  I would recommend not all graphics cards for this camera because it s is usually not possible to replace or update the chip graphic card on laptops.

  Upgrading the CPU would be possible.
  The CPU of the new generation of motherboards for laptop is not welded and it might be possible to remove it.
  BUT the updates are not recommended because
  -first of all, you will lose the warranty and
  -Second, the laptop could run unstable due to the higher temperature.

  However, I found a few compatible Intel Celeron - M CPU, which are supported by the motherboard:

  I will apologize for my lack of knowledge, but what are the procedures to follow regarding changing the settings (i.e.BIOS) before unplugging my computer to install the new units; or on startup AFTER installation of the new equipment? I have a long history of building electronic for example, amps, Preamps etc... but another that understand the end mechanical (installation of equipment), I beg near complete ignorance about the computer upgrade. For general information, I install a ZOTAC GeForce GTS250 graphics card and an Antec Earthwatts 650 power supply (the apparent overkill is in a hurry to other possible mods). I will also add extra cooling for all electronic components, it is the killer #1.

  I think you can install the drive and use your recovery disk to reinstall Windows.

  You can change the hard drive of your computer with a WD one Pavilion, just keep in mind that you need a 2.5 inch drive.   Hey guys.  Does anyone know what motherboard the HP Pavilion dv6 - 2140's?  I can't find the manual anywhere.

  My bios is damaged and would ' t fix after a reflash or changing the CMOS battery.  Time for a motherboard replacement.
