They did

I have a HP Pavilian media center TV desk top PC with operating system Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2006. I got it several years and hard drives crashed and I took it to Staples to be repaired. They called me and we agreed on a price, and they fixed. When I got home he was more a media center, it was just a simple PC Xp I tried upgrade media Player 11 player, and he says he should be 64 bit XP before it can be updated. I got the media player 11 before that happened. My PC came with 64 bit XP and how can I know. On the tag that tells the operating system, it just says: XP Media Center Edition 2006. They have installed 32-bit, XP, should they have installed the version of Media Center? Can I get drives of catering for the media center.

Jonej, here is the Product Specifications page for the computer.  Scroll to the bottom of the page to the section titled "category of software.  Here, it shows the software that was originally installed on the computer.  It had XP Media Center 2005 Edition 32 bit installed.

Here's a guide that will help you order the recovery disc for the computer.
