  I have a simple (I hope) home office network configuration.  I have a router Linksys BEFSR41 Ver 3, a Vonage phone device, a couple of computers and printers all hooked into the router.  The problem appeared when my old modem is dead.  I replaced the old modem with the Motorola 2210 (from AT & T) and configure the modem, so now the internet works if I plug the line directly into my computer.  When I try to run it through the Linksys router, the signal comes through.  I've turned off and rebooted twice and the second time I did it in a particular order, but still no signal through the router.

  I see that the IP address of the router is 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.254 is the modem.  It seems that something needs to be reset somewhere, but since I'm no computer, I don't know what to reset where...  I read the other posts and they speak to reset a PPPoE on the BEF, but where do you do that?  And is there something different about my router 3 worm?    Any help is appreciated... I'm pretty frustrated and miss me phone calls from my device Vonage is not connected...

  You the problem is that you try to use the same subnet 192.168.1.x into the WAN (Internet) port and the LAN of your BEFSR41 ports.  You can't do that.

  Your modem is apparently made your PPPoE connection for you.  So you should NOT repeat this PPPoE connection in the BEFSR41.

  Setting network, follow these steps:

  (1) put your entire network.

  (2) disconnect all other devices BEFSR41.

  (3) connect your computer to one of the four ports LAN on the BEFSR41.

  (4) turn on the BEFSR41 and your computer.

  (5) point your browser to 192.168.1.1 and connect to your BEFSR41.

  (6) change the "Internet Connection Type" to «DHCP - auto»

  (7) change "local IP address" 192.168.2.1

  8) click the 'Save Settings' button, and then wait the screen refresh (3-60 seconds).  You will be disconnected from the BEFSR41.  Don't worry about this.

  (9) turn off the BEFSR41 and your computer.

  (10) wire the ethernet port of your modem to the Internet (WAN) on the BEFSR41 port.  Leave your computer connected to the BEFSR41.

  (11) power of your network.  It should work.

  BEFSR41 using you now on its LAN ports 192.168.2.x subnet.  You can now connect to the BEFSR41 facility to 192.168.2.1

  So I suspect there are at least one or more partitions hidden leaving 11.1 GB for hidden partitions!

  WHY don't pictures suddenly not appear or display in my personal messages gmail using Firefox 12.0 AND 13.0 but I can see the beautiful in IE9? This isn't a problem with the images being seen on Web sites or in emails from various sites like Amazon, Bloomies, etc.. It is a problem with the images, copied and pasted while composing mail in GMAIL and the other Windows Live email accounts, etc. It started suddenly yesterday when I still had version 12.0 Firefox. (there may be a few days, but I hadn't been reading emails too for a few days due to time constraints). This morning I tried to find some fix for this by searhcing constantly through the web and through the forums of Firefox here. I checked my version of Firefox and also check for updates after about 2 hours of research from the forums without success and I was about to just get rid of Firefox 12 because some people were just that frustration with finding no solution, when suddenly, I got a message from Firefox 'urge' Update update me Firefox 13. It was AFTER I had just checked an hour earlier to see if there's an update! I did this update to version 13.0, BUT again, I do not receive emails containing images with these images posted (messages sent from my other e-mail account for myself and also e-mails to a friend - the two images containing). However, I can send and receive your same emails through IE9 in my gmail account and see all of the images of the FINE through IE9. What gives? I am so tired of what's going on. It happened before about a year or two ago, but I do not remember how it was corrected for ever. According to me, it has been resolved by a Firefox patch, and no action on our part. And these 4 + hours of work on that is just crazy. WHO has that kind of time to devote to fix these defects that occur every time updates of Firefox? I can not even find any mention of the same show. Now I'm seriously behind. You talk about time constraints! Anyone else having this problem? Someone at - he found a cure yet?

  Is he missing pictures then make sure you are not block images from certain domains.

  • Check the permissions for the domain in the active tab in "tools > Page Info > Permissions.
  • Check that the images are enabled: Tools > Options > content: [X] loading images automatically
  • Check exceptions in "tools > Options > content: Load Images > Exceptions.
  • See the tab "tools > Page Info > media ' for blocked images (scroll all the images with the cursor key).

  If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.

  Make sure that you do not block the images of third parties, the pref permissions.default.images must be 1.

• Satellite A200-1ax: could not get the BT working on Win XP

  I have a Toshiba laptop satellite a200-1ax. I installed Windows XP sp2.
  My problem is that I can't get the bluetooth work. I have installed a Toshiba bluetooth driver and nothing. When I try to install the bluetooth stack Toshiba the instalation stops at the driver part and won't. I tried, and left for more than 2 hours and it was not moving.

  When I opened my device manager there is no place where a bluetooth connection is mentioned. In the bluetooth of the 5 information system services where collapsed and to manual start. I tried to start manually services.msc, but there was no available bluetooth service.

  You have to add that I have 3 elements in with question marks Device Manager:
  1. mass storage controller
  2. feature modem on high definition audio bus
  3 PCI memory controller.

  If anyone can help with the problem of bluetooth, or three missing drivers, please do :)

  The Bluetooth should work!
  The laptop supports the BT module, and I think that you have not properly installed.

  Firstly don mix t the monitor BT with BT stack. You need the BT stack!
  I think that you should remove the software BT OS and after that new reboot should try to reinstall again.

  Then you must enable BT using the Fn + F8 key to complete the configuration of BT!

  Other devices such as PCI memory controller and mass storage controller. Are not supported by Windows XP and therefore there is no drivers!

  I have a few Animations of edge and they work perfectly when I load them locally in the browser. But I got their load in my site, who have SVG files in them appear not. The PNGs appear but not the SVG. What happens in all browsers. The interactive generated using ONLY PNG files work perfectly know the javascript code for the edge works because the animation is displayed but the 'empty' image shows instead of my beautiful SVG. I load in my HTML page using an iFrame. The iFrame would be the question although it works very well with Animations of edge made by using only the png?

  Already, it looks like you're heading in the right direction.  Not all Web servers are configured to the SVG server correctly, so one of the first things you should check to make sure that your server is responding correctly SVG.  You can check by looking at Inspector Chrome or Firebug to ensure that it is served as img/svg, not text or any other format.

• The fan works like a crazy and super fast drain battery after installation of Sierra

  I installed Sierra on my MacBook Pro, the fan works like crazy and the battery is empty after about 1.5 hours. Which never happened before. I'm only using Safari and Mail in the moment.   I had this problem just after I installed Sierra on my MacBook Air.  First I tried to reset the SMC and the LANDAU.  This does not prevent fans constantly in the course of execution.  I then used the activity monitor to see what was possibly strain my system.  I noticed the "DCs" process was always sucking up to more than 90% of my CPU usage.  However, others said that it is normal after an upgrade of the OS and it should fall back down once the computer finishes its initial picture and analysis of the files.  So I run my MBA plugged nonstop for 36 hours in a row and the fans just kept running so that the process of "DCs" continued to drain at > 90% of CPU usage.  I also looked carefully at the activity monitor and saw that tasks such as analysis of photos had their own separate process "DCs".  So I dug further into what the devil "DCs" was really do with a lot of CPU resources.  Long story short, I found that there is some glitch in Sierra which causes the macOS stuck on a process involving the keychain and iCloud.

  That's what I did to fix this keychain/iCloud which led to "DCs" fans of triggering and overloading the CPU to be always on:

  -In the activity monitor, I used Force Quit to kill the process that involved the keychain

  -In the activity monitor, I then Force Quit the process that involved icloud

  -In activity monitor, I finally Force closed the process "DCs". (I found that I could not simply force quit 'DCs' without first allowing the keychain & iCloud first)

  -After all, I restarted the computer and fans were finally off the coast!  I open the activity monitor and saw that 'DCs' has is no longer hogging up the CPU usage.  Photoanalysis process were still running in the background at 40-50% CPU use with no trigger unwanted system fans.  the iCloud synchronization and my keychain also worked very well.

  I'm finally able to use Sierra without my fans blazing out of control.  It took me a while to get this sorted out.  Hope this helps to save you a few headaches and time until Apple can get counts that there is this Sierra software glitch they need to address.

• How can I make the individual work for each song on a compilation album of show when I browse my playlists?

  I get a lot of my music from Soundcloud where individual songs are released by artists often with none of the albums.

  So, when you add these songs on iTunes I the name of the album for each of them SoundCloud despite the fact that each of them have different names track/artists/works of art.  When I select the option to indicate that the song is part of a compilation album, even if the individual work remains in each song and shows when I play the song, looking at my playlists, songs from my compilation album of SoundCloud will only show album art compilation rather than the individual works for each song.  How can I my iTunes will show that each individual work?

  You can't while retaining spacing as part of this same album. If you want each art individual to show then tracks them to a unique combination of the album title and album artist. If the tracks are underway on an older iPod then the tracks on the album must be unique.

  Thanks for posting your question, and I'm sorry to learn that your scroll has stopped working. Please check your control panel to see if the mouse works properly * while Firefox is open.

  Also, please try to disable graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

  You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

  Then perform the following steps:

  • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
  • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
  • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.

• When you try to click on the menus on the USAA, it shows "javascript:;" in the left hand lower corner and the menu do not work in 21 FF. But the menus work in IE 10.

  When I go to USAA.com on firefox, I can't click on the drop down menus. Instead, a box in the lower left corner (where a link address usually show) opens with "javascript:;" If I use IE10, the site works perfectly. I prefer Firefox, so it drives me a little nuts that I have to go for a single site browsers. I have deleted all my cookies, cleared the cache, reset Firefox and start Firefox in safe mode. The Web site still refuses to play nice. All regular links on the site, but in the drop down menus will not.
