  • The volume max Sound Check turned

If Sound Check is disabled, the volumes of some MP3s are too high and some low.

If I activate the Sound Check, volumes appear to be standardized. But the problem is that the maximum volume is not strong enough, as if all volumes were reduced to be the same volume.

Is it possible to increase the maximum iTunes Sound Check is enabled. If there is any way, please tell me.

Note: I'm looking for a way to that with iTunes settings. I don't want the following workaround solutions:

    • Increase the system volume or the volume of the speakers (other sounds from other applications become too strong)
    • Edit mp3 files themselves (I do over and over again for each new file)

I do not have access to iTunes 11 or 12 now look for it.  In iTunes 10, there is a choice of equalizer which also includes a volume control that increases the volume of the iTunes application.  If you want to make all your strongest songs for all applications, use iVolume to increase the volume of all the songs.  iVolume also matches the volume of all the songs, making them all the same volume.  All applications recognize adjustments made by iVolume.  But know that iVolume will add to comments "adjusted by iVolume to date" unless you disable this option.

  • Display the Volume on the screen?

I use a Dell Inspiron 1720 with windows vista and when I use the external sound keys to change the volume or activate it power, there is no popup or any symbol on the dash board to tell me what level my volume is or if it is enabled or disabled. I am obliged to judge everything by ear that my sound level is completely enter the control panel and open the volume tab, I don't want to do. Initially when I bought the computer almost 2 years ago, I had the volume on the screen popup when I changed the volume, but all of a sudden, I'm more. What will make the volume display on my screen again?

  • That gray box that indicates the volume (not the slider) does not, either made the caps lock notification.

I don't know what it's called, or I would have probably been able to know how to solve this problem, already, but this is the box that appears momentarily on the screen when I press the volume buttons; It does not appear.  Also when lock shift was there was (before my relocation at all, I think) was a notification similar to the volume box that is not displayed.  I thought that these two things might be related, so I wonder about the two.  Thank you.

    MichiCat,

It is likely that you have not installed a software suite that came with your computer because these are 3rd party features.
You must contact the manufacturer of your system for the drivers and the software or if you need assistance you can to your system and model and we will do the best to help you made in the right direction.

  • The Volume control icon is not displayed in the Notification area of the taskbar. The settings in the property window button has grayed out Volume option.

This has happened several times randomly.  Also, it is the case for setting power and network options. Several times the parameters
become operational, to restart windows.  But this time the Volume adjustment control screen remains dimmed out and correlatively
    the icon is not, either.
Mine is windows Vista Home Premium edition.
Would be very grateful if anyone help out me.

  • How can I get rid of the volume icon?

The gray icon that appears whenever the volume is super annoying. Even with the brightness on the mac icon. Especially when watching a video or a game you´re. Why not just make a small bar in the corner of the screen or something subtle than doesn´t keep you from what is on the screen? Is there a way to get rid of the icon without playing with the device in a questionable way?

No, you can't turn that off. You can leave your comments to Apple at http://apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.

  • Cannot place the Volume icon in the taskbar

My desktop (Windows XP Home Edition, SP3) PC has problems with sound:

The "Sound and Audio Devices Properties" window has 2 options in the box "Device volume" (in the middle):

    (1) 'Mute'.

It works OK - I can check this option and sound is cut off, as required.

    (2) "volume icon to Place in the taskbar"

I can't check this option to access the 'Advanced Options' button (bottom-right) and set other options of volume for 2 rear speakers (only 2 front speakers are currently operating).

If I check this option, it fails with this MESSAGE of ERROR:

"Windows cannot display the control volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. »

I have NOT removed / deleted / Uninstall audio files, programs, etc., so I don't know how sound problems have been affected on my PC.

Of course, I can't start the Volume control program, and I can't adjust any volume and sound on my PC settings. The volume icon is not displayed in the tray (taskbar, far right). Try to add the icon for the volume control for this notification area will fail with the above ERROR MESSAGE.

I do not have the installation diskettes, so it is possible to download all the relevant sound files / applications directly and solve this problem (missing volume control program)? All the problems of sound worked beautifully until this volume control program "disappeared."

Moreover, are these stored audio files as backups somewhere on my PC (for example some partition memory?), so I can put it directly in the Windows/Program files?

Troubleshooting guides suggest lack file the SNDVOL32. EXE, but c:\windows\system32\dllcache fact containing SNDVOL32. EXE - of course, this file is not missing, but may be damaged / corrupted, so unusable and inaccessible, as if not found (MESSAGE of ERROR above).

    Please notify. Thank you kindly.

The dllcache folder is where XP guard backup copies of important files and does not come into the game normally and XP will be running fine without this folder (but you don't want to delete it).

If one 3498 files that Windows file protection is missing, PAM retrieves the backup copy in the dllcache folder quickly and silently, replace the missing file.

When you use certain features sounds and Audio devices if you see a message like this:

Windows cannot display the control of volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

    Or this:

Windows cannot execute SndVol32.exe, use Add/Remove Programs Control Panel to install.

Looks like thesystem32\sndvol32.exe file c:\windows\ is missing.

As the sndvol32.exe is one of 3498 Windows File Protection files handles, should never be missing.  To be absent would require an extra effort.  If it happens never missing in the system32 folder, WFP will be want to quickly and quietly replace it if he can.

This may occur if your antivirus/antimalware application unspecified thinks the file is suspicious and quarantines (effectively delete) the file.  You can replace the missing file with a backup copy of the file that is in another folder on your system (if you can find one.)  Sometimes even the backup copy is quarantined (effectively removed)

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

Assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive...

We know that XP retains backups of critical system files in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Using the Explorer, search for or navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Locate the sndvol32.exe file, right-click, choose copy or press Ctrl-C (it copies the file to the Windows Clipboard).

If your Solution Explorer settings are not set to display file extensions, you can only see a file named "sndvol32" which has an icon that looks like to the volume control slider (this is the file you need) or adjust the settings of the browser under Tools, Folder Options, view and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" you can see the file extensions.  You can check that box again when you are finished, if that is your desire.

If the file is missing in the dllcache folder, look for a copy of the file in this folder (you maybe not this file):

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

After copying the file, navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32

Right-click on an empty area in the c:\windows\system32 folder display window and select Paste (Ctrl + V) to paste into the missing file where it belongs.

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a message that 1 file (s) has been copied.

Now try your features sounds and Audio devices.

If you can't find the file on your system, there is one on my SkyDrive and you can download it.
