HP Pavilion 23-q110na: HP Pavilion 23-q110na and the user manual wifi signal

Hi, just bought the above and can only get 4 out of 5 bars on my wifi signal strength even though I'm barely 2-3 m away from my Virginmedia Superhub. I have run the Diagnostics network HP, updated drivers Intel Wireless AC-3160 (for a newer version that offers the HP site) and changed all the power plan for maximum performance for the wifi, nothing helps. Is a signal strength less than optimal usual for this PC? Anything else I can try?

Also, can someone point me in the direction of a user manual? I have a wireless card Intel 7260 in the laptop that replaces this new PC and thought of it exchange for the 3160 in the Pavilion, but I would like a manual that showed how to go for the opening of the Pavilion to upgrades like this one - or the memory or disk, if I chose to down later on the line.

Thank you

I came across your post about the WiFi problem and wanted to help!

It is possible that whatever your settings, you can not reach maximum bars all the time.  You can try to review the following, to see if there is something you missed: HP PC - troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 10)

  • I have problems keeping records and files of the administrator and the user separate in my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6700) under Windows Vista Home Premium.

I have problems separating records and files of the administrator and the user. My computer is a laptop (HP Pavilion dv6700), used as a home computer only by myself, I like to keep the two distinct roles, but am unable to as Vista seems to be considered as one and the same. This scenario has arisen as follows:

Initially, when I bought the laptop - approx. 18 months back - Windows Vista Home Premium was preinstalled, with the name 'Administrator' as an administrator. To customize the operating system and to use safely, I installed a user 'Renault', as a Standard account user.

After awhile, I changed the name of the Director of "Renault", for reasons I have can not remember now. This caused Vista to combine folders and files of the two "users" in one, I found difficult to deal with, that I could not operate my laptop as just a Standard user, but is still considered the "administrator." On the one hand, this greatly increased spam in my email accounts. So I tried to reset the name of the administrator as 'Administrator' itself and keep my user name as "Renault", as originally the case.  But Vista me has failed to create a new user under the name "Administrator". So I created a new user under the name "System administrator", with administrative privileges. This has been accepted by Vista.

But I forgot to change the user account for 'Renault', on the Standard account, so there was BOTH administrator accounts at the same time on my laptop! I realized that now only. The net result was that all the files that I created under the system administrator user were still being displayed under the user account of Renault. A few days back, I realized this and tried to separate the files correctly, but it has not been possible. No matter what I copied the account of the user in the files under the system administrator account, the files have been copied on account of the user himself.

I tried to fix this by changing the name of the user account in something very different, AND as a Standard user. but this also does not work, as all folders and files under the administrator account system shows it as being under the user account of "Renault" only!

Then, I deleted the user 'Renault' from the list of the user, but he was not yet of any help. Whenever I tried to create a new file under the system administrator, Vista responds with the message, "C:\user\Rajaram folder is not present. Will I create a new? ", which defeat the same purpose of my tent to isolate the administrator account and the user account.

SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE WITH A SOLUTION, - OTHER THAN REFORMATTING MY C:\ DISK AND REINSTALL VISTA AGAIN - TO GET OUT OF THIS MESS, IT SEEMS TO ME YOU HAVE CREATED AND HELP ME TO HAVE AN ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT AND OTHER UNIQUE STANDARD USER ACCOUNTS PROPERLY ISOLATED.

I would be always grateful for a quick and helpful response.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply. It was very helpful / sorry your proposed solution has not solved my problem. Kind regards. -Rajaram77

Better to delete the user account except the one that was built in the administrator account that you renamed. Before this backup all your data files of these user accounts.
Then rename the buil into account administrator as 'administrator '. Then you create another administrator account and use it and never the user built in Administrator account and leave it alone.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6b86us and the printer HP 7520 by a 12 volt inverter current?

Can I use a sinus prue or modified inverter 12V sine to run the laptop and printer in my truck?

    Hello

I think you may have meant a pure sine wave instead of "prue Sine.

The average automotive inverter will provide enough clean power to run the device, but it is not as effectively. You can run your laptop from the inverter, but it won't charge almost dead to full battery while using it. If you can afford to buy a UPS of the top end that feeds a sinewave pure AC your device will work effectively. Take note of the ability of Watts from the inverter, you buy. Best units are manufactured by Whistler and Tripp among others. You might consider tarticle from Consumer Reports in order to understand a little more on the motor inverters and their reading skills. He explained in simple terms.

  • PC Pavilion laptop: no sound on Pavilion g6 after installing the new battery CMOS

I have a Pavilion g6z - 1 d 00 CTO Notebook PC, model A2F43AV number.  It came with Windows 7 Home Premium, and I upgraded the operating system to Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).

The problem is that I did not sound, either through headphones or the speakers even if the Volume is set at 55. I first noticed the audio problem after replacing the CMOS battery, as the laptop is 4 years old and he gave me intermittent wireless connectivity problems.  After installing the new battery CMOS, I noticed the wireless driver was missing and downloaded/installed.  Everything was fine except the audio.  Then I reset the BIOS but nothing there as the BIOS version is v.49, and it is the most recent.

I have also downloaded/installed the driver audio and rebooted the PC.  Still, there is no noise.

Finally, I have checked the audio drivers and the reporting system they work without any problem.

    What should I do next?

    Thanks, Terry

    @Terry57

    Thanks for the reply,

I was under the impression that these links would take you to guide step by step, however, it seems that they do not work,

However, I have provided details below:

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

    5. Remove the battery from the compartment to batteries.

    6. Press and hold button power for about 15 seconds, remove any residual electric charge capacitors that protect memory.

    7. Insert the battery and plug the power adapter into the laptop, but do not connect peripheral devices.

    8. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

    9. If a boot menu appears, use the arrow keys to select start Windows normally and then press the Enter key.

    10. After you have reconnected each peripheral device, run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update all device drivers.

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a sealed or non-removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

It will be my first question Yes plase bear. I have laptop HP Pavilion 1005sw g6 and you want to ask questions about the best processor can be handled by the motherborad, even with the memory. I was wondering on AMD Phenom II P960 Quad-Core 25W good choice? Will match without any problems?

    Thanks to advice!

    Repair manuals

Compatible AMD processors listed on the bottom of page 1 to page 2. Top of page processor is

    AMD Phenom™ II N970 (2.2 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache, 1333 MHz, 3.6 GT/s - Quad 35 W)

You have already disassembled it to the bottom for the jury so start at 75. The N970 will be a quick replacement for your processor. It is not soldated or even welded; It is nested. The P360 is a dual core 2.3 GHz and the N970 is a Quad at 2.2 ghz. I think you'll find that the improvement is subtle, unless you do a lot of multi-threads apps.
