the Red Cross near volume icon - peripheral output Audio n is installed

For some reason the last 2 days, my volume icon has a red x on it and says "no audio output device is available".

The sound works for error messages, but nothing like itunes or youtube does not work

And no it's not on mute, its got an error-type-cross, not the diagonol red line

What should I do? I do not use speakers or headphones, it's literally just the speakers on my laptop that I use

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me :)

Hello

The sound card is recognized correctly in the Device Manager?
This sounds to me like an audio driver problem.

Try to remove the sound card in Device Manager and reboot the device.
Wait for the windows operating system has recognized the sound card again and try again.

If this will not help-> reinstall the audio driver.

In most cases, it helps...
