  Hello

  I am new to dreamweaver. I know a little Photoshop and wanted to create a simple website using photoshop and dreamweaver. I created a page layout and decided on different parts and when registering in the web, it creates a set of image files and an html file.

  Now, when I placed this html file in dreamweaver, all wrong just like I created in photoshop, but when I tried to place a SWF on an image that has been decided on the Photoshop, the other images (slices on photshop) get scrambled in dreamweaver. I tried everything but I can't understand how place an object even while placing text on an image, the whole layout file gets blurred.

  Any help please. I want to place a swf file and also write a 'radio player' section above the SWF on an image in dreamweaver.

  Photoshop design slicing will give output you 'image' - it's a very bad habit. You should only cut design elements & use CSS in a Web page.

  That is right. Dreamweaver CS6 supports only the PHP 5.3 syntax.

  CC of Dreamweaver supports syntax 5.4 (including shorthand).

  I currently have three computers connected to a wifi modem with two computers running vista and a Mac SL running. I was wondering if it was possible to limit the daily use of computer data? I have experimented with the settings of the router/modem, but there is no built-in feature.

  I have no idea on the SL Mac (you will need to post this question in a Mac forum or contact support Mac), but as far as Vista goes, certain limits can be defined in part by using parental controls and in part by using permissions (but it depends on exactly what you want to say that I am addressing the following).  No process will actually limit the use of network data (although they can help you to set other boundaries that can help).

  In Vista, here is the procedure for setting up restrictions. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Set-up-Parental-Controls. Once you have access to parental controls, and then go to the section of deadlines and follow the instructions there (or for the other sections).  Technically, it's not a way to limit the use of data in itself - if by here you mean the amount of data accessed for a specified period (but you can limit the data that is used, what programs are available, what websites are allowed, when the computer can be used and several other things.  To limit the available data, you use permissions rather than Parental control, but well enough that is already treated as system implements security rights to prevent users other data and you can do this for any folder that you create outside profiles (while the file system are almost already protected - even on your part).  If you mean data over the Internet, then there is no way I know in Vista or IE which limit explicitly by the user.  Keep in mind that this will only work with standard user accounts as account administrator can simply replace the limitations or remove them all.  I know that's not what you asked really, but I thought that I should bring him as he is very much related.

  Hello! So I worked on Dreamweaver to design a Web site for the school. I need to transfer it to one of the mobile school (which has no Dreamweaver on it) so that I can present it to the class. Now, my question is how can I do this? I need to have the file on a USB (or Google Drive) is possible to transfer the Dreamweaver project on the laptop if it doesn't have Dreamweaver? Or is there some kind of workaround for it? If it helps, I use a desktop computer Windows at the school and my school Macbooks.

  If your site does not use scripts on the server side, all you need to do is copy the folder that contains the files of the site on another storage such as a USB key.

  This is no different than files that are created by using other applications such as Word or Excel.

  Thanks Nancy, I managed to do the work.  When in DW, I had no defined site and tried to insert the oam in

  a new html.  As soon as I set up a site and created a new html then oam all the inserts work very well.

• How to move the outside host Dreamweaver site to Business Catalyst

  I have my Dreamweaver site hosted with Hurricane Electric now and you want to move to Business Catalyst.  I tried to do it by opening my site in Dreamweaver and clicking on the choice of the Site/New Business catalyst Site menu but the dialog box only appears for a second and then disappears.  So next time, I tried going to my catalyst for business portal and the creation of a new site by importing my site existing since its URL, bitsong.com.  This imported most of the site but did not import the SWF files and the Unity3d player does not work.

  My question is, how do I get connected to this temporary site Dreamweaver: http://bitsong.businesscatalyst.com/ and get the rest of my downloaded files and work on this temporary site?  I can do this with FTP or I have to use a new Protocol, SFTP.  Thank you.

  P.S. I know that to push the live site, I have to change the server names of Hurricane Electric to Business Catalyst, but I would prefer not to push the live site until I have everything working on the temporary site.

  Thanks, I managed to get my site downloaded from Dreamweaver using the Site/New Business Catalyst Site menu in Dreamweaver CM³.  Then, once the site has been created, I deleted everything that was already there and downloaded from my own site.  It worked.  I had to download Dreamweaver CC for this.  For some reason, the menu new Business Catalyst has not worked in CS6.

  Dreamweaver uses FTP to transfer files. Create a new FTP account for these users. It will be different from the account used to access the host control panel. That's all.

  Hello Ciro,

  I'm not sure I understand all the problems you are having, but I'll try to answer... ask once again if you have other questions.

  If you want to offer codehints for your own framework, the best thing is to simply use the tool "codehints situ. You can create a "preset" with your frame, which can then be exported and imported by other users. For the most part, the usecases, I think this should probably be all you need to do.

  Now, there are cases where the default engine may not recognize all the indications you want to offer (for example you have global variables defined using the extract() function); It is always possible to add these tips, but it's a little more complicated, ask again if you need help (as a starting - point you can watch the "Drupal" pressed for codehints, it refers to a file in your home directory "user configuration"). BTW, the "builtin" CMS codehinting presets defined in [Config file] / Shared/Dinamico/Presets - seek how Drupal is described and you can easily make a similar description for your own framework (and install it as an extension and other support if necessary files).

  Now - if you want to add tooltips to description for your advice (such as those for the php builtin tips) - it is possible, but, unfortunately, not as easy as it could be (*). However, if you want to add those, it's quite possible: just look at how the builtin flags are set (basically, you must prefix your member function/class/class / variable/etc.)  with a comment that says something like "/ * @file_name.xml #description_tag * /;" the "file_name.xml" is located in the Descriptions/CodeHints folder, if I am wrong - look here for how ToolTips are described; It is essentially a list of key / value with the 'key' is the 'description_tag' and the value is the HTML (exhaust) content of your ToolTip).  Unfortunately I don't have access to an installation of Dreamweaver now so I can't tell you for sure, but if you can't manage ask again and I'll give you more details tomorrow.

  Finally, on the 'today' function: as I understand it, your frame redefines a PHP builtin function - and you want the codehint to change, too? I can't say with certainty that it will work without trying... but if you add in the codehints 'in situ' a file that contains your definition of "today", it can replace the builtin. If it does not (and in fact, I fear that it does not work) - then your only options are (A) disable the builtin "mysql" makes allusion to one of the options, or (B) manually (or via an extension) rewrite the file that says tips for 'today', so that you remove this function.

  (*) PS: This feature (the description ToolTips) is actually intended to be used in-house - by Dreamweaver so I doubt that it will be recorded. Initially, we wanted to show the comments the user as "description tooltips" PHPdoc... but it is surprising how the complications (problems of formatting HTML vs non-HTML, javascript in comments comments, etc.)- so eventually we ran out of time and decided to keep 'internal use of DW. Who knows, maybe it will work more "user-friendly" in future versions of DW
