  Can someone please guide me to solve this problem. I imported videos a recording on HD camcorder AVCHD in my files and folders. The first clip I drag on the timeline appears in the timeline, but after that, the clips I did drag on the timeline does not appear on the secenline. It only extends the first clip in the timeline to make a big video (although in the timeline you will see them clearly). I can't work with transitions easily without being able to view Storyboard.

  You must choose the right AVCHD project preset to the start screen. New project, then select change settings and select the correct AVCHD presets project. If your audio is a sound 5.1 surround sound make sure to select AVCHD 5.1 audio project preset, if select stereo preset AVCHD project. If you select the wrong preset for your audio files, the audio will be placed on track 4 and won't present not in mode line scene. In this case, the only solution is to work in Timeline mode. You can right clcik on the empty tracks and choose to remove them to store the view of the timeline.

  In any case, to select the correct project preset should solve your problem.

• PNG image does not appear in the timeline in first Pro CC

  Hi all!

  I have created many images PNG for InDesign. I exported with transparent background. When I import into first and I double-click on it in the project, they appear as a source, and you can see the text that I created in the foreground and the background transparent. All good up to this point. However, when I add it to the timeline, the text (foreground) disappears and you will see that the background transparent.

  
  Why is this? How can I get the text in the PNG appears in the timeline panel? I want to use the png as overlays on images I have, but they don't show up.

  The sequence is larger than the png?

  Have you tried to reduce the size of png, change of position, or by creating a sequence of png?

• Brand of the clips on the timeline - not the 'time '.

  I have several dozen clips on my calendar that have been published on much longer clips/files.  I'm changing up to perhaps 20-25 clips (the best).  So, I'm going through them, I had been "mark" clips that I think only I I want to include in the final draft.  However, if I delete something I want, and/or move the clips on the timeline - the marker itself does not move - I discovered that the markers are attached at the same time on the timeline, not the clip.  I had read in a previous post, today, where Jim suggested adding the clip markers. But I think that making this 'brand' the whole clip - not the edited piece that I have on my calendar.

  Is it possible to point high/brand/label individual clips on the timeline - and who have to 'fix' the individual researcher?

  Looks like subitems could be a solution for you. Load the main element in the Source monitor. Set a pair of In/Out points to define a range of interest. Go Clip > MakeSubclip.

  The beauty of the sub-elements is that each of them appears in the project Panel and can be given a descriptive name as clip metadata. Be aware, however, that markers of metadata and clip file are saved in the file on the disk, so anything you enter in the main element or one of the subitems will be common to all instances of this master. (In case you are not familiar with the distinction between clip metadata and file metadata, just check the metadata Panel - it has three main sections: video, file and discourse analysis)

  If you give subclips to try, take a minute to study up to the difference between the soft sub-elements and hard of subitems, which are distinguished by the parameter called "Restrict MIC to a subelement limits."

  Did you put captions on the sequence and you have activated their visualization?

  

  Or did you mean subtitles and not captioning?

  You must create the subtitles and then place them on the timeline. If they don't appear, make sure that the track is selected.

• Narration will not appear in the timeline with PREL 8.0

  I tried two different microphones and can record a narration in my video.   Once I have stop recording, it usually puts the narrative down in the timeline panel.   For some reason any it won't add narration to my line of narration.  I have test the microphones on my computer so I know that both work.  When I "Add narration" and push the file, I can see that it is save and moving along my video.

  Any thoughts?

  Figured it out.  Don't know what this is called, but there is a light gray by dragging the bar that appears above all the audio and video (just real-time below the top). When you open a new file, it seems to just maybe 10 seconds by default.  Somehow that the bar has been resized to almost nothing and I did not see it.  I thought about it when I tried to move the marker in the middle of my film and record, it automatically back to the very beginning of my film every time.

  Just so that I can sleep at night, which is the clear gray bar?

  your movieclip (or a parent) who plays on the main timeline or is loaded by your swf.  If you load this movieclip (published as a swf file), you can be sure that your movieclip (or a parent) is the culprit.

  Use the movie Explorer to find all instances of your movieclip using the library for this movieclip name.  If that does not reveal the culprit, you have either made a mistake in your search or if you have a movieclip in doubles.
