The automatic Windows Updater is not in my list of all programs.
Can I download it form Microsoft site? Is the case, how do I know if what I download is appropriate for my VISTA operating system?
Hello
Vista includes Windows updates. Panel configuration-update of Windows.
Or Start - type in the search-> Windows Update search at the top of the list box and double-click it.
I hope this helps.

The MS window update Portal is now faster and better
Hello
Thank you for the upgrade of the Portal window update.
I have recently reinstall my Win XP and found that the cumulative update takes less time to complete. I really appreciate the ability of this new software that is capable of downloading the update up to 120 at the same trial. It also requires fewer to reboot the PC to complete the remaining update.
I hope that the methodology can be applied to all windows.
Much appreciate if MS could continue to improve the program of the window so that it can be more effective at cumulative updates
Thank you

For the last month or more, I had the same two updates for my computer
original title: Windows updates
For the last month or more, I had the same two updates on my computer. Is anyone know why and what I can do to fix this? I am running Windows XP. Thank you very much.
Hello
the message "you have hidden the important updates" is normal, because you have hidden the high priority updates, but the updates are already installed, if that's OK.
Try to look again at the web page:
http://www.update.Microsoft.com/
and click on "Custom".
You should not see the updates (KB2518864 and KB2539631) in "review and install updates.
You should see only "Important - you have hidden the important updates..." and "high-priority - updates non-priority updates to update for your computer... ».
Then, try this (remove the content of the "'C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution" ")
- Click Start, click run, type services.mscand click OK.
- In the Services (Local) pane, click automatic updates, and then click stop.
- Reduce the Services (local) window.
- Select all the contents of the Windows distribution folder, and then delete them.
Note By default, the Windows distribution folder is located in the drive: \Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder. This place is a placeholder for the drive where Windows is installed.
- Ensure that Windows distribution folder is emptyand enlarge the Services (local) window.
- In the Services (Local) pane, click automatic updates, and then click Start.
- Restart the computer.
I hope that we will achieve the goal, it will no longer still report the updates :-)

Is it ok to remove the old Windows updates as I have many of them take a lot of disk space?
I have several updates of microsoft for a few years. I am auto update, but all the old updates are still there. Is it necessary to keep or to delete to free up space. I get warnings that the computer is low on virtual memory.
original title: is it OK to remove the old windows updates as I have many of them taking place?Virtual memory is used only when your physical memory has been exhausted. This happens usually either when you have not restarted recently, or when you have too many programs running at the same time. I suggest you reboot at least once a week and if it continues to happen, a purchase more RAM.

How can I get my email to work again after that the recent Windows Update has been installed?
I am running Windows XP and yesterday it has downloaded an automatic update, it turned off and today I can't in Outlook Express for some reason, any help will be appreciated?
Hi TaylorBurns,-What happens when you try to start Outlook Express?-You receive an error message or error code? If so, specify the same?-Do you remember the number of the Knowledge Base (KB) update that has been installed recently?See the update history for the same. Follow these steps to do the same thing:i. Click Start, click Control Panel and then double-click Add / Remove programs.
II. open Add / Remove programs.
III. at the top right, select the box show updates to date. All installed updates appear at the top of your list of programs.
Check the event viewer if there is no error message related to this topic.See the following links for the same: -

Lack of this option: "open documents as new tabs in the same window.
I have Adobe Acrobat DC (Classic) Version 2015.006.30119.
I saw that there is a feature in Edit > Preferences > General called "Open Documents as tabs in the same window," however, Miss me this option.
It is not available in the Classic way?
(Image taken from another post.)
Are you sure, sukritd15, it appears in the traditional way? I heard that he said that tabs are certainly not in the classic version and will be unavailable to people with permanent license until the payment of the next update, subscription only. And according to Adobe - Acrobat: for Windows is the latest version.

NavigateToURL doesn't open in the same window and refresh of infinity
I have a project that requires a "skip" button and to go to a url specified in the same window once the animation is complete. The button works, however the navigatetourl in the last image does not.
Here is the code that I placed in the last picture:
addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, fl_EnterFrameHandler);
function fl_EnterFrameHandler(event:Event):void
{
Start your custom code
This code example displays the words "Framework of entry" in the output panel.
navigateToURL (new URLRequest ("http://www.student.nvcc.edu/home/amlayne/ite170/dreamweaver/graded_assignments/index.html"), '_self');
;
Stop();
Complete your custom code
}
I tried to move it to a previous setting, placing a stop in the previous framework, displacement of the order after stop and so on. No matter what I do, the new url opens in a new window and is in a constant state of refreshment. I also disabled loop but the animation begins to load the first image again anyway. Help, please. I tried several fixed listed in the forums which are built around the same with no different results. You can view my animation here: http://www.student.nvcc.edu/home/amlayne/ite170/flash/graded%20assignments/myintro.html
NOTE: You must close the browser to get the update to stop.
I have worked on this issue in two days and I am at a total loss.
the enterframe event is dispatched repeatedly several times per second (equal to your pace) and this isn't what you want.
Replace all the code with:
navigateToURL (new URLRequest ("http://www.student.nvcc.edu/home/amlayne/ite170/dreamweaver/graded _ * ignments/index.html"), "_self");
Stop();

V29 Firefox to open links in the same window
Since the installation of version 29, I found only two apparently related questions:
(1) I find that links open in the same window as the source, instead of a new window.
For example, I get a notification of a newsletter every day in my Yahoo email account. Before v29, when I clicked on the link in the email to go to the newsletter, it would open in a NEW window (my preference).
With version 29, it opens in the SAME window (and replaces the window where I had Yahoo mail open).
(2) in the same way, I do a lot of work where the links will appear in an Excel worksheet. Previously, whenever I clicked on one, it will open a new window. If I clicked on 6, I have 6 windows open. Now, every link I click REPLACES the last one that I opened.
These two problems are very annoying and slow me down.
Is there a setting where I can change this behavior?
I found that after Firefox v29, a LOT of my settings and
Add - ons have been changed / reset. Try this;
Launch Firefox in Mode safe
While you are in safe mode;
Firefox Options > advanced > General.
Find and stop using hardware acceleration.
Then check ALL your settings. Browser and Add-ons. Then restart. -
I have a labtop Sony Vaio with Windows Vista, just updated for the new Firefox and now when I go to add a tab in the same window, it will not allow a new. I clicked on the + thing button/tab a bunch of times and nothing happens. What can I do to fix this? I'm not very computer so the step by step instructions would help a lot. Thanks for any help.
Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.
There are a few places to check for the Ask toolbar:
- Check the control panel Windows for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
