The Windows media player 11 not properly installed error

I use Windows XP SP3 and windows media player has stopped working, I have reinstalled several times and still no go. I get windows media player 11 is not installed correctly. I did the removal of safe mode, start - run - % windir%\$ntUninstallwmp11$\spuninst\spuninst.exe,... and start - run.

%SystemRoot%\inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP... and even the command line - admin authority...   UNREGMP2. EXE/UPDATEWMPVERSION...which remember coming up invalid entry... the best I can get is a restoration of an old version of media player.

Can anyone help me please with this problem.

Please also try to use Safe Mode system restore. To start Safe Mode, refer to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html .

With 'little window', you hear the (black) command prompt window? Certainly, it should not disappear of itself. Did you follow the exact instructions in my previous post?

  • Windows media player does not work as no driver DVD

Had to format drive (trojan) & reinstall Windows XP home. Now Windows media player does not work as no DVD driver download from Toshiba site?

    Hello

Usually the Windows media Player is not able to read DVD movies IF no plugins were installed.
To watch DVDs, you can use programs such as WinDVD or PowerDVD.
These programs are designed for the DVD play!

But you can also visit the Microsoft Web site and search plug-ins for Windows Media player.
Then you can download and install to play a DVD with WMP

  • Windows Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled. You want to install the Player from the Microsoft Web site?

Running Windows 7 home Premiun 64 x. Click to open the program the message pop up "Windows Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled. You want to install the Player from the Microsoft Web site? "that it takes to the site and there is no available media player Windows 7, installed WMP 11 does not work either. Tried to turn on and back on... did not work

Do you remember the last time that your Media Player worked properly?  You can use the system restore (type it in the start menu to find) to go back on this point.  This restoration takes about 2 minutes and will not affect your files - no matter how far you go.  It simply restores your system files and settings.

I am running XP Home and WMP v11. I get the following message when I try and play some files: "Windows Media Player is not installed correctly. Reinstall the drive.

I can't think that I changed something on the PC to save this change, but clearly I.
