  Not too sure how you'll be able to do on the PB, because you can't start another application. Maybe in the future they will allow applications 'start-up' to be registered.

• Newbie question on a client-server application architecture

  I did some stuff in Java for awhile now, but I have never drawn in the network part of this one. I followed the tutorial to Oracle and I searched some other resources on the web. I don't have a very specific question, but I would be grateful if someone could help me understand all this. My goal in this learning project is to make a server application that will accept an unspecified number of independent of a client application connections. I think that I get the basics of establishing a ServerSocket on the server, put in place the socket on the client, and then open the entry and outflow on both and start a data transfer.
  
  Now, I think I'm stuck in a misunderstanding on this transfer. All of the examples I see seem to treat data transfers when the order who speaks on each side is already known, so you send something good after connection and that you set the other side of eligibility receive something after the connection, and everything works fine. If the order is not known, but I can't seem to understand the flow of the application logic.
  
  Let's say that the server gets 3 connections of 3 customers and save these Socket objects in an ArrayList. Then client B asks something, and the server responds accordingly. Later, the server needs to say something to client B, then it sends information through its support and client B responds accordingly. How should I go about setting up something like that? I think I should put listeners but I can't find examples like these, or do I define the infinite loops for each socket, try to read the data?

  Think of a very basic chat client-server application. When a client connects, it receives all messages written by other customers. It can also send messages that will go to all other customers. It is very similar to your uncertainty about who will speak in the first place, the server or the client. If users wait a bit after the connection, it is likely, that the server will talk first (because another user sent a message). If the customer/user is fast, he'll talk first ("Hello World" or something like that). There are examples of these applications of simple chat on the web, just google for them. And Yes, this is usually achieved with infinite loops. Every customer will have a such loop, try to read data from the server and the server will have as many endless loops simultaneously assets (think multi-threading) given that the connected clients.

  I'm currently programming an Client\Server application.  The server application must host shared variables, and the client application must read.  The client application reads the shared variable in the indicator of their connection with the properties of the indicator.  I started programming and the client application and the server are in the same project.  In the client application I am lie the indicator to the library in my project that has the "My Computer" as the address.  My question is how do I tell the executable installed on any computer, that I wanted to use the variables shared on the server?  I have LabVIEW 2009 DSC.

  If by "data binding", you hear the Variables defined on your computer, then Yes, unless you want not linked to new variables on each executable, in this case here is an example that can help.

  Unfortunately not, this drive is just loading the operating system, not the actual individual applications and drivers. What system you have, there may be certain Acer applications on our technical support site.

  We are certain to have issues with client-server applications such as launch winscp and subversion.they very well, but they can not connect to servers. The appstacks work fine on own vanilla but does not work on the main image with all the policies and basic applications. When install us it manually on the main image the applications work as expected. Indications on where we can make changes on the primary image for the appstacks works? Thank you

  Lakshman thanks for you the directions. I tried to change the .cfg file last week, but had no luck. It's a known with Appsense AM incompatibility. We have uninstalled Appsense & h and it seems to have solved the problem.

  You can add your application to the Muse page by using the feature to insert the HTML in Muse. However, it depends on your server hosting or not the application will run. For example, if your application is in php, and your server is configured for php, the application should work.

• Expiration date of the submitted client Web application

  I have a submissive client web app I need set the expiration date to the 15th or last day of the month, whichever is closest to you. So, it a web application of pay where the employee submits their hours and we want to show once the item now time to cut payroll, which is twice a month, the 15th and the last of the month and is always the one which is the next day. Is their some javascript or liquid I can tell from the date of such and such a date, if it is first?

  My second question I want to ask here is on a time field. If I use datetime, it shows just a calendar and all play with the input field seems to not work to make where they choose a time. If I change the field to a string, then set it as a time, the field is not entered.

  Third question, I am know liquid and love it. I know it can be done with the liquid, but still how it works to make the filling of liquid in the value of a field. For in and out time, I have a third field that is pretty much a sum of total time. I need the total of the time difference between the check-in and check out field and put in the field of the sum. What is the best way to write this liquid calculation? I know JavaScript, but feel that this can be done with easy liquid also. Suggestions or comments?

  I don't think that there is an out of the box solution to find the last day of the month, however, build a hard coded relationship between the number of days and months is pretty easy to do, here's an example of code that I put in place for your particular case. It may be more polite of course (for example, in a few years that February has 29 days):

  In a situation where the blocks required to run the application is greater than the remaining quantity of RAM how ThinApp handles this. He just throw blocks that are no longer needed and load in the new blocks?

  Finally, what are the consequences when the network connectivity is lost when a ThinApp application is already running. The application continues to run because it has the necessary blocks already loaded into memory, but will eventually fail if there where blocks have not yet been charged with the new features of the application?

  You're right to a point... It's more about the isolation modes.

  If the application is completely isolated, then any new data created during execution would go to the sandbox.  However, if this has been done, we would have a problem printing because we would need to write to the folder of spool of physical systems.  That's why the record of spool is on merged default Isolation mode.

  If you have funds % set the blending mode for Firefox (like a thinapp) then you can save the data directly to the desktop of the host.  Therefore, it is the way that the package is configured.

  How windows manages it on a native-ly... by exchanging installation application.  Even if it's a thinapp, the thinapp is just another Windows application.  If it exceeds free RAM and need more, windows will exchange what he can.

  I guess the thinapp would crash with errors to the file cannot be read.  It is similar to she runs from a USB key and unplug the USB.  It would probably crash because it cannot read the disc source.

  Once you restore connectivity, try to revive the thinapp.  If it works then great, if she don't then deletes the sandbox sand.

  Just some thoughts...

• How to open the pdf file residing on the server to the client computer applications?

  The scenario is that I've developed a form using forms10g (9.0.4). I wrote the following lines in the module of the form, there is a button.in the code for this button.

  Now when I run the form and click the button, it opens the pdf "2dayDBA.pdf" file and it works fine.
  My problem is that when I deploy the same form on Oracle application server and copy the pdf files in the same location with acrobat reader installed at the same place and run the formula browser client and press
  the button, it does not open the pdf file and gives me the error "Exception no Oracle".
  
  someone has the solution for this. (don't forget I want to just open the pdf file of the client)

When there are updates available app, however, they appear also on the user account of my wife.   I am running OSX 10.8.5.  When I use my mac, I continue to offered chance to upgrade to the latest version of Mac OS x.  I have not updated.  My computer works fine, and I fear that an OSX update would break applications.  I have a session 10.9 I want to attend which requires OS x 10.9.  Four questions:

  1. is my misplaced concern, and the last OSX does not break applications?

  2. If it does not break applications, there's a list of the applications for this?

  3. the OSX 10.9 is available?  The thought is that OSX 10.9 must be closer to my current system the last OSX.
