  Do you mean the command buttons from Toshiba which control the WMP function such as play, pause, stop, etc.
  On some Toshiba laptops, Toshiba command buttons can be configured manually.
  Please check in the control-> Toshiba Panel controls.

  I needed to create multiple folders shortcut for a project that needs them often, and I just couldn't. Still, I remember in the past and one of them actually have on my desktop for my photos.

  It appeared that in folder trees if I right click on the folder you want, "create shortcut" Option did not show upward! the same with the folders on my desktop would be! If rich of this conclusion, I copied my "recalcitrant" folder on the desktop (had to cut short the copy because it was great!), but got a copy of it on my desk (with only what he had time can be fully copied!). Then right clicked on it and the shortcut option appeared! I re routed the path to the original on my D drive folder and it works well.

• shortcuts FN does not work after bios update?

  I have a laptop HP Envy 14 with Win 7 Ultie 64 bit installed. I recently did an update of the BIOS via the HP Support Manager and subsequently, my fn shortcuts no longer work (such as fn + F9 to silent volume, etc.).   HI, you can adjust the behavior of the key FN in the BIOS.

  Reboot and press "F10".

  Use the arrow keys to highlight "System Configuration"

  go down to "Keys of Mode" and change the setting.

  By default, the setting is on Windows, press the button performs the action. for example on my device to mute I can press F11. Pressing F11 in itself does not send the signal for 'f11' for Windows. (Another example is that F5 on the old PC is normally to refresh the Internet Explorer page. On the units again default is some special action is related to the F5 key)

  If you change this setting, you need to press FN + F11 to turn off the sound, but by pressing F11 by itself will now send the command 'F11' for Windows.

  In El Capitan this shortcut has been changed to control more space.  You can still assign it what you want in the system prefs/keyboard/shortcuts.

  May be what you are defined. Styel shortcuts are limited to the use of a modifier key in the drop-down list with a key on the numeric keypad.

  You are right. New portable computers are delivered with the settings and everything should work fine.
  I don't have Win7 on my laptop but I presume that it is similar to Vista, then go to start > all programs > Toshiba > utilities and check if there are shortcuts to restart Flash cards.
  Maybe you'll be able to turn it on again.
