I will try to UPGRADE to a PREVIOUS VERSION OF THUNDERBIRD to retrieve my calendar desperately need!

Can you uninstall and then download and reinstall the lightning?

Older versions here: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/

  • Thunderbird 38.3.0: No writable calendars are configured for the invitations with the provider for Google Calendar 1.0.4

    Hello

I searched many hours today in the internet and your forums, but it seems that this problem is not solved yet:

No writable calendars are configured for the invitations with the provider for Google Calendar.

My Thunderbird is 38.3.0 and the provider for Google Calendar 1.0.4.

I put calendar.google.enableEmailInvitations; true but it did not help. I also tried [email protected]... @googlemail.com. Calendar works fine, it syncs, I see all the entries etc. But I can't accept invitations even IF she must have write access.

What can I do? Is there a solution for this?

    Thank you!
    Daniel

Use CalDAV here to access Google Calendar via lightning. I have no experience with the add-on of the provider.
In any case, it is my understanding that you must assign an e-mail address to a calendar in order to be able to accept the invitations for this calendar. I see that in your screenshot.
You can try to remove the Google calendar in lightning and re-create it. Given that all the data is on the server nothing will get lost.
Or you may want to try CalDAV.

  • Sync Google calendar in Thunderbird/Lightning problems

    Hey all,.

So I keep a Google calendar so I can access my journal of my phone (android) and my laptop (via lightning add-on from Thunderbird). After some difficulties with my android app (that I solved), it seems today I managed to banjax Lightning: I can view my calendars very well on my phone and in a browser on the site Google.com/Calendar, but the lightning on my Thunderbird tab remains empty (almost entirely).

I tried to remove and reinstall/reapply the individual calendars themselves (there are three, a staff, two wildcard 'holiday in [country]' and "Week numbers") of lightning, as well as the two add-on Lightning the himself (v. 2.6.6) and the other "provider for Google Calendar" (version 1.0.3) you will need to make lightning plays well with Google.

The calendars are displayed in the left of the lightning pane, if you can see * something *, but it does not display the individual events - the real calendar in the center of the screen remains stubbornly empty.

Creation of new events 'test' in my browser (or my phone) is not a problem, but they do not appear in lightning, nor my pre-existing events. * New * events created in lightning, however, will appear in my browser if I press the "sync" button in Thunderbird and can be successfully edited and removed from the browser.

I hope I'm missing something obvious...?

OK, got it solved... but I don't know why.

I tried updates (for Thunderbird, Lightning, the provider for Google Calendar, call you) yesterday when it first happened, but it seemed that everything was up to date. First thing this morning, an update for Thunderbird itself was available - installation (to 31.3.0) invite to an update of the lightning (at paragraph 3.3.1), although the provider of Google is always v. 1.0.3.

Once the updates have been made, I disabled the provider, subscribed to my calendars and resubscribed... and found my events. Everything works as it should now.

Hope this helps someone in the same situation, in that I was!

  • Lightning 4.0.2 will not install on Thunderbird 38.2.0

Windows 7 Professional, the last 38.2.0 update was incompatible with the calendar provider installed lightning & Google.
Documentation says that it is "grouped" in 38.2.0 but saw nowhere (the Calendar tab and tools > calendar disappeared.)

Download Lightning 4.0.2 seems to occur, but the installation fails. Add-ons Manager shows that this 'installation' and said 'Lightning will be installed after you restart Thunderbird. Reboot causes nothing to happen. Reboot the machine causes lightning 4.0.2 to disappear.

Exclude: I blocked Webroot antivirus to make sure no effect there.

Another entry in this space where 38.2 killed the calendar but the relocation apparently worked.

    Thank you.

From your answer I don't know if you have tried the construction of candidate or not.
The difference with the official version is that it contains not all locations.
The official lightning build dumps a ton of files in the extensions folder, so it may well be related to antivirus.
In addition, you may need to remove the "progressive" under "extensions" directory in the front profile.
The problem does not seem to be widespread, if not this forum would be full of complaints.

  • Thunderbird allows synced on mutiple computers in different places? keeping the inboxes of folders, address books, even at home and work

I want to use Tbird on several machines and locations. and keep the address books and folders synchronized

Yes, with some work on your part.

E-mail is synchronized automatically if you use IMAP on all machines.

Address book synchronization can be achieved by synchronizing to a "service of address book based on the net. I use Google Contacts and the add-on gContactSync in Thunderbird.

You have not asked about the calendar, but you can also synchronize the lightning calendar in Thunderbird for a service like Google Calendar.

I am able to share email address books and my calendar between Thunderbird (under LInux and Windows 7) and also on Android based tablets and phones.

If you want to do the hard, you can synchronize Thunderbird on multiple computers by porting its profile among them.

You also might consider Portable Thunderbird running from a USB key and just get your email on your.

  • Thundrbird calendar 38.1 is now stable?

    Thunderbird 37.0 load XP.com

Don't know what you're saying on the Thunderbird Lightning. Lightning is the calendar for Thunderbird extension.
There is no version of Thunderbird 38.1. The most recent is 38.0.1.
If you do not have a specific problem with 31.7 versions or 38.0.1 that you would need to provide more details.

  • Thunderbird to open e-mail folders the workspace team

    Hi all

While there is no problem to open e-mail folder a team workspace (for example: Inbox) using Zimbra or Outlook + OBEO, someone has managed to do the same thing using Thunderbird?

TBird + lightning can open calendars to workspace team, but e-mail? : () o

    Kind regards

E-mail to the team workspace is not exposed via IMAP.

You can access workspaces through Zimbra e-mail by installing the record as "shared folder."

  • HORRIBLE 38.3.0! Problems with lightning (bug 1211291)

    Hello
Thunderbird set itself updated 38.3.0 today and I have several questions:

    1. When you have selected the Inbox, rather than see, the sender, the date sent etc. on the half top of the pane and the body of the email in the background, I see a page that says Thunderbird Mail - Inbox with e-mail accounts, advanced features below. It looks like the page for server-level file. He said: no matter what folder I take Thunderbird Mail - [folder name]. If I click with the right button on a folder and select open in a new tab, I can see my mails.

    2. it is slow to respond.

3 calendar disappeared. The menu events and tasks of the element disappeared, so I can't select from there. I saw another post suggested to go to tools > Options menu and making sure that the Lightning has been activated this brings me to my next problem.

    4. When you select several menu items that nothing happens. This is the case with the help > about Thunderbird (so I could check the version and are looking for an upgrade), tools > Options and many others.

I'm on Windows 7 64 bit. I noticed in the section removal programs that he updated to 38.3.0 today and Firefox also updated. As I type this I noticed that it is also buggy, freezing the text I type and very slow. For Thunderbird, there is an uninstall for 38.3.0 and one for 38.2.0. I uninstalled the 38.3.0 in the hope that le.2.0 would always be there and work. Not the case. Do not wait to spend hours to reinstall for my wife and myself. It seems that many people have similar problems, but I don't think anyone of them got both. I have included a picture of the folder view.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

Indeed, it was noted that this is caused by the calendar addon.

    For Windows,.
    1. install the old version of http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/38.2.0/win32/en-US/Thunderbird%20Setup%2038.2.0.exe
    2. remove the calendar addon, restart thunderbird
    3. Update thunderbird help | On
    4 reinstall the calendar addon

My Inbox is open and a new email arrives. The number in parentheses behind the Inbox folder on the left of the folders tree, grows with 1. However, I see no new message in the Inbox pane. When I first, open another folder and then return to my Inbox, the new message is displayed as it should be in bold. So I have to change files all the time before I can read the new messages are indicated by an increase in the number of in the tree.

This was not the case before, and it is very irritating. Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

It resembles what we see caused by the calendar addon.

  • Cannot automatically download new messages and auto answer with out-of-Office message must manually check for new messages, so he can do

I use Mozilla Thunderbird 31.3.0. I know how to create a message filter, to implement a response message automatic, but impossible to get Mozilla to automatically download new message and auto reply with the message in the filter, unless I have manually check for new messages, this is the only way to make it work. I looked online and can't seem to find an answer to that particular question. According to everything I found, I have the right boxes checked in the server settings: automatically check for new messages at startup, check new messages, check for new messages every x amount of minutes. It's one thing to have leave my computer and open Thunderbird for this works, but having to manually check for new messages get the AutoReply to work defeats the whole purpose of having an automatic response, because I use them for vacations, holidays, etc. I wondered if there are security settings that cause this problem, but if so, I don't know what changes to do to them. Thanks in advance for any help. It drives me crazy.

I find it a little odd that Thunderbird does not mail on the calendar, you may have an add-on or antivirus program that prevents this.

Now shift while you start Thunderbird will begin with disabled modules to check if the messages are automatically.

By air is to the right, use the autoresponder Verizons. This link might help with this http://www.verizon.com/support/residential/internet/highspeed/account+tools/email+tools/questionsone/85621.htm#
You say that not having is not such a context in Thunderbird is something that needs fixing. This idea comes across because Outlook has such an option. what most people don't know of it only works with Exchange server. There is no "vacation response" in the specifications of the mail server so every server implements differently.

As all cars have a radiator, you can't take any radiator, and simply put, they are subtly different even if they perform the same purpose. Goes same for stakeholders of vacation, they perform the same function, but they differ between brands of e-mail server software.

Thunderbird leaves the server end to expose the feature, because they are really the only ones who understand what they were doing. Outlook exposes the option and especially greys out.

  • Thunderbird freezes when Windows 10 fate of mode 'sleep'. SOLVED by disabling lightning, provider for Google Calendar and calendar Tweak

Since the update of Windows 7 Windows 10, Thunderbird has acted erratically. At random times, he keeps checking for new messages. If I then try to manually check for mail, it freezes. He meets some menu commands, but by clicking anywhere in the components (list the mailboxes), the list of messages, etc. does nothing. Sometimes, it opens a white notification window, which I can only get rid of kill it with Task Manager. More often, if I just close Thunderbird and start it again, it starts working normally again... For a period of time. The problem seems to happen most often when I turn Windows off mode 'sleep', but

    I'm currently under Thunderbird 38.2.0.

I tried to disable some add-ons that I wasn't really using. I'll see if that helps. I saw that he suggested that users with similar problems running Thunderbird with all disabled add-ons, but I also saw that it said that it is really only a temporary fix rather than a real solution and I agree. List of enabled extensions:

    Add-on Compatibility Reporter 1.1.1
    The Update Checker 2.13 module
    Check compatibility 1.3.1
    Compact header 2.1.0
Mark all as read button 0.7.1
Reduce to a minimum at Lac revived 1.1.2.1

Any other suggestions? Anyone else having the same problem? I saw a few others with Windows 10 problems, but nothing quite matched mine.

Thanks for the help. Until now, deactivation of lightning, provider for Google Calendar and calendar Tweaks seems to have solved the problem. If it begins to freeze again, I'll do Mode without fail a test.

  • A calendar attached to Windows Live Mail can be migrated to Thunderbird calendar?

I've successfully migrated my email accounts and local archive folders to Thunderbird on my Windows 10 PC. Is it possible to migrate also the detailed timetable attached to Live Mail across the Thunderbird calendar? It will be painful to re - enter all entries manually.

I worked on it - no help needed, thanks.

  • Calendar and tasks have disappeared from Thunderbird.

Have you tried to reinstall & update Thunderbird who worked the last time that this product when you use Windows 7 Pro. (now using Windows 10 Pro.) Restarted and stop / restarted the PC nothing works.
Calendar is listed in my training under Mozilla Thunderbird program file.
Windows updated yesterday and completed the beginning until today that may or may not be relevant.
Email Thunderbird works as it always did.

Open the Thunderbird file listed under the "calendar" Watch programs

Don't know what you're talking about. Maybe you can provide a screenshot?
In any case the calendar is in your Thunderbird profile folder, not in the program folder.

Lightning is not installed because I don't want.

Interesting. Lightning * is * the Thunderbird calendar extension.

If you want the calendar then you need to install Lightning, whether you like it or not. You can get it from AMO.

  • If I enter an event in the calendar on a PC it will automatically be entered/synchronized in Thunderbird on a second/other PC agenda

I entered one and the event does not appear in the calendar of Thunderbird on a second PC.

How is a computer supposed to know what you did on the other?

It works with email IMAP-connected because two e-mail clients display the same common shared together e-mail messages and folders, which are held on a mail server. Whenever you change, sending or filing a message, the changes are visible to all connected devices.

For the calendar to do the same, there must be a communication channel. I don't know how you imagine a computer can arbitrarily to recognize another one of your computers and share data with it.

You need to set up a common, shared schedule each of your computers can connect to. The solution less expensive and easier to set up a Google Calendar and have each of your Thunderbird/Lightning installations are synchronized with it. Note that since Google Calendar is supported by multiple devices, you can sync of calendar with computers using a variety of operating systems and also tablets and phones. Even supported Blackberry Google Calendar. Use this, I sync calendars on multiple computers Linux, Android tablet, a Windows laptop and an Android smartphone, and before that I stopped using it, a Blackberry phone.

Or start porting your profile multi-gigbayte between your computers. Ugh.
