  We are in transition FM to users of windows xp sp3 for windows 7 64 bit. Our users of FM were improved to 10 FM FM7. We are completely stuck with FM lack of all types of fonts. We copied the fonts and installed Windows XP machine to windows 7 and are still major problems with fonts. Users have adobe 7.0 installed complete and we are running msoffice 2010 32-bit.  He also had to update our print drivers 64-bit servers.  For example, arial is one of these questions:

  If you know which files are missing fonts, you must only open files. It is not necessary to open all the 75 files in the book. The point is to bypass the message before creating the PDF file.   I have recently upgraded the OS on my iMac late 2012 for Sierra, since doing so, I noticed a problem with several fonts.

  All symbolic symbols Apple to Wingdings fonts not correctly displayed in the font book. Apple symbols looks like a standard wheelbase of san, and other symbolic fonts just show as question marks '?' where the images should be.

  In text editing, that I can't even see the symbolic fonts like Zapf Dingbats and Wingdings in the selector. However, they all work well in Adobe Illustrator (CS5) and Microsoft Word 2011. Apple symbols still looks like a standard font.

  I already tried the following:

  1. check the fonts in font book

  2 fix the duplicates in the font book

  3. using the "Restore Standard fonts" option in the font book

  4 deleting a file in the folder Preferences plist Fonts

  5 deleted the cache of police and the database

  I'm out of ideas. Has anyone else had the same problem found a fix?

  I'm just to add that I used the recovery partition to do a clean install of Sierra on a hard drive external and then booted into it to see if it had the same problem.

  And he does. Wingdings and other photo fonts appear as '?' in boxes where the letters must be in the font book.

  So this seems like a problem with the way Sierra displays these fonts, not with the font files themselves.

• How to solve the problem of dropout PDF fonts?

  We have 64-bit Windows machines, FM9 and Acrobat Pro 9.4.  Very random and quite regularly, chunks of text simply do not appear in the PDF file.  Spacing for text is preserved, but the text is missing (similar to white text and mixing in the background).  Words in the paragraph that have applied a format of characters sometimes appear in the right position, with regular text around them missing.

  Here are the things we have tried so far without success:

  -There was a similar problem at the time of 32 bit I think that Microsoft has released a fix for, but there is no equivalent of 64-bit, I can find.

  -Delete the windows\system32\fntcache.dat file and all the .otf fonts improves the result, but does not completely resolve it.

  -Drop the DPI print descent of 144dpi seems to fix, but the problem came back the next day

  Does anyone know of this problem and a solution?  Of course, looks like a memory leak, memory written by kind of emission limits.  It could also be that the text that gets dropped in the final text that was entered, who, knowing how FM stores paragraphs, is not necessarily the last text in the file.  Funny, is that the problem is intermittent.  Restart seems to help, but not all the time.

  The problem proved to be indeed a Windows bug which has even affected Word users but much less frequently together with ot print a PostScript printer (PDF creation of FrameMaker is always, even if hidden, print PostScript as a single step). The bug has been fixed before the release of Windows 7, and as such, you won't see in this version 32-bit or 64-bit OS environment. And I think the fix peut have actually hit the Vista SP2 setting in 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Vista.

  The bug is fixed by the hotfix package, although I'm not sure that the correction has been made for XP 64-bit. Adobe does not officially support 64-bit XP to what whatever and we have so much of the end-user community consider 64-bit XP to more of an experience than a reliable operating system environment. Many pilots and fixes ever made for XP 64-bit.

  b. click on the Compatibility tab.
  c. Select run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) from the list.
  d. Select run this program as an administrator, and then click OK to save the changes.
  e. open the configuration file.

  bold text I just installed Thunderbird 24.6 on a new system running under Windows 7 64-bit. I can read and send messages, but in the component main, new messages are not "BOLD", and e-mail accounts that have new messages are not fat, either. On another Windows 7 x 64 system I don't have this problem. The add-on installed only is lightning on the new system and I started Thunderbird in safe mode, but that has not solved the problem.   Problem solved. I was playing with the Windows font setting and chose a policy that did not separate entries "BOLD" and not "BOLD" (Segoe UI Semibold)

A larger size font is used which often causes wrap around. In one case, a table is now given a manufacturing rather dark gray background fearing difficult.
