I used it every day like this for at least a year. Yet all of a sudden a few weeks that it is started by itself displaying intervene on the legs, I - who happen to be pinned - who currently play in time something with audio. After a search on it, I just found it's apparently an effect of the use of a "Firefox Nightly" edition, which I've never knowingly asked. I'm so just confused, especially without any changes having been authorized since I had downloaded 42.0, as to this change has suddenly where! I'm not complaining, but it seems rather odd. Any ideas? Thank you...

I used to be able to directly access my departure to the top of page, now I get a message to allow firefox to make changes to my hard drive. How can I bypass this step?

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

  • During the installation of software, I forgot to uncheck to change my start page and now it goes to hi.ru even though I changed it in Firefox.

I was installing software. I forgot to uncheck the checkbox change my homepage. I changed it in Firefox and it always happens. The site is hi.ru and not in English. I checked for any new or unusual software in Control Panel and you will see nothing unusual.

This problem is on your system Windows 8.1? (Somehow that got post split as filed, that is for certain phones).

If Firefox ignores the setting of your home page, there are two possible scenarios:

    (1) an extension is the substitution of the implementation in
    (2) your desktop icon is 'hacked' with the unwanted address (in this case, the home button on the toolbar tools and the Ctrl + n would both work correctly)

As the first step, here's my method of tracking down and cleaning of unwanted modules. I know it seems long, but it's not so bad.

    (A) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Beware of everything that you don't recognize / remember, since malware often uses sounding names important or innocent to discourage you remove. Out as much garbage as possible here.

B open Firefox page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
    • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
      firefox.exe "about:addons"

In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Remember that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Any improvement?

    If you have extra time:

    (C) you can search the rest of problems with scanning/cleaning tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.

Good if there are firefox had fallen behind to the serious bad and I was looking for how to go faster and I saw a post in a forum (don't remember which site) and he told me to change something to the topic: config to raise it, they have said how many times the changes firefox goes and saves your tabs for when you re - open, but now it seems that it does not record it at all because I had my pages to the top for hours, then the computer is a mandatory update and so it restarted and now I've lost my pages and I want to change where he remembers as often as it was so nobody knows what I changed in all: config so I can change it back?

Do you have files sessionstore-# .js in the folder of Firefox profile with a number in the name?

You can try to delete the sessionstore.js file and files possible sessionstore-# .js with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

  • This morning when I started Firefox it shows my home page as screwed up as yesterday but Safari has shown as it should look like, what is wrong?

I currently use version 3.6.24 Firefox on my PPC mac with 10.4.11 system. I use Firefox for many years without any problems. I received yesterday and on my screen to alert that there is a new update of Firefox available at the facility. I clicked on OK and the update started. When it's over, I checked and it's the same version, 3.6.24, I used and apparently nothing has changed until I went to my eBay site. Once on my site, I signed in and went to manage my Articles page. The page was different because normally it shows all the items, I have for sale and at the top of the list of points of sale are the three items to check and look at my listings, which I look at you, my profile and my alerts. When you click on one of them you are normally taken to another page. When I went there after apparent installation of the updated release of Firefox page showed my ads in a single column, my profile in another column and third column for my alerts all on one page. This is not normal. I got out and went to my home page which is http://www.rr.com/. Now it was different. Parts of the site have disappeared, the sections with the weather, news, and reviews. I thought it might be the site and then I launched Safari and went to the same page and it is normal. This morning when I started Firefox it shows my home page as screwed up as yesterday. Safari has shown as it should look like. I then started SeaMonkey and it showed the page as it should look like. I really like Firefox and I'd like to get it working again as it should. Would appreciate any suggestions. My email address is [email protected]

  • Whenever I run Safari my fan comes at top speed and gets hot.  This does NOT happen with Firefox

Since I upgraded to El Capitan, when I launch Safari, my fan is running hot, CPU goes into battery and use 100% drops quickly.  This does NOT happen with Firefox.

Force Quit Safari and then restart Safari while holding down the SHIFT key. This will launch Safari without plugins or extensions. If works in Safari you have to remove all extensions you have installed and reinstall better one at a time until you find the offending Safari extension.

What you are trying to download is an update to El Capitan, which requires that El Capitan already installed.

You should find the correct Installer for El Capitan in the Apple store under the purchased tab.
