The recent 'improvement' Fox 'security' continuing cause pop-up windows: known programs

I tried the suggested fixes, but the problem remains.

I get a warning that appears in a new status bar on top of the screen above the page display: "allow example.com"(the browser page) to run "Dragon NaturallySpeaking"? ". (different programs) and to the far right of this message, two converted (boxed) options: 'Keep blocking' and 'allow '.
Choose "continue to block", and it does nothing. (I can still use Dragon this page!)
Choose 'allow' and repeat options and usually add Flash as an additional option, which must be clicked separately to allow.
Unfortunately, it is never the end of the year. Go back to the same site, and you must go through the same exercise.

I appreciate teamwork particularly in terms of security of Firefox, but I really need a way to fix this problem.
Thanks in advance,
Himagain
I couldn't add all the images because I don't see a way to copy the system generated error messages as pop-ups.

This is to allow a plugin to be used on a web page.

You can control and manage permissions for the domain in the tab currently selected through these steps:

  • Click the address bar onthe Site identity button"(globe/lock)
  • Click on 'More information' to open ' tools > Page Info "with the Security tab is selected
  • Go to the permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

Thanks Cor - el!
Not only fixed the problem but I learned two Foxy more "Secrets".

We must do more to promote the 'padlock' out there - I'd forgotten how important/useful it is and never knew he could provide!

When I hover over a word or an expression that has a double line below, a suggestion box comes with a link that takes me to a site that is in regards to the word or phrase that I flew over.

Hello kayjay76, this looks like a problem caused by some sort of adware on your pc. Please go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also, go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software you have in place and various other tools such as the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

Remove a toolbar that has supported your Firefox or the homepage search

    (1) go to control Panel\Programs\Programs and features and uninstall the whole utility associated with the URL you posted here

Then open your browser and select tools---> manage addons---> in bars and extensions to remove/disable tools no matter what url you posted here

    (2) use a scanner at a time and during the scan close the browser...

use the Microsoft Safety Scanner and have a complete analysis of the system

    And/or
Download hitman pro 3.7 (shareware and can be activated for free for 30 days)and have a complete analysis of the system... http://www.SurfRight.nl/en

    And/or
use adwcleanerand and have a complete analysis of the system... ( http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/dl/125/)

    (3) return to search and homepage settings back to default IE values, add this to the registry after cleaning and it will recover your browser settings and homepage

  • Edit the object and then save back causes the object to move?

    Hello

I use Acrobat X 10.1.6 update. When you edit PDF documents in a right-click and then by selecting "Change the subject", I get my usual Illustrator pop-up window, change my color or anything else, save, moves back to Acrobat, and the object in question! This has only started happening recently and I have been using Acrobat on a daily basis in my work, as a device, since Acrobat 7 Professional prepress and never had this problem.

Please tell us what is causing the object to move? I re-installed Acrobat today and being updated and no change. I also have several colleagues on the different versions of Acrobat from 9.5.3 to 10.1.6 who cannot reproduce this problem, even on the same PDF file?

    Thanks in advance.

    Tom.

I have a feeling it may be a problem of Illustrator. That update?

Dell Inspiron 1505 laptop with Windows XP Home Edition SP3.

  • centering of the pop-up window

    Hello
is it possible to make the pop-up (movie - .swf, with getURL or LoadMovie) itself Center any monitor a bit or the resolution the user, visitor use? I want to say, the center of the screen, ' cuz you Koe sometimes a pop-up window appears on the left or right, or where the user has located the last pop-up...

OK, I got the answer myself,
    Sorry to bother...

  • I OPTED ON promotions (and 2 others, the third won't let me her behind her window) and it will not shut - how can I disable it forever?

    You have an opt-out option.
THIS disengagement option has an option to always.
    IT DOES NOT WORK.

I have never chosen on the beast) (& * % ^ * & () * ^ tab which is located in the MIDDLE OF MY SCREEN, covering a THIRD of my screen (and 62 cm - it was during the slaughter!)) ... IN CASE OF FAILURE. (at least 4 times)
I have a dout opts for always under the stupid tab on the side OF my screen... IN CASE OF FAILURE. (at least 8 times)
I am unable to withdraw for always in the tab that appears at the bottom of my screen, as it appears from the opt-out options BEHIND the window I want to withdraw forever from the. (I call this EPIC fail).

When I read a story on the line, I DO NOT WANT to STORE. If I'm shopping in the Amazon for a book, I will read this book. IT IS BORING to HAVE to CLOSE OUT WINDOWS EVERY TIME I RESEARCH for a NEW BOOK - consider that I search/buy about 15 books at a time - after checking maybe 50 opening on TOP of these tabs.

I also want to get rid of her notes with the arrows green circle thingy that open pop-up windows up if I mouse over them. (there are 3 of them under this box, I type as I type, and pushing the mouse away widened at least 4 stupid windows pop up - which I blocked pop ups in the options... then WHY?)

I realize this can not fixed on the spot, as it is going to require a real programmer to fix, but please, pass this up to or more than that CAN fix. I have used firefox since before patch 4 after it went live. I LOVED the old "you're F * d (etc." page you used to have that directly opposes internet Explorers page not found - and I actually had the time to read and had a terrible time stopping laughing (at work of all places) when I did it. I don't want to change browser, but these * features * do not Captivate me--especially since * features * should be optional, and turn them off should work.

Thank you for your help and I hope you have a good day/evening and horribly painful is more people like me. < 3 x o

Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of. Check your modules is:

    • Tools > Add-ons, or
    • > Modules

Remove all the extensions that appear to be suspicious.

I recommend that you try to scan with MalwareBytes or AdwCleaner

More information can be found in the article troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware .

  • Opening of session of Sierra produced several pop-up windows

Since the upgrade to Sierra a series of pop-up windows appears right after the desktop appears.  One is a settings dialog box "analysis of the PC" apparently linked to the Canon MX920 we use, even if the printer/Scanner sharing is disabled in system preferences.

A second pop-up window is an error Java SDK chronic also appeared after the initial upgrade of El Capitan.  This popup is displayed regardless of the question of whether Java is updated to the latest rev, or once the Pref window disappears completely in the system preferences panel.

The windows popup to third and following related to the parameters of the firewall for "openinfo" network connections, "openexec" and "openbase.  These popups appear even if the settings of the firewall have been set to 'Allow' or 'Block' inbound network traffic for each of them... and for "openbase" even once the OpenBase Pref Pane has been removed from the System Prefs.  In addition, they appear even after the firewall has been disabled.

The next update of Sierra should address these errors as soon as POSSIBLE or we will return to Yosemite.

Changing the settings of firewall to block all incoming connections eliminates the popups mentioned in the third paragraph above.

The "Scan of the PC Settings" and the Java SDK error dialog boxes always appear after the successful logon.  Running MalwareBytes and ClamXav do not eliminate these pop-up windows.

  • -Pop-up windows can not scroll?

I noticed that in comparing to other browsers when there is a pop-up, for example when you use PrintFriendly to print the page I'll be staying - this pop-up window is not at all, making it impossible to decide what to print or not scrollable.

Unfortunately this uses shareaholic and bury code in some minimized js code (and as I am not web developer myself i can't make much sense of it unfortunately).

According to http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/met_win_open.asp , it seems that chrome and webkit browsers are simply not address the setting of scrollbars in Window.Open)

your only options may be to report this behavior as a bug of shareaholic (https://shareaholic.com/contact) or to implement the functionality of printfriendly manually yourself...
