  This problem occurs with the 64-bit application as Acrobat is a 32-bit application making it incompatible to insert objects into a MS Word 64-bit application.

  As a workaround solution insert the object as a 'Create New' rather than create a file.

  When I open Control Panel-> default programs and try to associate the Mailto with Firefox, the only options it gives me are "Mail" (the Metro app I'm moving away) and "seek an app in the store.   I'm having a problem with a type definition, that once I have make changes by adding another element to the enum changes do not appear in the program and the program control is grayed.  I had this problem yesterday, but just decided to remove the type definition file and rebuild a new.  But today when I did change the enum in the program say it is disabled.  I joined the program and the control file.  I wish you to know why I'm having this problem since it seems to happen whenever I make a change to the control.  I am running LabVIEW 2010 on a Dell dimension 2400 using Windows XP with service pack 3 5.1.2600.  I was wondering if LabVIEW 2010 has all the questions running on XP which can cause this kind of problem.

  I tried your program in 2010sp1 and in 2011, and I have no problem. Once you modify the type definition and add items to the enum, the instances will become gray until you 'apply changes' or 'save' the typedef. After that, all instances of the typedef is updated with new items.

  I have a LabVIEW 2009 application that uses a driver for a USB device, created using the wizard of the Driver NI-VISA.  What my minimum installation of runtime needed to understand when I move it on a non-development machine?

  On my dev machine, I went to MAX and given my new camera USB one alias of VISA.  I think I'll meet trouble if my deployment includes no MAX on TIME machine.

  Right now, I guess the minimum is LabVIEW 2009 DURATION, NOR-DAQmx Configuration (including MAX) execution, duration of NI-VISA.

  If not, is there a method that avoids having to configure an alias altogether?  It would be nice to not not need NOR-DAQmx, I use not any material that my USB device with driver custom.

  Not sure why you consider same installation DAQmx. You can install just MAX, the VISA duration and your harware MAX configuration. The installerallows of LabVIEW allows you to export the configuration, and then you select the option to import on the deployment computer. You will also need to include the installation of the inf file you created with the wizard.

  The solution to the problem where I selected systems in conrtrol Panel; checked the systems developed and then, under performance settings I checked Show thumbnails and not icons. In fact, it was already ticked so I don't know why it was a problem in the first place.  Thank you!!
