Time of parental control

I would like to establish deadlines for some programs (e.g., games and the internet) and allow extended deadlines for the software of the school (for example, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) etc. Is this possible and if yes, how I do this?

  • How to reset or remove allowed Web sites at the time of parental control?

My son discovered my password of security for the family and added websites allowed himself. He is since then was changed to a much more secure password, but there are now hundreds of sites in the list of allowed sites. Is it possible to reset or mass delete sites?

    Hi Angela,.

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community.

I appreciate that you try to remove the Web sites, which have been added by your son, after changing the password, so that once more, you can set restrictions on what websites to access.

You must manually add the site you want to block.

You can check the link below to set limits on Web sites that your child is accessing:

  • Parental control blocks WMA format audio playback of the site on the list of allowed sites

I use Windows Vista Home Edition basic pm a Compaq desktop computer. I've set up parental controls for the user account of my son. Under parental controls, I've marked ', apply the current settings,' ' we vires infromation on the use of the activity, ' no time limit are marked, games is marked not for theirs does not, all programs are allowed - none is marked to the block, and web restrictions are marked Allow list only. When he goes to his school site at home (which is on the list of allowed sites) and clicks on an audio conference that is WMA format it said of a box with Windows Media Player, along the top border and the message: Windows Media Player cannot perform the requested operation because the Parental control filter Web is turned on. To enable this action, ask your administrator to disable the web filter for your user account. Is it possible to get this set up so I don't have to temporarily turn off the parental control. Which kind of defeated the purpose controls, if I turn them off for this presentation, he will have free access to the Internet until I turn it back on. This means that I need to sit on it during the time that parental control is switched off! Not funny! I love being able to allow only the sites that I approved, if I could just allow him to hear the audio to WMA format that would be great. Any ideas?

  • parental control works do not (time curfew does not)

I have windows 8 on my laptop Acer Aspire, I setup as an administrator and my son is set up as a user.  I tried to implement curfews in time for my son using the family safety settings.   I went to the Microsoft website for Windows 8 and follow-up all the instructions on how to implement the time curfews.  For some reason, the controls do not work.  Does anyone have a solution to this problem.  I don't know why the curfew time do not work.  I have another laptop that runs Windows 7 and no problems of establishment of curfews of time with her.  Is this a problem with Windows 8? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Child can bypass parental controls filter time.

My mother bought a laptop for my little brother and asked me to install the parental control for him. I activated the filter of time. However, to our surprise, my brother found a way to bypass the filter and connect to the standard user account. This is how he makes:

    1. turn on the computer.
2 force a closed hard (by pressing the Power button for a few seconds or remove the AC adapter and the battery). He repeated this step until he gets the option launch system recovery after startup.
    3. perform a system recovery.
    4. when the computer restarts after the system recovery, there immediately connects to his account. (If it does not connect inside seconds, Family Safety let him do this.)
It's amazing how smart kids can be on computers. He found this derivation because he chose the "recommended" system recovery I would not be a figure that out myself.
Any suggestion on how to prevent this?
    Thank you!

  • Parental controls does not Windows 7 times

I am using windows 7 Home and Windows Live essential 2011.  When I try to turn on the delays and app and game restrictions, the feature tells me that I have to upgrade to windows 7 and create a standard account.  The account for my children is a standard account.  I checked for updates to windows live essentials and deleted and created another standard account for my children.  A know the solution or work around for this?  In addition, my copy is "true".

    Thank you.

    Hello

I apologize for the late response. You still have the same problem? If so, could you please check if the option of Parental control appears on your control panel?

For the time limits work correctly, Parental control must be enabled. Check if the option , apply the settings is enabled.

Please make sure you have the latest version (15.4.3555.308) of Windows Live family safety, you can download the latest version from this link.

In addition, please be informed that the feature of time safely from the family has changed recently. For more information, please see this sticky post:

  • Standard user changes time clock to circumvent the time limits set in the parental controls, how to stop this?

    Original title: clock change

I put deadlines for my daughter in the parental control. my daughter just changed the clock time to get around this. It has a standard user account and I have the password to the administrator account, which she could not possibly know that I keep changing. How does do and how can I stop this happening?

The date and time system can be changed using a control panel applet - timedate.cpl file.

If you have the administrator account, you can refuse his user account access to the said folder.

    1. go to start > type cmd > press and hold shift + Enter (this will open CMD with Admin Access)
    2. on your type CMD in the command below

    Cacls timedate.cpl /p : n

    3. press ENTER.

The command will refuse access to user account in the file so that it could not change the time and date.

  • Specific times on 1200 + ca Parental Controls does not

    Hello

I recently bought from Best Buy a Linksys AC 1200 +. I love the Smart Wifi and remote application access, however, I found that the portion of the precise moments of parent controls doesn't seem to work. I chose the time I want the device to be able to access, but no matter what I do, as long as I have the parental control activated, the devices lose connectivity.  If I change it to never be blocked, it works, or if I change to always block access it works, but no matter which option I choose (white should be allowed and the blue should be blocked - I tried both) does not work.

Any ideas?  I have the latest firmware and I made sure that the device and the router are on the correct time zone and the time has come.

I'm frustrated, but I hope that this community can help!

    Thank you!

How can I remove time limits, that I've implemented on our computer by using parental controls? My computer is not stick to these times and is often blocked at random times to MY inconvenience - a real pain!

  • Parental control time limit set at 24 hours by mistake... cannot go beyond login.

Original title: restriction set at 24 hours a time... error cannot go beyond login.

We have windows Vista Home Basic.  There are 2 user ID in place, it is not used and nobody remember the password.  Another we know the password. However, my son put the limitation on duration of parental control to 24 hours by chance and we can no longer access the computer.  Whenever we tried to enter, we get the message of time restrictions.  Please let me know how we can get around that we can not get the menu system/controls.

What you wrote is not logical.

As said by Umesh P, moderator, you need an administrator account to set the time limit.
And parental controls can be set on an administrator account.
This means that you must have an admin account, you can log on. If you are the admin or in possession of an admin password.

  • Parental control: disconnection time does not

I recently created my kids computer with parental control, with the goal being to their ability to use the computer when I'm not around.  Overall, the controls seem to work fine (we have Windows 7 starter edition) except when their time has passed.  For example, I have a child allowed to 5-6 and the other 6 - 7.  6 the system is automatically hitting the first child, but it isn't really their disconnection.  So when the next kid goes to log on to the computer says that another user is currently connected.  Kid, you can't not reconnect to disconnected and kid 2 is unable to open a session.  The only way around it is to me as an administrator to log myself, which then automatically stops kid 1 on.  So I have to close the session back and then kid 2 can connect.

This isn't a system that works if I'm not in the House, of course.  Is there a way to make it 1) give kid 1 a warning 5 min. so that it knows to disconnect and to complete what she done, instead of just turn off suddenly?  It could be disastrous, of course, if a document is under development and the computer just starts without warning.     (2) actually do disconnect kid 1 before returning to the login screen?

    Thank you

    Stacie

    Hello

Unfortunately, it's by design. When you log in as an administrator you can connect to the wide of other users. Follow these steps to log on to the account with Parental control and/or any other user.

  • I have a problem with time limits in Parental control.

Original title: Parental controls: time/blocks. How it works once defined?

I just put a few times on our computer that I DON'T want my child to be on the computer.  If my child is connected when the window of blocked time arrives, what happens?  It hits them?  Only apply it is able to connect at this time?  Will get a warning that they're about to be disconnected?

    Hi trossk,

You can set time limits to control when children are allowed to log on to the computer. Time limits prevent children to connect during the specified hours. You can set the hours of different logon for each day of the week. If they are connected end their time, they will be automatically disconnected. For more information, see control when children can use the computer.

  • Parental control for iphone zone

I have parental controls on my iphones of teenagers. I can also set the AT & T data time limits. Adolescents simply change the time zone of the iphone so they can walk using data when they aren't supposed to.

How can I prevent adolescents to change the time zone on their phones?

    Soccer Mom

You can not. The time zone on the phone setting should not have anything to do with AT & T cellular data limits. Those based on time on the cell towers. Contact AT & T

Or just take the phone away from them if they can't be trusted to follow the rules.

    Hello

I won't say anything to try to 'spy' on your activities of girls on his device.

If you're worried about what pages it visits and navigate too, it is easier to set up the network to run after devices in the household.

If you chase the laptop to see the navigation history, she finds, it will change just by phone (if it has) instead and lock with pin codes and so on.
It can also easily just be set to private Mode and avoid any local history for you to check.

To configure the network, and the web pages that are available, you will find what your router and as an option, you may be able to use https://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/parental-controls/

But a better way is to focus and guide internet works and what to stay away from and so on. If it is a matter of concern.
