The use of Dll in RT PXI

Hi Fellows LabVIEW...

I made a simple Dll (subtraction of two numbers) MS Visual Studios 2008 and I am the appellant in LabVIEW under target host computer. the Dll works fine.

Subsequently, I pasted the same Dll in the drive C of 8106 RT controller PXI (OS Pharlap) under nor-rt\Systems folder and did a similar under the lens of Rt and deployed VI but VI is not working properly. (Only the values go out is not calculated)...

What I have to do the DLL in another way for RT targets or I need to install additional toolboxes?

Rohit

DLL as far as I know are made for windows and if I'm not mistaken can be used in the PharlapOS

  • The streaming of data in c (PXI-5421)

    Hello

    I do the data streaming in C by PXI-5421 follow this instruction: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370524R-01/siggenhelp/streaming/

    Here's my psudo code:

    1 set the amount of memory shipped to use for streaming

    waveformSize = 1048576;

    short * CurData [16];

    checkErr (niFgen_init (resource, VI_TRUE, VI_TRUE, & vi))

    checkErr (niFgen_ConfigureChannels (vi, ChannelName)); ChannelName = '0'

    checkErr (niFgen_ConfigureOutputMode (vi, NIFGEN_VAL_OUTPUT_ARB));  //Arbitrary mode is used

    checkErr (niFgen_ConfigureSampleRate (vi, SampleRate));   Rate of sampling = 40e6;

    checkErr (niFgen_AllocateWaveform (vi, ChannelName, waveformSize, & wfmHandle));  Allocate memory for broadcast borad

    2. identify the waveform streaming

    checkErr (niFgen_SetAttributeViInt32 (ChannelName, NIFGEN_ATTR_STREAMING_WAVEFORM_HANDLE, vi, wfmHandle));

    checkErr (niFgen_SetAttributeViReal64 (vi, VI_NULL, NIFGEN_ATTR_STREAMING_WRITE_TIMEOUT, 10.0));  Set TimeOut = 10 s

    3. fill the waveform continuous initial data

    for (j = 0; j<>
    fread (CurData [j], sizeof (short), waveformSize/16, PlayedFile);  Read data from my saved file
    checkErr (niFgen_WriteBinary16Waveform (vi, ChannelName, wfmHandle, waveformSize/16, CurData [j]));
    }

    4 start generating the waveform

    checkErr (niFgen_ConfigureOutputEnabled (vi, ChannelName, VI_TRUE));
    checkErr (niFgen_InitiateGeneration (vi));

    5 write a waveform data block. (Optional) Monitor available memory that generates the waveform

    {}
    niFgen_GetAttributeViInt32 (vi, '0', NIFGEN_ATTR_STREAMING_SPACE_AVAILABLE_IN_WAVEFORM, & FreeSpace).

    {if(FreeSpace>=waveformSize/16)}
    fread (renewData, sizeof (short), waveformSize/16, PlayedFile);

    checkErr (niFgen_WriteBinary16Waveform (vi, '0', wfmHandle, waveformSize/4, PlayData));
    //}
    } while (1);

    I properly generate first 1048576 points of data. However, I'm stuck in writing new data in my space of memory onboard.

    The error message space in continuous waveform has not become available within the specific period, and appears after 10 sec which is my time-out period.

    If I check my available space via the property NIFGEN_ATTR_STREAMING_SPACE_AVAILABLE_IN_WAVEFORM, it never increases.  Did I miss something? Can I work in arbitrary mode for data streaming?

    Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you!

    Looking at the example LabVIEW/CVI, it seems that you are on the right track.

    If you remove the Do / While loop, do you still 1114112 samples? In other words, samples of 1048576 (1048576/16)?

    What is the value returned by ' niFgen_GetAttributeViInt32 (vi, '0', NIFGEN_ATTR_STREAMING_SPACE_AVAILABLE_IN_WAVEFORM, & FreeSpace)? "

    I have attached the CVI example in this post. It has many additional functions that change the GUI of the CVI, but ANY function calls should be the same. Is the only thing that is considerably different that they set a number of rehearsals and use unique relaxation mode. I would go ahead and change your code to be similar in order to ensure that it is no hardware problems. Then I would try to generate and disseminate a sinusoid first before trying to use your file. I hope that we can refine all the problems.

  • Problem with the help of DLL functions

    Hello.

    I'm writing a DLL that calls the functions of a DLL camera and them ends and passes of LabView. I wrote some code of practice and the dll of passage of functions and events with Labview and LabWindows/CVI DLLs, so I like to think I have a reasonable understanding on what I'm trying to do. However I keep getting errors in calling the functions of DLL functions camera I want to use in my DLL.

    I have two functions in the camera DLL, XC_AddImageFilter, and XC_RemImageFilter, I would like to wrap and put at disposal in my DLL. When I compile I get the following errors:

    2 link project errors, Undefined symbol '_XC_AddImageFilter' referenced in "ImageFilter.c". Undefined symbol '_XC_RemImageFilter' referenced in "ImageFilter.c".

    I tried to tweak the prototypes in my header file and the change in functions but nothing I try seems to work. I connected the camera DLL in my project in a way that was previously successful with another practice DLLs and I browsed this forum for similar problems, but I can't seem to find a soloution.

    Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope that you will be able to help me with my problem.

    PS I had problems to join my code so I put an extension .txt at the end and apparently has worked so please forgive the suspicious file extensions.

    Sorry!

    I do not understand the Labview.lib file which is why Labview functions weren't working! Duh!

  • What is the position of Microsoft on the use of "RunDll ClearMyTracksByProcess"

    For many years users use RunDLL to DLL system from a command line or a batch file.  This has been useful for the automation of many tasks in versions of WIndows to WIndows NT at least.

    There has always been some controversy on the use of this to make things as clear the cache of the browser.

    Since there are now likely to be more than 1 million systems by using the following command, I want to know what Microsoft has to say about its use.

    RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl, ClearMyTracksByProcess 8

    Should we continue to use it, or its use should be discontinued?

    It is worth noting that there is no specific documentation, although CPL/DLL entry points are documented in the Win32 API, and in other places.  I even had Microsoft Engineers perform many calls RunDLL by compensation or train to solve a problem.

  • How to use COM DLL in LabWindows

    Hello

    I have a COM .dll file that looks like this when opened with dll export viewer:

    I would like to use the Get4AxisPos function in LabWindows.

    I realized that, as I only have the .dll file, the only way to call these functions are the LoadLibrary() and GetProcAddress() functions.

    My problem is that the function Get4AxisPos is not of type exported function but COM method, so I don't know how to use it in my project LabWindows!

    My questions are: is - this will use this dll in Labwindows? If yes how?

    Thank you

    It also suggests that you can not run a software antivirus... If this is something you need to heal very quickly.  However, installing an antivirus application - if your PC is already infected - is usually ineffective.

    I suggest you do the following-
    (1) download and run a full scan using the Scanner for Ms.  Available here: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
    It does not install, is therefore more difficult for malware to block.
    (2) if that was clean, then get an anti-virus in real-time as soon as POSSIBLE.  There are many good choices (Norton, McAfee, etc.) which costs money, and several good without applications, including MS Security Essentials available here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials
    Note!  If you have another antivirus installed, do not add MSE.  Run two at once is precarious - they will conflict with each other.
    Also, make sure that your windows firewall is turned on, or you have another 3rd party firewall installed.

    I use WIndows XP.  After that THINKPOINT is presented on my system, I have not been able to access my task manager or restore my system to an earlier date.

    I have checked Kellys Korner and various other suggestions on the internet, but have had no luck with anything.

    It shows that the HKEY value for the Task Manager is set to 0.  Don't know if that helps.

    I BELIEVE I have the THINK POINT removed from my system.  I use Microsoft Security, Ad-Ware and Malwarebytes Anti - Malware.  Between the 3, it seems I have everything.

    Think like a malicious software...
    It infects your system and is not to be found and removed.
    What are you most likely to use to find and remove malware?
    Internet, Google, Task Manager, regedit, restore the system command prompt, etc...
    The malware is often afflicts one or more of these components to try to trick into thinking you need to perform a system restore, a repair facility, or even to reinstall your XP from scratch.  None of these things are necessary since you can usually just to thwart malware.
    If the referenced files are completely absent from your system, you will see messages like this when you try to run the applications:
    Taskmgr.exe - Unable to locate component
    This application has failed to start because VDMDBG.dll is not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
    Rstrui.exe - Unable to locate component
    This application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
    Sometimes you can click through the OK messages to access the System Restore screen, but the restoration of the system is still broken.
    If the referenced files are present on the system, but somehow corrupted, you will see messages like this when you try to run the applications:
    Taskmgr.exe - bad Image
    The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\VDMDBG.dll is not a valid Windows image.  Please check this against your installation diskette.
    Rstrui.exe - bad Image
    The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\framedyn.dll is not a valid Windows image.  Please check this against your installation diskette.
    Sometimes you can click through the OK messages to access the System Restore screen, but the restoration of the system is still broken.
    These files are part of the file 3498 who cares about Windows File Protection, so unless the WFP is also broken it is likely that files are missing completely (you get a different error message).  What is more likely is that the files are somehow corrupt or have been replaced by incorrect files.
    Assuming that XP is installed on your C drive and in the windows folder, XP keeps copies of 3498 files that he cares about this issue:
    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache
    On a health care system, Windows File Protection keeps track of 3498 protected files and quickly and quietly replaces all the files in the list that appears missing from the backup folder.  File protection Windows will not replace the files if they are somehow corrupted or replaced by bad files.
    You can simply copy the backup files in the dllcache folder in the folder where are the suspects or missing files.
    Using Explorer, navigate to the folder c:\windows\system32\dllcache and individually to copy the backup files in there and then navigate the folders where the suspect or incorrect files are and paste in the copied files.
    Depending on your installation, you can also find copies of the files in this folder:
    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386
    Answer Yes, if you are prompted to replace existing files.
    Test your functions now and then to reboot your system to make sure the changes 'stick', and then fix any problems.

    Do, or do not. There is no test.

    I went to the system registry to find the file it refers and is not a he.  I ran a norton registry cleanup and a virus scan.  I did find something online that made reference to this dll file.  The message appears at any time that I start a new program.  How to fix this, or find the virus that is the cause.

    A Google search for "[insert the name of the file]" grown up nothing. When you get no hits for a filename on Google, chances are high that it is a malicious program file. You did not when you get the message. If it's only at startup, either you have uninstalled the malware program or your antivirus/antispyware program did. In all cases, a reference has been left in the boot file. You can remove the reference by managing your startup. If you get the message during regular time on the computer and not not only at startup, your computer is still infected.

    Norton will do the job of cleaning and registry cleaners are garbage who at best will not do anything and the worst risk damage to your Windows installation.

    First of all, make sure that the computer is really free of virus/malware through these systematically - General malware removal steps http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware . Then, if the computer is really clean and you still receive the message, manage your Startup to remove the reference to the malware:

    Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

    This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

    Hey Todd-Cindy-MorganBurris,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. When was the last time it was working fine?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?
    4. You are able to boot into Windows after the error message?

    Method 1

    If you are unable to boot into Windows then check if the problem persists in safe mode.

    A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Method 2

    If the problem does not persist in safe mode, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

    I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

    To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

    How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

    Reset the computer to start as usual

    When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Method 3

    If you can boot into safe mode and clean boot procedure don't help then I would suggest that scan you SFC on the computer that will search the corrupted system files and check if that helps.

    The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows XP installation CD.
