  • How to download the program Volume control for the taskbar

Where can I get the installer of the volume control for my taskbar. I've triedControl Panel >sounds and Audio devices > check "Place Volume in the taskbar icon .

When I check the box for "place volume icon in the taskbar" it gives me an error and says "Windows cannot display the control volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it, use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

Where can I get the program from?

You mention that your netbook is HP. Most of the HP products have a recovery partition. If this is the case:

    -Click Start-> Run

    -Type in cmd

-Type in the following, substitute the C:\ and D:\ readers with your partition recovery and partition system respectively:

    Expand c:\i386\sndvol32.ex_ d:\windows\system32\dllcache\sndvol32.exe

    -Press enter, and then type:

    Expand c:\i386\sndvol32.ex_ d:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe

    -Type exit and press ENTER.

Your Volume control should now be restored. You can check this by opening the sound and Audio Control Panel devices and by checking the box to the volume icon to Place in the taskbar.

If your problem is not solved or there is no such thing as a recovery partition after the return

    Hope this helps

    3. try to use the same TV on another computer and check that it works very well.

  • I move images desktop into the trash, and disappears from the taskbar?

So this is a new problem for me, and I have not found anyone who has this problem on the net.

So, whenever I move an icon on my desktop to the trash, the taskbar disappear. On rare occasions, only the Start button will be visible, and the rest of the taskbar is missing. Of course, I can get the task bar by pressing the button on my windows, but I would like this to stop happening.

I will answer a question you may have: no, auto-hide options have not been selected. I checked. If anyone any idea what could be the cause?

    Hi Kenneth,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that the taskbar disappears as you move images from desktop to the trash and I'll be happy to answer your query. Let me ask you;

    1. This only happens when you move images of office?
    2. Have you tried to change the location of the images?

To diagnose the problem, we will try these steps and check.

Method 1: Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists. If the problem does not persist in safemode, turn on your computer in a clean boot state and check.

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode

Safe mode is an option of troubleshooting for Windows that starts your computer in a limited State. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started. The words Safe Mode appear in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you are using.

See: , start your computer in safe mode

Step 2: Perform a clean boot in order to avoid any conflict of third party software.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.

Method 2: Run the System File Checker tool

System File Checker is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.

To do this, click Start, type command or cmd prompt in the Search box, right click invite, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

Note: Not close this command prompt window until the audit is 100% full. The results of the analysis will be posted when this process is completed.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.
