Tie the line to a rectangle & to repeat lines

Hello

In the picture attached, how would have joined the two orange lines to the orange rectangle? Using Pathfinder/unit does not try to add a point of the angle.

Also, what is the tool and how to use it to create expandable blue lines and make them all online upward?

Thank you!

• How to remove lines from the side of a rectangle

Hello, I am a brochure design and have added a rectangle with an outline of a different color, but I want only the shot to be on the top and bottom of the rectangle.  How can I remove the sides?  I tried just by selecting the race with the direct Selection tool and then click on delete, but it removes the entire rectangle, fill and stroke.

Thank you... my apologies for such a newbie question

broomeGirl,

You can:

(1) create a copy of the rectangle and remove the fill on the copy and delete the line on the original;

(2) after the deselection, with the direct Selection tool, click on each of the two unwanted segments and delete it.

You can group the two strokes and the rectangle at the bottom.

• Change the thickness of the lines created with the Rectangle tool in CS2?

I'm trying to change the thickness of the lines for a rectangle drawn with the Rectangle tool in Photoshop CS2.

I can't understand how change the thickness of the lines of the four sides of the rectangle before I draw the rectangle by using the Rectangle tool or after the Rectangle was drawn. The same problem seems to occur when you use the tool polygon, Ellispse tool, etc.

I can turn the rectangle to make it bigger or smaller, etc., but it seems that I should be able to vary the thickness of the lines for a rectangle.

This task is possible in Photoshop?  It's simple in Illustrator - it seems it should be a fairly simple task in P-shop.  I looked on Google and in help for P-shop CS2 for a response but cannot locate a solution.  I don't see something really obvious?

Any help is greatly appeciated.

Thank you!

Read post 1 once again. You want to use the layer style (double click to the right of the name of the layer in the layers panel) and use the option of the race. You can even set layer styles to apply to objects with a single click. If you frequently need the thick rectangle, it will be a click.

Layer style presets that are predefined values and cannot be changed on the fly just like real styles, but they are still very useful.

• Cannot be joined lines when using the line Segment tool

So unfortunately, I've updated to the latest version of Illustrator Cc (V19.2.1). And to my horror, I can no longer draw a line (with the line segment tool) then draw another line, coming from the previous those anchor point. When I try to shoot immediately. He's trying to turn the line rather than create a line joining... anyway to change that or am I stuck with it?

(Also, I use windows currently..)

http://Tinypic.com/player.php?v=iqc0mc & s = 9 #. Vr5gifJ95hE

I don't know if you can say/see/see in the video, but here's the process that I'm following departure using the line-drawing the line-> > segment trying to draw a line from that anchor point (and that is the question, when I'm doing it automatically, it assumes I want to transform the line)-> changes to the tool selection and clicks on the line to deselect-> goes back and finishes object, repeating the process.

Help me please... I'm desperate...

It is these new life forms, a few disadvantages too with the rectangle tool, ellipse etc. tool.

to go back to the old behavior

Object > shape > expand the form, do a deed for him, or do what I did a hotkey (Windows 7).

Edit > keyboard shortcuts > Menu commands > object > shape > expand the form , then in the first box to the right click in it, select and press a key on the keyboard, I choose F9, OK and name.

It's an extra step, having to have a finger on the mouse and the other on the keyboard for each line. but I can't think otherwise.

• How to put the line above the footer area?

In Microsoft Word, it is very intuitive.

But for the Page, even an engineer has trouble understanding...

Anyone?

Engineer, I expect you to be more explicit about the version of OS X and Pages you are currently using. Because not specifying these means to guess between several requests for Pages and their behavior, I offer a current solution for v5.6.1 Pages.

It is possible to place a line above your footer of document, but it is not automated.

1. In the display of Pages menu, select display layout. Now, you have a fixed footer visible.
2. Click on the Forms toolbar item and choose the regular line segment.
1. It will go down in your selected document plan. The right Format Panel now displays the tabs Style and suits. Click on the latter and text wrapping set to None.
2. You can click on each end of the segment of the line and turn it to 0 °, or use the rotation dial in tab reorder. You can also directly enter the 0 ° in the Angle box.
3. Above and repeating your line segment to the width of your footer and in the Style tab, positioned the segment thickness line and color to your liking.
3. With the selected line segment, visit the menu arrange: Section Masters: move Section Master object.
1. Now, this line above your footer will appear on each page of your current section. It is a background object and is not editable, except if you select the menu arrange: Section Masters: make Master objects selectable.
• How to draw the lines automatically

In LabVIEW I must draw a line automatically (both vertically and horizontally) the user will define the vertical and horizontal number lines.

Is this possible with LabVIEW

Thanks in advance

You move to the point of departure of the line using "move the pen", and then draw the line using "draw the line".

Repeat for each line. (using for example a for loop and autoindexing on positions).

• How to concatenate strings with the lines of a text file

Hello
I tried concatenate strings with the lines of a text file, but something is wrong with my code and I belive is the agruments I use in the cycle for. If anyone can help me I will appreciate it very much.
My code is:
@echo off
the value "input=C:\Users\123\Desktop\List.txt".
for /f "usebackq tokens = *" % in (' input % ') do)
the value 'str1 = C:\some directory\ ".
the value ' str2 = %% ~ F '.
the value "str3 = .pdf".
the value "str4 = str1% str2% str3%.
echo.%STR4%
) [/ code]
and the text file is something like:
121122
122233
123344
124455 [/ code]
But I get only one wrong answer and I have to run it like 3 times to get a real result and it is a mistake, the first two are empty spaces and gives the third one as the last line of the text file but repeated n times, where n is the number of lines in the text file.
Result:
C:\Users\123\Desktop>concatenate.bat
C:\Users\123\Desktop>concatenate.bat
C:\Users\123\Desktop>concatenate.bat
C:\some directory\124455.pdf
C:\some directory\124455.pdf
C:\some directory\124455.pdf
C:\some directory\124455.pdf
C:\some directory\124455.pdf
C:\Users\123\Desktop>
So if anyone has an idea about what is wrong please let me know.

• Plan less first Pathfinder does not work with the lines?

I'm all new to illustrator and may not have the vocabulary to ask this question well.  Please bear with me.  I want to remove the center of a shape from a bunch of lines

Imagine that I have established a grid wavy using the Warp tool.  I want to place a circle on the top of the grid and then delete everything that is in the middle of the circle.  The result would be a grid with a hole of type Swiss cheese inside.  I need the parts circled the line actually be deleted (not just hidden) because I'll eventually use the model for laser cutting.

I understand how to proceed when background objects are forms - such as a hole of Gruyère in another circle - using less before.  However, it doesn't seem to work if the background of the drawing is just a bunch of lines.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Thank you!

Draw the circle:

and a rectangle underneath which covers all - different colors are important

All select and use the pathfinder "Outline."

Give you this

Take the magic wand and set it to stroke brain and tolerance 0%

Click on the circle

Remove. Then delete the rectangle.

• Now shift isn't snapping line when you use the line Segment tool

I could be wrong and it has always been like that, but when I take a shift to rotate a line created by using the line Segment tool turns is more degrees as I thought that it used to. I checked and it works always with the Rectangle tool, but not when I traced a line. Guides and snap to Point are both on.

Is much more annoying when I'm dragging an end point and it will remain at an ideal level of 90 or 45 angle... but nevertheless it remains valid this angle when I paint, just do not change.

Matt,

You are not alone.

I think you put a "line" around them. Select them and change the weight to 0.

• SVG of Illistrator seems well in the programs but the lines appear when in the browser. Why?

Graphic in Illustrator SVG seems to animate, but appears with the lines in the browser. Why?

The reason for white lines is the works of how anti-aliasing. These are the artifacts of smoothing and you can't do much.

For example, you have 2 black rectangles. The left, 5.5 pixel and right stop, we start 5.5.Ideally, you expect both of them to merge and no gap line. But in the browsers of the way this works is, each shape is rendered on its own. The left at 6 gets mixed up on the black with an opacity of 50% and when it renders the right, column 6 again gets mixed wire black one with an opacity of 50%, making it now a black man with an opacity of 75%, so you see these lines. It is the question. You can solve the problem by making things overlap always press the limits of pixels.

Kind regards

• Drawing with the pen tool or the line Segment tool

Hello

I have need of tips and tricks to draw the design of a singlet. What is the way most appropriate for the task? What should I draw the line one by one, or create a model brush to draw? Please refer to the image as an attachment for a better understanding. Thanks in advance.

draw.jpg

There is a lot to address the issue. Myself, I will draw all the basic shapes with the pen and shape tools (there really only 5 different forms in the main design), application of rounded corners effect according to the needs and duplication/reflection needed to reproduce the layout. So I "would make the cuts" on the forms by using additional objects... many positioned with step & repeat and/or mixture... and apply Pathfinder operations.

• Moving anchor points and the whole shape gets distorted to change the line weight

I have a fairly simple drawing that I drew in a larger size, so I could be more specific with it, and now I want to reduce up to the finished size and thicken the line, but when I make the line thicker, my anchor points are moving and the whole drawing is distorted.

Using Adobe Illustrator of 24 years, I never saw that happen. When I click on the "up" arrow in the stroke palette a lot of time to gradually increase the thickness of line, I can watch made anchor 'walk' around like my shape gets distorted.

If I go to the place a numeric value for the thickness of line, it doesn't.

However, if I use the scale tool to shrink the design down to the size of 10% or 20%, or whatever, with traits of the scale and effects UNCHECKED, yet once, move the anchor points and the drawing is distorted.

It's all about a brand new installation of Illustrator CS 6 for Mac (although I use CS 6 for about 2 years now, my hardrive crashed this past weekend and I had to reinstall everything).

I missed a little box somewhere that I never saw elsewhere that is what actually happen?

This post editing to add:

Also, some of these objects in my drawing I cannot change the race less than 1 point thickness. If I choisis.5 ou.25 pt in the context menu, or even if I enter the numeric value, it jumps to 1 point. Other objects in the drawing are not.

These objects in question are "rounded rectangle" forms I used the scissors tools to cut and then used the "join" command to put them as well as other forms that have been "scissored"as well."

All forms of "Ellipse" and "Rounded Rectangle" that I have left intact do not exhibit this problem with stroke and distortion.

You are being bitten by the Align-to - pixel grid. Select the entire document and go to the transformation Panel and turn off snap to Pixel - grid at the bottom of the Panel. Then go into the rollout (small triangle in the upper-right) and disable align objects on the pixel grid.
