appears offline in print dialog common used by applications.

  Sometimes, I am able to print despite the problem, but as a general rule, the monitoring software will say that the printer does not Canon.

  In addition, a WiFi adapter sometimes loses the WiFi connection and is unable to find all the networks.

  Tried many things:

  • Uninstall of the printer
  • Manually clearing print jobs
  • Reset
  • Unplug the printer from a USB hub and connect directly to a USB port on the monitor

  I can not easily plug the printer to the computer directly because of the locations of the case of the printer and the computer. I tried to connect the printer directly to my ThinkPad and the printer does work very well in this situation.

  The printer is dead and the 'solution' is to Canon printer in an electronic recycler so buy a Brother laser printer that takes in charge of wireless network.

  I'm trying to debug an application multi-threaded running inside a virtual machine, both in live replay mode. The virtual machine is running RHEL 5, kernel 2.6.18 - 164-2-1. I tried the gdb remote running on the host computer for this virtual machine (also a RHEL 5 machine) as well as of a box of Ubuntu 8.04. The results in both cases are identical. I am running VMWare Workstation 6.5.3.

  I can attach it to the virtual machine and, after issuing the command "linuxoffsets" monitor", see all the processes. I can switch between them using the command 'thread '. However, I can't see backtrace. I suspect that it is because the symbols are not loaded correctly.

  If I try to debug a live application, gdb tries not to load the symbols at all, no matter what I do.

  If I try to debug a session of proofreading, gdb tries to load the symbols after that I run the command 'remote target. However, it seems for them on the machine running gdb, and not on the host being debugged. I tried to copy all libraries to the machine where gdb is running and setting the solib-search-path and solib-absolute-prefix options. If I do this, gdb claims load all symbols libraries successfully, but the batteries are largely deformed. If I try to set breakpoints, they never get triggered.

  I was wondering what is the correct procedure to make it work. The user manual has instructions for some of this, but they seem to be for Windows. GDB and Linux are not mentioned at all.

  Hi Ray,

  6.5.3 workstation does not support replay debugging gdb.  Do us, however, publish a new Workstation Release Candidate, that supports Linux gdb debugging replay.  You can download from http://communities.vmware.com/community/beta/workstation?view=overview.  The gdb user manual debugging replay is http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-10714.  Let us know how it goes.

  Hi, if you remove the front panel display web services printer it will make printers inactive email address and you can then re-enable web services to generate a new certificate claim code (email address). Let me know the model of the printer if you have problems with this.

  Hi, just bought the above and can only get 4 out of 5 bars on my wifi signal strength even though I'm barely 2-3 m away from my Virginmedia Superhub. I have run the Diagnostics network HP, updated drivers Intel Wireless AC-3160 (for a newer version that offers the HP site) and changed all the power plan for maximum performance for the wifi, nothing helps. Is a signal strength less than optimal usual for this PC? Anything else I can try?

I have a wireless card Intel 7260 in the laptop that replaces this new PC and thought of it exchange for the 3160 in the Pavilion, but I would like a manual that showed how to go for the opening of the Pavilion to upgrades like this one - or the memory or disk, if I chose to down later on the line.
