The unit unregistered voicemail ports

We are going to have a problem with messaging ports voice opt-out of our call manager. We lack unity 4.0 (3) SR1 and CCM 4.0 (1). This occurred after a voice broadcasting has been distributed to each Subscriber. One by one the ports started unsubscribe. CCM currently displays 48 ports of voicemail for the unit on our main server as 'unknown '. 48 ports on our server in the failover unit are "registered".

We currently operate to failover and restarting the primary server. Ports are still unregistered.

We also checked in UTIM settings but still no change in the status of the port. Any thoughts?

When the main server is idle it will unregister its ports of CCM. This is how calls get routed directly to the secondary server without trying to sound all ports on the primary server first. When you perform a failback (manual or scheduled) major ports will be re-register.

You might look closer on the secondary server application event log. My guess would be that this failover event was triggered by something else before that ports on the primary has been cancelled. One possibility that comes to mind with a message to all subscribers, is that all the ports on the primary were busy doing outgoing and MWI Notification message. Then, it could force the incoming calls to ring on the secondary server, which in turn could trigger a failover.

    I recently did a 4.2 unit migration of Unit 8 connection that went well with the help of some of these people in the forum. As there is always something. Now, I'm running the questions fall my voicemail email accounts.

    As I understand the connection unit will deliver voice messages in two modes:

    1. via IMAP Inbox separately on the users email client.

    2 store on the front, via relay about the unit settings.

    I'm trying the second option. I have configured on the face of the unit connection, the appropriate SMTP domain (example, myname.org) and the name of the smart host (mail.myname.org)

    Tested and I am not recieveing messages in Mail. Is there anything I need to look at the Exchange or the side users of the connection manager or call the unit that I'm missing?

    On the server connection to the unit, you don't want the SMTP domain to be the same as the domain of corporate email.  By default, connection of the unit will implement its own SMTP domain... com (for example, hailey.lab.com).  It is not a good idea to set up the domain SMTP overlap with an existing domain.

    To SMTP relay, you must make sure that your host relay (mail.myname.org) is configured to provide relay services and also accepts the relay from the server of connection of the unit.

    Finally, if you use the unit connection 8.5 you may exploit the unique Inbox feature which is Unified Messaging (i.e., voice message appears in the Inbox e-mail from Exchange users).

  • Voicemail configuration base with CUCM and connections of the unit

    I'm still very new to CUCM.  I am configuring a CUCMB 6.01 test deployment.  He has connections in the integrated unit.  I have 2 DNs assigned to users and Cisco IP phones.  I use MGCP (Cisco 3745 with 2FXO as gateway).  Now, I'm trying to extensions of voicemail installation for the users.  I read a lot of documentation on CUCM and unity, but I know that Unity Express is not what I need, and that you have not found information on the basics of implementing voicemail for users of CUCM.

    Users are DN 1001 and 1002 respectively.  They are part of a list of hunting (broadcast) so that the arrival of incoming calls, both phones will ring simultaneously.  Not sure if this has any bearing or not.  I would like to be able to put in place so that each DN rings on the IP phone say 6 times, then go to a Unity voicemail box configuration for that user.  I have already imported users 2 in the unit.  I ran the voice messaging port configuration wizard.  Everything looks as if it runs correctly, but I'm stuck really share say CUCM to route the call to the mailbox of the unit.  Probably the simplest part.  Ideas or help on this would be much appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

    So the fact that 1001 and 1002 receive calls via a group has a significant impact on this config.

    You must keep in mind that a call that is routed through the fighter pilot will always ignore the CFWD settings on phones of hunting member of the group. The normal way to control it then is through disconnection of the Group Hunt members phones combined with the front fighter pilot level settings.

    The following section describes how the parameters to call it forward on the phones of individual members Hunt are ignored when presented a call via the hunting feature. Here's a clip;

    Hunting and call forwarding

    The concept of hunting differs from call forwarding. Hunting allows Cisco Unified Communications Manager to extend a call to one or more lists of numbers, where each such list can specify an order of hunting which is selected from a fixed set of algorithms. When a call extends over a part of hunting of these lists and the party does not answer or is busy, hunting resumes from the next part of hunting. (The next party of hunting varies according to the current hunting algorithm). After gaps in the time specified, if hunting was not successful, the call is transferred to a voicemail system, a specific compound number, or some personal treatment (if configured) or the call is released.

    If the call goes unanswered or all Member phones are disconnected, then an attacker needs to be applied at the level of the "fighter pilot".

    In your case, it is best to configure the DN of a fighter pilot in the extension of alternatives under the 1001 and 1002

  • CCM4.0 HuntList and forward to the unit

    I have a project with CCM4.0. The new list of hunting feature allows us to distribute calls within teams. If no one is available, we want to transfer it to the unit.

    Quick overview of the installation:

    -All users of Linegroup

    -Any voice message Linegroup B Port

    -Hunt the list with LG and LG B

    Everything works as expected. There is only a single annoying detail.

    When a call is transferred to the unit, she appears as a direct-dialed call = team number and number = voicemail port selected.

    As far as I know, I have to configure a routing rule for each team to make it work. It's fine for some teams, but I'm looking at several teams of hundreds...

    Is there a generic way to use the number called for the resolution of the mailbox?

    With unity 4.0 (3) or later version, you can add a routing rule unique Direct call, to manage it. Having the trigger of the rule on all calls and set the action to attempt forward. The unit will then attempt to match the number of the called party to a Subscriber or to call the Manager of. If no match is found, the call will move to the next rule and be processed normally. Let me know if this isn't what you're looking for.

    Unity 4,0000 sr1 CCM 4.0.2 (sr1a)

    I'm a little unclear on the configuration of multiple servers of the unit for different sites to connect to the cluster of CCM even & I'm after a bit of advice.

    Is it just a case of setting up various ports of voicemail, profiles & lists of hunting for servers in separate unit & then arise relevant phones in the correct profile of VM (a bit of as a failover configuration)?

    Tips, advice or traps would be greatly received.

    So, sorry. I misunderstood.

    The CCM, you create a set of ports vm for each server in the unit. For this set of ports on ccm vm, you must create the list of hunting; include ports which will answer calls (exclude the ports used by the unit to dialout only (MWI, trap, AMS Notification)

    Create a second set of ports on the virtual machine with a different name. Repeat the above steps for the integration of the second unit.

    For all the integrations of the unit, you can use the same power MWI.

    Once the WAN link goes down, the unit will soon determine CallManager is unavailable and he's going to cancel all its ports with CallManager. The unit remains running, however you will have no way of contacting the system using a phone. As soon as the WAN link back to the top, the unit will determine CallManager became available and will record all its ports. At this point, you are back where you started, everything should work normally.

  • Phone number mask external unit Voice Mail Port

    I have 10 outbound ports vm reserved for message notification. In CallManager for all 10 voice port configurations, I have the mask of external number set to a specific number (without jokers). When the unit carries out the call-out the callerid shows like the phone number of billing for the outgoing PRI. This tells me that the CO does not see the callerid correctly based on their tables, so he replaces it with the billing number. I checked the number I am using in the mask is in their paintings, and the PRI sends correct callerid on all other calls. Only the voice mail ports callerid is incorrect. Did I miss something somewhere that should be set? The real DN on ports of voicemail is a private internal number that is also specified on the vm in UTIM ports.

    Recently I've been looking for a more tidy installation my Mac Book Pro 15 "(rétine fin 2013)." I have the henge horizontal dock now, but my laptop constantly get hot (fan will nut) and when I run the mac and 2 external performance of the screens are terrible compared to the execution of installation even without the docking station. I don't know why.

    In any case, I was looking around and I see there is such a thing as a monitor that you can run with your MAC that acts as a host/HUB for the Mac Dock. And all via a single cable wired to the mac? Display port to a port of Type C 3.1 at the back of the monitor. So far I have found that a LG and acer have all two monitors type c. I chose is called Acer H277HU. Now here's the weird part. I can't find this exact model, which comes with a connection of type-c at the back, to the United Kingdom? In fact I can't find any available for sale in the United Kingdom the monitors who says anything about a port of type c in their specifications. This particular mode has a UK version but it does not have a port of type-c at the back of the monitor in the images or mentions a connection of type c in the specifications?

    Here, I'm a bit confused. These are simply not an option in the United Kingdom or something? I hope someone can help us with that.

  • BEFSR41 ver 2 (three on the beautiful work of Ports)

    A worm BEFSR41 2.

    Background: had the router for years.  Served 3 pcs (2 OS from windows and 1 mac OS), and a PS2, faithfully for 5-7 years.  A true friend of the family. No problems until recently. Remained current on all updates, have no problems.

    Recent issue: one of the windows PC (master unit ensuring the router connect to the page) recently acquired disgust/disabilities, sending attachments in outgoing emails.  It wasn't a problem for many years.  Only recently.  This same pc had increasing problems of loading web pages.  Note the other PC, mac and ps2 had NO problems during this period.

    I double checked the firmware and it crosses a dozen times or more with Windows updates monthly Malware Removal and RemoveIT PRO and AVG, Avira and SpybotS & D and BlackIce Hijack this, Vundo Rootkits, AirDusters and the works. Check that any security downloads with an MD5 checksum utility. Infrared analytical lighting memory running in a steralized room.  Got my lawyer and my tax accountant involved in case there was something had to be done to this end. A homeland security on alert 5000mAh.

    Everything was up to date. Has begun to suspect that it was an old windows update, which was causing the problem. Tinkered a little.

    After several months of trying to solve the problem, decided to install the window on this pc the scrap and start over.  At that animate the pc turned off and in a sterile room for cleaning, removed the BONES and the defragmentated.  Hit in the back and made the installation.  Put just the major updates on the operating system to make the XP up to SP2.  Put online and fear once again, the thing was still slow and haunted by slow down navigation while the other PC on the router where you have NO problem (but it made me wonder why the other computers and ps2 did not have a problem).

    Then had the idea to change the port of the router. Swapped the port from a pc having problems and gave to this port to a pc not having NOT the question.  Was given the pc having issues, the port of a pc, that was NOT the question before.  And violo.  The pc with the problem is now resolved, while the pc having is not the question before, is now seen the question.

    My question is (and I guess it is answered already but I like confirmation):

    When a router goes wrong, he's going poorly a port at a time, or all at the same time?  2nd question: is it possible that a bug in the matrix has set itself at this port and set up a trap to trap all things out of this port, and will get an invitation soon to follow rabbits or tattoo-girls or rather hot babes looking with a cropped bangs and too much red lipstick?

    Alternative 3 question: If a matrix like bug has himself affixed to this port and set up a trap to capture all things out of this port, can I set up a trap hand to trap the trap, or otherwise get rid of it?

    It is follow-up:

    We ended up having to replace the router.  We used the other ports for three or four weeks, then a second port went bad and a third party. We have replaced sometime in December of the same year, went to version 4.3 of the same number of model above.  Works fine again.  All ports.

    Anyone, know why, the prior model (ver 2) went bad as he did?  I noticed with the new unit, the MAC address is outside of the box, with the bar coding. I think that, for security reasons, this information should be on the unit itself and not on the outside of the box, at the time of departure.

    This mail is a customer very disappointed and angry of lenovo who owned several "ThinkPad" produced by the past both at work and at home.

After of many calls/emails to Lenovo customer, the machine finally arrived on December 22, two weeks after the original delivery date (Oakland, CA, USA) not to mention that I had to cancel my flight/lodging the 17 in Germany which I had arranged before hand a tolerance of 9 days of delivery time would be appropriate. It turns out it was a bad management and cost me US $350 to reschedule my flight itinerary;

    On 31 December, I was on a flight to Germany for training of technique of 8 months. The third day after my arrival in Germany, the laptop screen is suddenly cleared and restart/connect to an external monitor both ended up a failure.

    So the next day (4 January), I called Lenovo in Germany Customer Service line and explained my situation and literally supplies to speed up the process (I had badly need for modeling 3D CAD to work); Guess what, the representative was told that he did not know if my warranty can be carried over to Germany since the original purchase was made in the United States. Including, I told her that I bought an additional 3 years international warranty and they should be able to verify with a small "click" with the mouse. on the contrary, it took them 5 days to get back to me telling me that the guarantee has been verified and MOST UNACCEPTABLE, they asked me to send the computer laptop for the filing of repair on my sense of the part I find time at the post office and have to pay for shipping... it is not how the company was performed in ancient times with IBM. In the old days, I would get an empty box delivered to my door the next day and everything I need to do is put my laptop in and picked up by the local courier. IT IS RIDICULOUS; This isn't how Lenovo should treat its customers; as a loyal customer of IBM/Lenovo for years, this isn't how you pay me back with...

    • have the laptop fixed as soon as possible;

    We Jabber for Windows 11.5.2 running and using the connection of the Unit 10.5.2. Whenever a user uses a password with the German special characters (a, o, u), Jabber is not able to connect to the connection of the unit. Everything else works fine. We also have this problem in 10.6 versions. In the voicemail tab it is said that the name of user or password is wrong. We can reproduce the problem...

    BTW. also it does not work in the current jabber for iOS version!

    I simply make the point that use German special characters causes a lot of problems, in many places, whole CUCM and IM & P and you avoid them.
