There is a problem with Firefox 'remembering' my Verizon residential account password. Using Firefox, I am obliged to enter my ID and password every time I closed my browser and then restart or close my e-mail for a while, even though I checked the option "keep me connected" significant given by Verizon. I spent a lot of time today working with the technical support of Verizon and they (and I) can verify that it's specific to Firefox and IE is not the case. So far, this seems to be limited to the connection from Verizon, but there may be other affected accounts protected online. If it helps, I run Firefox under Windows 7 with Norton Security and the active Norton toolbar. It is a real pain and needs to be repaired.

Yes, I did not understand question and your explanation is also clear.

My reasoning is that because microsoft still disturb the water and change things on us.

I simply suggested a work around by referring to the use of an e-mail program.

the e-mail program will hold the passwords and the connection automatically on e-mail servers, including circumvention of the landing page.

Basically, I think that it's futile with us, the pigs to India to try to understand what a corporation and various departments full of software engineers are trying to do and have done without giving us a hint about the changes and why.

hoiwever, if you think that the problem you are having is due to "updates", then you can use a system restore point to restore the system to an earlier date being changed by microsoft.

  • I can't erase the history of Bing search. Bing said that there is a problem with Firefox.

I recently discovered that I was able to clear my Bing.com search history with the exception of five searches all done one day. Give attempts to clear this message "we cannot clear history search now. Please try again later. "I'm able to clear search individually.

Customer service Bing suggest it was related to Firefox. I uninstalled Firefox and opened the site with another browser. No change.

Any suggestions on how to deal with this problem.

Thus, the two browsers that you tried to give the same error that Bing is impossible to erase history now? It does not sound like a problem of Bing in this case.

Note: I guess it's history on the site Web of Bing and not the Firefox search bar or a Bing bar.

  • Several major problems with Firefox - crash, loss of bookmarks and history, totalling amnesia

On my Windows 7 Professional 64-bit system, I met worse problems I've had with Firefox (all versions, I tried the oldest and the newest, who currently use 37). One day, I rebooted by computer, and when I started Firefox, it was completely broken. He was not able to load my favorites, TabGroupsManager could not load my recorded session and it crashed when I tried to search Google or visit several Web sites. I couldn't fix it and migrate Pale Moon until exactly the same thing happened there. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled, but now whenever I open it, it's as if it was just installed - no profile information, no Add-ons, no Favorites, absolutely nothing. Application data HAVE folders for profiles that have been opened every time - Firefox does not access and does not recognize that they exist.

I'm totally lost and at the end of my mind. None of the aid or other sites have been any help at all. The problem is exclusive to a single computer - two other computers I've used do not have this problem at all. Help, please!

(Additional note: when I met the first problems of Pale Moon, it gave me an error that it could not access the bookmarks and history because another application has their use.) This error never appeared in Firefox, but given identical patterns of problems and the fact that the pale Moon is based on Firefox, I think it might be relevant).

Well, I think that the problem at least explained that now and patched up right now. I went to a COMPUTER specialist at work and after work things have stabilized.

The computer I'm is a Department that usually connects to a server. The profile data is actually stored via this server, and when I lived the problems, I was at home and that it was not connected to the server said. Normally it is supposed to be a current synchronization that stores things like that to a task on my computer - but for some reason what not really, or at least not properly. That's why I couldn't find a profile.ini file - it was only stored in a place that could not access the computer. After getting to work and do a few random files and other reading, Firefox and Pale Moon are fully functional again, and I can't find the files profile.ini appropriate on the server (they are not yet on my computer, and I don't know how to read locally).

The best solution to the problems 'offline' we had was through a VPN so that I always have access to the server. I would like to get the files on my computer so that I wouldn't have to worry about this, but it's a question that needs to be addressed separately.

Thanks to Seraph for their help in this confusing issue. I have an idea of what to look for if something like this happens again.

  • Problems with firefox and new Seagate SSHD

I recently installed a new Seagate 1 TB SSHD into my computer, it's the new generation of hard drives with built in 8 GB SSD cache. I cloned my old install and everything seemed to work ok

I use firefox with Yahoo answers and regularly answering questions. If I answer a question and press on submit my answer is displayed correctly. If I then try to change my answer and press on submit again that my initial response is displayed and not my answer updated. If I change my answer once again the update response appears after one or two attempts. It seems that there is a problem with the way firefox and this new drive interact with each other.
I uninstalled firefox and deleted all associated data files and made a new installation that actually no difference
I am running version FF 26
    Windows 7 64 bit
    4 GB OF RAM
    AMD Athon x 2 64 6000 dual core

The problem did not happen with my original hard drive, nor is it with Internet explorer or Chrome
I have suggestions would be appreciated.

    David Gaguine

Thanks, but my router does not have a cache and it does not explain why the problem started with the SSHD and is OK with a standard SATA drive.

Clear the history after that outputs FF has not worked.

I think I'll contact seagate support and see if they have similar reports or waiting for the firmware for the drive update

    David

P.S. I have now to lower my head in shame, I discovered that the problem occurs on other machines, it must be something to do with my network or on the Yahoo site itself not FF or new hard drive happily.

I apologize for wasting everyone's time

It is only a problem for the SiteAdvisor users who are still on 3.4. This problem is resolved in the latest version of SiteAdvisor, which is 3.4.1.195. Go to http://siteadvisor.com and click on download. This will fix the problem.

  • I have a problem when using Google Maps, at a certain point my custards computer window and says there is a problem with the display drivers and he recovered, but it is not. Problem does not occur with Int Explorrer, so I don't think it's the computer

When using google maps via Firefox, after asking a place which is not the General section of North America who comes up regularly, the firefox screen becomes white with a narrow banner at the top. A message appears in the lower right corner that says something on display drivers having had a problem, but now have been recovered. However, the display is not recover and the message of the banner is that Firefox is not responding. When I go to restart Firefox if I'm about to restore, the page is still frozen.
I don't think there is a problem with my computer because it doesn't happen if I used to go to google maps, then G-cards works normally.
This phenomenon didn't happen before the last update Google or Firefox. I used Fiefox for some years and also Google Maps on previous computers and on this one and not had it before.
It is a relatively young computer (Asus EeSlate 121) less than a year. I have used Firefox since I bought it and until recently had no problem with Google Maps.

I solved it myself, after the 'note' that was FF/Mozilla, just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system was, I wnnt back to check my plug-ins, etc. I downloaded the latest Java, the TWO 32-bit AND 64-bit versions and latest Firefox.
    Now everything works.
    Thank you

  • How can I back up/downgrade Firefox 5 for Firefox 4? I had nothing else problems with Firefox 5.

I had any other problems with it. At least once a day, it crashes. It crashes even on mozilla.com with no other open tabs. Sites are slow. Much slower than they should be. Google takes a good minute to 2 minutes to load. It's a roll of the dice for me if I have any bookmarks when I load firefox.

I did not have all these problems with Firefox 4.

There could be a problem in your Firefox profile. For example, one of your modules may cause the problem. If you're ready to try some troubleshooting, you could test in Firefox Safe Mode, which temporarily disables your add-ons.

I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See your backup information. (You can copy your profile folder Firefox together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder).

On the Help menu, choose "restart with disabled modules. If you can't go to the Help menu until Firefox freezes or breaks down, hold down the SHIFT key when you restart Firefox. More information: Safe Mode.

Firefox works normally with disabled modules?

    ---

In response to your question, because security vulnerabilities, roll back to Firefox 4.0.1 is discouraged. 3.6.18 Firefox would be the safer choice.

Here is the process to roll back:

First of all, I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See your backup information. (You can copy your profile folder Firefox together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder).

Then, download and save Firefox 3.6 on your desktop for later installation. http://www.Mozilla.com/Firefox/all-older

    Firefox is closed 5.

You could install Firefox 3.6 on it (many have reported success) or you can uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, the entire program.

Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left. If there are serious questions, please post back with details.
