  Hello!  I've read up on the new version of Flash that came out last week and have been waiting for a notification of automatic update for it, but no notification came again.  Versions of Flash 10.3 will give you a notification to take care of the update at the 11, or I have to 10.3 remove me, then download a new copy of 11 of the download from Adobe site?  Furthermore, I am on Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1 and have the latest version of 10.3, which I have performed in Internet Explorer 9, ActiveX edition.

  Nice set of questions!  I'll try to answer all or most of them and maybe put the entire conversation in the FAQ section.

  If you have set the auto update, then it must check if updates are available within days n you specified to check.  Did that not happen in your case?  If so, we will have to file a bug on this issue report.

  When Setup runs, it should automatically delete all previous versions of Flash Player in the process.  However, it sometimes happened in the past that some parts of older versions of Flash Player were left behind; That's why you sometimes see the recommendation to uninstall it before installing a new version - in particular a new major version, i.e. from 10 to 11.  But in most cases, there is no need for this.

  If you have any doubts, see C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash if it is older than the last 10.3.183.10 present modules.

  In regards to the 32-bit and 64 - bit:

  • with a 32 bit OS users should use the 32-bit setup programs and uninstall programs;
  • with a 64 bit OS users must use the 64-bit Installer and uninstaller programs; Note that the 64-bit installer will automatically install the 32-bit editions and 64-bit Flash Player.

  I think that the current way of providing separate installers for 32-bit and 64-bit is a bit confusing.  In my opinion, Adobe should provide that a single installer that automatically detects the version of the OS and install the Flash Player editions accordingly.  I also think that players Flash for Internet Explore (ActiveX) and other browsers (plugin) must be combined in a single installer.

  (1) would not check for incoming mail
  (2) popped up the windows of information that had no text and even not closing "x" in the corner (although I could click the right superior whiteness and she closed)

  See here for information on how WinMail stores messages (www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm).  Under the Inbox of the message store directory (as indicated by Imran), the eml for the Inbox files are located.  Which opens in Windows Explorer and see if the number of eml files is the number of messages that signals the WinMail.  If the number of eml files is higher than the number WinMail indicates, then its likely lost some of these messages are still there.  You can try similar tests in other folders as well.  If you find more WinMail indicates, then you can drag all eml files out to explore in a new Windows Mail folder and then you can figure out which has been lost.
