"This document may not be printed, no pages have been selected for print".

When I go to print, Adobe Reader said "this document may not be printed, no pages have been selected for print". Has anyone experience this problem? And if so, how you go about fixing it?

Hi cindeer74034810,

Try the following: open Adobe Reader go to edit-> Preferences menu

  • under Documents, change "Show the documents in PDF/A mode" Never
  • under the (enhanced) protection, clear protected at Startup Mode

Let me know if the problem persists.

Kind regards

Nicos

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 2015.009.20079 DC. This seems to be the last update.   I converted from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  Have also export to Adobe PDF format.  When I get a PDF from the internet, I can download it, but I can't print it, even after download.  When I try to print I get the successive reviews that follow: "this document could not be printed." and "he has not chosen to print pages".  I have a HP Photosmart D110 printer connected wireless.  I can print the documents, if I first convert into Word.  I have a problem that my printer is connected by cable or wireless.  I installed the latest drivers for the printer. I tried to print as an image. PDF files are not damaged or altered.  Sometimes to get all PDF files through the internet. I tried to save as a new PDF under a new name.  Nope.  If I go to tools/printing, I wonder to buy another product for $14.99 per month.  Ridiculous!  Oddly, I can't find a simple print under Tools icon.   In addition, I tried to reboot several times with the same result.  I also tried to go to Edit | Preferences and under Documents where I changed "Show the documents in PDF/A mode forever" under protection (reinforced), have disabled protected at Startup Mode.  None of these things have solved the problem.  All I want to be able to do is to print (either on the internet or after download) these PDFs from various sites on the internet.  I suspect, there is a simple solution, but I have no idea what it is.  Thank you

    Hi PhilT1909,

Its not a system issue I guess, it can be sorted, lets give a try.

Open the PDF file in the web browser (drag & drop the PDF in the browser to open it, make sure PDF viewer plugin is enabled in it) & then directly try to print from there, using Ctrl + P as a shortcut key.

Right-click on the PDF file & select print, without having to open the file in the player.

If it works too, uninstall Acrobat Reader DC using this Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labscleanup tool, reboot & reinstall it using this link http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/.

Let me know how it goes.

Until a few days ago I was able to print a PDF from Acrobat Reader ms in Windows 7.  Now I get "the document could not be printed."  The next panel says "there are no pages selected to print," even if all the pages have been selected.  I've uninstalled Reader and reinstalled, but the problem remains.  I also tried to repair the installation and that doesn't work anymore.

Thanks for the tip.  It turned out that kind Reader has been commissioning in protected mode.  I changed the setting and it prints now as before.

    Thank you

  • Some plugins required by this page have been blocked for your protection.

I get this error after you install a lower version of Firefox in addition to the current version of Firefox. I have since then removed the old version of firefox and reinstalled the current. There's no matter what I do. YouTube keeps warning me that I have to update flash player (even if most of the videos work there).

    Here are some facts:

My flash player is up to date, has been removed and reinstalled.
Shockwave has been removed and reinstalled.
Old version of Firefox has been removed.
Current Firefox has been reinstalled and is up to date.
I get "some plugins required by this page have been blocked for your protection." on each page with flash player on.
Pages do not display flash objects, nor is there anything to place them - they're invisible, empty space.
Flash drive works fine in IE, no error messages.
When I check for updates of the addon, no addon is listed as obsolete.
    These are my addons: http://i.imgur.com/HJEaGmz.png

Why I always get this message? How can I fix it?

    Thanks in advance

Hey, I checked the help > troubleshooting information once again and saw that there is a "Reset Firefox" button... ». I used that and it seems to have solved the problem!

  • CSS does not not in the browser and have been debugging for hours, is there something I missed?

Recently, I built a website for a client (boelmanshaw.com) in Wordpress. CSS of the site fits fine in all other browsers (IE, Chrome and Safari), but it does not work in Firefox. I've debugged the HTML code as I could, and I went through the CSS several times to see what could be the problem. I have not found anything that would be a problem. I'm not familiar with php, so I don't know if that would contribute to the problem, as well. I'm new with coding of websites, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I see in the error Console that you have made a typo: tour support (instead of a hug {and seems to be.)

You can also use the Web Console (Web Developer > Web Console;) CTRL + SHIFT + K) to see this error.

  • Adobe Reader X 1 as the document could not be printed.  There are no pages selected to print.

I am a user of Windows 7 with the latest version of Adober Reader X 1 installed.

For some time, I was not able to print a pdf document.   Maybe boot from the installation of X 1 but is not sure.

    I have two error messages

First of all - the document could not be printed

Then - there is no pages selected to print.

Select all pages or just a page does not change the results.

The same document may be transferred to another windows 7 PC and prints ok using Reader X 1

    I am running

    Adobe Reader X 1 Version 11.0.09

Service Pack 1 of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

I tried to reinstall Adobe Reader

    I tried to disable security

    I tried selecting another printer

A forum suggested to install Adobe Reader 9 however I can't find a copy of this installation.  It seems to be more supported.

    Hi Pat

    Thank you

I went specifically looking for your answers.   I found answers like this

Two things to try: open Adobe Reader | Change | Preferences

Disable protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | Security (enhanced)]

the value of the documents in PDF/A mode forever [Edit |] Preferences | Documents]

(Protection): uncheck the box "enable protected at Startup Mode

Through some of your answers, I found there are 3 things to try.  The first 2, I had tried.   3 fixed my problem.  Maybe I had read that 3rd earlier and thought it was the same as the first.  Apology.

Thank you very much for your help.

  • The document could not be printed - there were some chosen to print pages

Hey, since a few days I can not print PDFs with Acrobat XI (11.0.07).

I tried to print with my own and external PDF files. With the files guaranteed and not guaranteed. No question.

I see this 2 error window

    • The document could not be printed
    • There are no pages selected to print

I can print PDFs with Apple Preview without any problem.

I can also print the same PDF files with my browser (Google Chome)

But I can not print with Acrobat Pro.

    Joerg

After you have reinstalled my system, Acrobat works again.

  • The document could not be printed

When I try to print my invoices from the site TREO or Telus with Adobe Acrobat, and yes my printer works, as I've tested it using other programs and has all the drivers up to date.

This is the message I get:

"The document could not be printed.

    Then, I check OK

Then, "He didn't there has no pages selected to print."

I tried leaving all the pages print, selection of a page by typing in a page number, print as an image, save it to my computer and try to print from there, when you rename the file and printing, emailing myself as an attachment and printing. Nothing has worked. I am convinced that it is a problem with Adobe. I downloaded the latest version: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and elders worked at least. This one I can't print anything since.

Help, please! I've wasted enough time already on this point, I am trying to print my bills!

Chrome uses its own Viewer PDF, not the Adobe/Acrobat Reader plugin.

Try the following: open Adobe Reader | Change | Preferences

    • under Documents, change "Show the documents in PDF/A mode" Never
    • under the (enhanced) protection, clear protected at Startup Mode

If this does not help, tell us your version of Reader installed.

try to use "Autoruns for Windows" and check if there is a boot entry that is associated with your problem. If you do not disable an item at a time and restart the pc and isolate it.

    Hello

I suggest that you contact the manufacturer of the computer to change the BIOS settings and check if it is has updated the BIOS.

Important: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
