The Windows media player 11 no sound during playback of the songs in the library

Windows Media Player 11 is no longer being on any sound, but only when I try to play a song in the library, but it is sound when I play a CD or play a video clip with the player, so the speakers & sound card are ok. The track is played physically because the small bar at the bottom of the player moves from left to right and the timer starts counting from zero until the end of the track. I am able to hear the songs in my library if I open it with VLC Media Player. I had no problem in the past, then one day there was no sound... Any suggestions?

Pete

Behavior of strage in WMP from the application of SP1 Win7

Since the Windows 7 (32 bit premium) with SP1 upgrade, Windows MediaPlayer exposes a stange problem.  With WMP set to auto-repeat during playback, I double click an MP3 file from Windows Explorer.  WMP is launched and the MP3 starts playing.  Seconds from the end of the track, it seems that the track starts again, but then only the first instance of the track is still playing.  It's looks like I'm the same way playing on another media player and from reading about the second, just before the first finishes (so the end of the path of departure of caterpillars are bunk with each other).  Funny is when the trial ends, playback will be stopped all together, WMP that outputs a brief explosion of noise, and then the track starts again from the beginning.  If the track repeats once again, it does not repeat this behavior.  He manages at the end and restart normally. Did not have this before SP1 was applied.  I have a Sony VAIO VGNFZ21S's fully patched.  Thought you would like to know...

Thanks for the tips.  Unfortunately, it did not apply to my laptop (no improvement is tab ' sounds / Speakers').

Inspired by your advice however, I started to turn on & off Audio enhancements directly in WMP.  It seems that the fade function is causing my problem.  More I put it, the more noticeable the overlap between the beginning and the end of the track.  Turn off Cross Fade, solved the problem.

As I said, this behavior has not happened before I applied the SP1, then maybe something related to WMP has been included with SP1 that revealed the problem.

Once again, thank you for the reply.

M4A is not a compatible format. The simple solution
is to convert .m4a files in .wma format and
    then import into Movie Maker.

The following free Converter works for me...

    Free Mp3 Wma Converter
    http://www.download.com/free-MP3-WMA-converter/3000-2140_4-10442362.html
(FWIW if you install the converter, you can uncheck
offerings from Yahoo and Dealio) (also... you can uncheck
the CD Ripper and Easy MP3 Cutter)

I joined just thinking... the free VLC Media Player
and or Media Player Classic allows you to 'play '.
your files of .m4a... but they will have to if conversion
you want to use in Movie Maker.

  • How windows media player recognizes what is dvd playback

When you put in a disc and you are offline windows media do not identify the DVD.  When you connect to the internet and that put the DVD it doesn't recognize the DVD and displays useful information about the DVD.  What information of the disc using Windows Media Player?

Information about the digital media content, such as artist, title, album, producer, etc.

  • Windows Media Player 12 - no video, audio playback only

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate (clean install) and will have issues playing any media in Media Player 12, which includes the video. For example, when I look in the library, I see the "Wildlife in HD" file (this is a .wmv) that is installed on my system. When I play the file, it starts without error but I can't hear the audio file, there is no image at all. If I play this file in Media Center, it plays perfectly. I have the same thing happen with the Landscapes.wtv file that the cam installed on my system. He plays in Media Center perfectly but I can't hear the Audio in Media Player.

I tried to remove and reinstall (using Add/Remove windows components) without modification. I clicked these types of files and used the default program choose and set Media Player, also no change. Right now the Media Player is only a music player. However, there is no problem to play .mp3 .wav. ect.

For now, I use VLC to play these file types, but it's annoying to have a $300 more operating system and for it to be so horribly broken.

If you can give advice or solutions, I'm all ears.

I have a possible solution, if you are running an NVIDIA GPU. I found that in the "Video color settings" Panel I had deselect the option use the NVIDIA control panel color settings. Media Player and Media Center work very well for me now. I don't know if it has made all the difference, or have had an impact, but I'm also using Spyder3 on my machine, for photo work.

  • Windows media player won't recognize dvd playback or record

My Media Player will not play it plays the cd and burn cd dvd if I try windows Director, acknowledges that the dvd drive is there but it will not record or play videos

The reader has already worked? If it used to work OK but suddenly failed, then there's a chance (the DVD part of) the drive has failed. You could try a CD/DVD cleaner lens to see if that helps.

It may be interesting to try this fixit MS - http://support.microsoft.com/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems/ and run the built-in utility to see if they find and fix anything.

I guess that its listed as 'work' and showing no problem in the device (on the Panel) Manager?, but its worth checking.

It may also be useful to check on the support site for the PC see if there are updates made support for the PC and player. These can sometimes help.

1-WHY some said files already added to the device, even if the memory card is empty?

2-is there a way to configure windows media player to detect songs appearing twice and automatically delete them or just simply not add syncing?  IF Yes please let me know how.

    Hello

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

You can re-create the database of Windows Media Player and see if that fixes the problem.

To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.

    b. Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.

    c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    Step 2:

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.

    b. Click Start, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.

    c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  • Downloaded the album doesn't play no not on Windows Media Player

I recently bought a movie that included the soundtrack download. I downloaded the soundtrack the same day that I ripped several other CD on my computer. I encountered a problem where for some reason, everything was put in my document rather than windows media player, which never happened to me before, so I transferred both downloaded album all CDs ripped on a playlist on windows media player. When I was unable to get transferred to my library, I gave up for the day and thought a few days to think about that I could understand it. I came home last night and all the albums themselves had moved into my library, with the exception of the downloaded album, and when I clicked it, a message comes up saying windows media could not find the file and that if I tried to burn, rip, or sync and the album that represents the position in my library, can point to an album that has been moved renamed, or deleted. I went to move my documents once again, but he was no longer there and the only place where I can find it is in the playlist, where it does not. I tried redownloading it, but it's a download time. I ran the windows media control and he says he has a corrupted file but don't tell me what to do to this topic or even what the corrupted file was for sure, but I guess it was the downloaded item. If anyone has ideas of how to do to solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately, it was a Web site that has been created strictly for downloads, and when I click on the download that put it directly in the folder my documents, where I had to then transfer to my playlist, so I think he just didn't upload properly
