the user agent for firefox/linux causes false errors
I won't make any additional debugging, but I thought I would mention a problem that could lead to a part of the traffic of this web application. When I load kuler.adobe.com in my browser, I get "kuler requires the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player." even if I have the latest version, I could find (9.0.124.0). When I change my user to more agent string spread (IE7 w / Vista), I get: "quick installation is not supported by this version...". ». But if I just ignore all the useless string verification and management mistakes of shit I can fully use the application simply directly pointing to the final destination of Swiss francs, which is today: http://kuler.adobe.com/kuler_20080318.swfThis should really be corrected. The first user agent string (and correct) is: Mozilla/5.0 (X 11; U; Linux i686; en-US; RV:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080325 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.13, then I tried: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; (Windows NT 5.1).
Hi stevecrozz1,
Is it possible, that you have two versions of the Flash Player installed? Sailing at about: plugins could tell you whether or not do you. I use Ubuntu Linux with Flash Player 9.0.124.0 and everything works well for me (on Firefox). You can also see if you have several installations of Flash player by doing: 'locate libflashplayer.so' in a terminal window.

Upgrade to the latest version of Firefox, but the user agent remained at 3.6.
Mint Isadora 64-bit. Finally, I upgraded to the latest stable version 3.6 in the Launchpad repo. I can't install any addons now because addons.mozilla.com said I use 3.6. Troubleshooting information, it seems that my user agent still said 3.6. Subject: firefox said I use 6.0.1. How can I fix the user agent?

I get a pop up box with the message: Application JavaScript error: "setTimeout" called on an object that does not implement the interface Window for Firefox.
But it seems to appear when I go to Amazon.com. Then he opens with this message and the OK option? But as fast as I can click OK, another box appears. After all a half dozen, she disappears - until what I move to another part of Amazon! I uninstalled - reinstalled and then - Firefox and BA. I do not understand this!
(And of course, there is always the possibility that it is not only attacking me on Amazon... There may be a lot of other sites that also trigger, and I just haven't been there yet.)
Hello
Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button
click Help
then select restart with disabled modules.
- In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
- On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.
- In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

I currently have Firefox 9.0. Why the start page for firefox keep telling me that I don't have the latest version?
You may need the old start page. Go to Firefox > Options and in the pane general, under Startup, click on restore by default. The page you have probably (http://google.com/firefox) only served to 3.6 (and tells you you are outdated), but some users seem to have gotten stuck on it after updating to Firefox 4 or upper version.

Change the user agent of the browser
Hi all
I am working on an app for Blackberry 6 and 7 using Webworks. I was wondering if it is possible to change the user agent of the browser.
What I would do is, add a string to the end. For example:
Default: ' Mozilla/5.0 (BB7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/537.36 Chrome/33.0.1750.149.
Mine: "Mozilla/5.0 (BB7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/537.36 CustomText, Chrome/33.0.1750.149.
Thanks in advance!
The config.xml file, you can declare rim: userAgent value

How to create a password for the user account for my child?
You can create the user with the parental control account. This will act as a protection for the child's account.

What is the user-agent of the MediaPlayer string?
Hi guys
How can I get the Media Player user-agent string?
I need it for when the application requests a video stream via a secure connection (I'll probably make another thread about...)
I thought it was the same as the browser, but it seems that it is another.
I walked into www.thismachine.info through the Explorer and webview of enforcement of a sample and they are the same... I just wanted to be sure.
Thanks in advance
Pepe
I made a script php simple, hosted, and here are the results:
This came from my browser:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; RV:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0These were generated by WindowsMP:
Windows-Media-Player/12.0.7601.17514
NSPlayer/12.00.7601.17514 WMFSDK/12.00.7601.17514BB10 Media Player:
IO-mediaSo just 'io-media '...
In case anyone wants the script, it's a lot of code to copy - paste:

How to change the default cache for firefox folder?
I created 4 GB RAM (4 GB of my RAM is now a hard Local drivem who has reading speeds get almost 400MBps) using software Salam ( http://memory.dataram.com/products-and-services/software/ramdisk ). I have installed firefox in this drive to increase its performance. But until I put my cache to this player, I can't do everything more quickly than before. I am a heavy user. I have the following add Add-ons installed that wreak havoc on the speed of firefox.
1 VideoDownloadHelper
2 Unmht
3. built-in Google Calendar
4 Dashlane password manager 3
5 progress
All enabled and latest updates, other that the other 4 disabled add ons.So I need to change the cache directory. I tried this solution https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/768867 .
I went to about: config, browser.cache.disk.enable is true and browser.cache.disk.parent_directory, I can not find. Please give me a solution to this. Thank you.
That preference must be created by the user.
See this for more information:
http://KB.mozillazine.org/user.js_file#Adding_user.js_entriesMore precisely, this:
Move to the parent directory of the directory browser cache
user_pref ("browser.cache.disk.parent_directory", "D:\\Mozilla\\Firefox\\");
