I tried 3 times, still getting the same answer. Mean I can not turn the defender of the window and firwall turn it back on. I tried the Microsoft safety scanner, showed 1 viruses, deleted, but no use. I tried Microsoft security essential, problem got worse! In addition, they * the shortcut on my desktop, some people work while others do not, takes me for a location or a different software. Help, please! Here is my laptop spec: Vista Ultimate, 32 bit. Hello
Have a pack of service higher than on the DVD is discussed in the links provided.
If you have a DVD of Vista without SP then you will need to uninstall SP1 to use that
disc and later re - install SP1. If you have installed SP1 SP2 disc, then you
you will need to uninstall SP2 to use the disc and later re - install SP2.Check with the support of Sony. You might be better off backing up the data of the

Hello
If McAfee is expired then you must uninstall it and run the McAfee removal tool to avoid problems of
remains of the original. There are recommendations of the antivirus configurations for free below.McAfee - removal tool
http://service.McAfee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?ID=TS100507------------------------------
Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)
Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leave the file system, Web,.
Operational network (Script and behavior are also recommended in Ver 6 +).Prevx - Home - free
Windows Firewall
Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)
Protected IE - mode
IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)
I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
right of IE)Two versions of Avast are available 6.x and 4.8 x
Avast - home - free - 6.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
disabled - click OK

and the network running. (Double-click the blue icon - look OK. - upper left - Shields details
Finish those you don't use).
http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#TAB4Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast
Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here

would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie

never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

Microsoft Safety Scanner detects Vista Security 2012?
Looking for advice please... My nan recently had Vista Security 2012 on his cell phone, which has been deleted... But its made me paranoid.
I have Microsoft Security Essentials on mine, all of this to this day and I do 3/4 analyses fast and 1 full scan weekly. I downloaded Microsoft Safety Scanner yesterday but wonder if that would detect Vista Security 2012.
Microsoft safety scanner uses the same definitions as Microsoft Security Essentials. You get a lot to run both. If you want a second opinion, use something like the free MalwareBytes anti-malware or SUPERAntiSpyware
http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
http://www.SUPERAntiSpyware.com/
For the really paranoid, you can run a scan offline without booting Windows. It must defeat malware that hides itself using a rootkit.

I can't access word or other products. What is going on? I get a message that his stats: windows failed the genuine validation. Security Essentials will be disabled within 30 days...;

Work on getting your fixed Windows installation. Computer is not download the 'important' for vista security updates
Hello!
I have problems with the download of the microsoft/windows updates current. My computer is set to automatically download, but there was a series of 10 "major updates" that I've been prompted to manually download. However, I get a notice that my computer could not download 5 of these 'important' for vista security updates. Important security downloads carry reference numbers: KB956744 KB971557 and KB971657, KB973507, KB973540. Are the other three updates that will not download "update for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB968389)" and "update for the filter of junk mail from Windows Mail for x 64 systems (KB905866).»
Can someone help me understand how my computer download these updates?
Thank you
Hi Brian, confuse
A good step to start with the recommendation provided by Jos Raymond. In addition to this, you can try to clean boot.
We would like to get a better understanding of this issue, so we can better help not only you but other users with similar problems.
What version of the operating system you are using (Windows Vista or XP)?
Please let us know if you see errors or the Windows Update window error codes.
Has nothing changed on your system just before that this problem has occurred - all new hardware devices installed? New software or updates installed?
If you can give us these answers we can help diagnose this problem.
Meanwhile, I have a few basic steps that you can follow first, we can try to put the computer in a clean boot state and then try to install the updates:
To do a clean boot, follow the steps below:
- Log the computer by using an account with administrator rights.
2. click on Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration Utility. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click continue.
3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the Load Startup items check box. (The box use the Boot file is not available.)
4. on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click disable all.
Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.
5. click OKand then click restart.
Once the computer restarts, try to install the updates. If you are not able to install, please check for error messages or error codes.
To restart the computer to a normal startup, follow these steps:
- Click on start to reduce this includes this image, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER. Reduce this includes this imaIf that you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click continue.
2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.
I hope this information is useful.
Please let us know if you need further assistance.

The new version of Firfox save my passwords and in some cases, my customer identification numbers, even if the passwords for this site "Remember" in the security option is not checked. I don't use a master password. There are no entries in the list "password saved" so I'm not able to remove supposedly saved passwords.
To determine if one of your extensions could make logging in, could test you the page Firefox Safe Mode? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
- Help menu > restart with disabled modules
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works
After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).
Any difference?

Where will set the 3013455 for Vista security update?
As he says to https://support.microsoft.com/kb/3013455:
"After you install security update 3013455, you may notice a degradation in quality of text in some scenarios. The problem occurs only on systems running Windows Vista SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP2. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available. »
It made my unusable Vista SP2 and I was forced to remove 3013455. Many have this problem. When Microsoft fix this update, or leave the other four questions in a separate update?

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as
the cause. No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
