To access properties such as 'Runstate.LoopIndex' in subsequences.

Ok.  I know that you can enter individual properties and pass them as parameters (which is what I do), but I was wondering how I could do with more elegance...

I have a top level sequence that calls a routine Test, and I put the property of closure of this routine.  This in turn calls a 'Report' sequence that passes the back loop to the Interface State.

I'm trying to pass the RunState object until my subsequence.  But there is no function "AsRunState", so I can't seem to access its properties.

Looks like I'm passing on the properties of 4-5 individually.

In any case, is there a way to do this?

Well, in this case there are a few options.

You can use RunState.Caller.Runstate.Caller.Runstate.LoopIndex where you reference 'Runstate.Caller' for as many levels return to the top of the list, you need to go. It's a little kludgey if you don't know how many levels you have to cross.

If you know you're from the MainSequence, then Runstate.Main.LoopIndex will give you what you want - you should be able to see almost everything in the duration of the MainSequence from there.

From ThisContext parameter has worked too - as I experimented with both methods and got the same results for LoopIndex value.

Above is possible, it remains to be seen whether or not it is a good idea to implement... use at your own risk!

Is that what you are looking for?

  • To access properties across hierarchies in a version

    Hi all

    Can someone tell me if there is a way to access the property values in a hierarchy of another hierarchy?

    I'm trying to access a property value in a different hierarchy of my current hierarchy.

    In essence, I'm trying to search for the value automatically another hierarchy and post it in my property attached to my current hierarchy (trying to establish a relationship).

    Both properties have been defined as local, and values have already been filled for nodes in the hierarchy, that I'm trying to reference.

    I tried different ways as setting properties as global nodes once for each hierarchy as a test, but nothing works.

    I want the changes made to a property of the node in a hierarchy to translate automatically into another property of node in another hierarchy.

    It's quite urgent. Appreciate your help in this matter.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Vij,

    What you can do here is to create a global property defined (Custom.CurCountCode) and chose the Data Type as node associated or associated nodes depending on how you want your design to the being — for example if the USD is used by several countries, you can keep the data as nodes, type but if it's a strict type mapping you can opt for node associated.

    Now, the use of it activate you will directly connect the nodes of the hierarchy of the currency for nodes in the hierarchy of your country and when you change the names of nodes in one of the two hierarchies it would reflect the value assigned to the Custom.CurCountCode property.

    I hope I understand your condition and this helps to solve it.

  • is there properties such as USE_ALL_WIDTH or USE_ALL_HEIGHT

    For developers,.

    I am creating my application for the java sdk native cascade...

    I want to ask about the layout cascading...

    From my understanding: class container & layout manager class in java = cascading

    In java, Manager can define his style with use_all_width or use_all_height...

    What waterfall? When I read the documentation of the waterfall, I found this layout can be set to the height or width by using an integer value (which means absolute value). It's a bit dangerous if app can be tilt.

    CMIIW

    You can use the available properties to set the fill horizontally and vertically.

    Example Code:

    Container {
        layout: StackLayout {}
        layoutProperties: DockLayoutProperties {
            horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Fill
            verticalAlignment: VerticalAlignment.Fill
        }

  • cannot access properties .parent charger with Player 11.2

    OK, so this is embaresing and my entire company suffers from this! www.doitflash.com

    the key point in my TextArea class that extends from TextField is to load external swf files and I use the property .parent of the Loader class to access the textfield with the news updates coming with 11.2 security I cannot access the parent and all crashes!

    to give you more insight:

    Imagine that we have file.swf loaded into the project using the flash.display.Loader class.

    file.swf document class, I can access the charger like this, all ok so far

    _loader = this.parent as charger

    I used to access the object TextField like this:

    _textArea = _loader.parent as an object

    now, this does not work!

    I appriciate any idea on how I can fix this...? every day that one of my clients is updating its reader to the new version, their Web site fails. I need to fix this ASAP thanks.

    I found a work around for the problem... I ' l explain here so anyone having the same problem can solve that...

    OK, I have a string with< img="" tags="" in="" it="" where="" they="" loaded="" the="" external="" swf="" files.="" the="" problem="" was="" that="" the="" loaded="" swf="" file="" could="" not="" have="" access="" to="" the="" main="" project="" which="" had="" loaded="" it="" through="" textfield.="" so="" what="" i="" did="" was="" to="" parse="" the="" string="" and="" locate="" all="" the="">< img="" tags="" and="" add="" the="" id="sth" attribute="" to="" them,="" at="" the="" same="" time,="" i="" saved="" an="" array="" of="" these="" id="">

    now, I could listen to the shipper of these external SWFs to see when they have finished loading:

    var loader:Loader = textField.getImageReference($id) as Loader;

    loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onModuleLoadDone, false, 0, true);

    Then, I created a function called 'building' in the external swf files and now I can call as func and pass a reference to the external swf TextField object

    private function onModuleLoadDone(e:Event):void

    {

    var content:* = e.currentTarget.content;

    content.construct(textField);

    }

    It works fine now. Adobe, you almost gave me a heart attack! but thanks for all your work. After I did this update in my projects, I feel as if it was the best approach I should had thought initially. It's safer now, and he made sure to swf files external unauthorized will not be able to run func in the main project...

  • Access and return of the properties of placedItem.file

    I am trying to assign properties to placedItem.file. However, whenever I try to access placedItem.file it prints / returns "undefined is not an object.

    I used the alert command to print the object e.g. alert (placedItem.file) and it prints the location of the image file. However, when I try to assign this value to a variable (var exampleName = placedItem.file) it also returns the same error.

    I also tried access under file properties, such as file.fullName and file.displayName. It returns the same error. If someone saw would be great. I really just need to return the path to an image to a variable.

    I ran the following without problem, such as you encounter.

    function test(){

            var doc=app.activeDocument;

  • RunState.ProcessModelClient. how to access the results of markets located in the loops?

    Hello

    In my sequence, I have to perform an analysis of the results before I have the MainSequence and return to the process template. Basically, I need to check made some steps has passed.

    I access the results using RunState.ProcessModelClient. Using what I have access to the list of results. I would like to write that I have access to each result but I can't because I spotted the results of steps which are curly are not accessible (they are not there); However, they are on the report.

    How is it possible? How do I access results in a loop? Where are they?

    K.

    Hello

    not too painful:

    the loop results in the usual place online, it's just the layout that will look like a little confusing:

    You use some revisions of my TestStand (you are in 3.1)

    The Runstate.ProcessModelClient is actually a copy of the space of time edit, not space running - it's the SequenceFile type, which means that even if you can see the layout of the result containers that belong to each step, they are there permanently, and not filled in this place from the moment of execution.

    At the level of the mainsequence, you're still in your client, then you can go to Locals.ResultList directly.

    In there, you have the singular element that is the result of the first and the only stage of your Mainsequence of your.

    Inside there is the. TS. SequenceCall container. It is effectivey the resultlist gait that calls (always Mainsequence) seq1 so inside that, there is an another ResultList.

    It's the ResultList for sequence "Seq1".

    Which has a single item since this sequence has only one step inside of type SequenceCall.

    [0]. TS. SequenceCall.ResultList.

    From there you can see a lot of results even if you have only 4 effective steps in this sequence.

    12 results covers:

    3 iterations of ('for' 'Test2' 'end').

    and then the last 3 items are "Test1" loop 2 times more.

    When you set a stage of the loop and include you the results of each iteration, you get these results (2 in your case) more a global success-failure based on the criteria (your care ot 100% must pass in order to study the step successful when all iterations are complete.)

    Note in your pre Expression where you change the name of the step on the fly, your labeled Test2 incremental changes the name from 'Test1' + Str (Locals.LI), and the Test1 marked step uses the same expression for this will look slightly confused that you cross your results.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you

  • How do I access my lan properties.

    usually I just go to 'manage media' and the LAN icon is there and I click right and so forth. but I don't see this lan icon more so I can access the properties

    Hello

    1. are you able to connect to the Internet?
    2 have you connected to the administrator account?
    3. don't you make changes to your machine before the problem?

    Follow the steps mentioned below and check if the problem is resolved.

    Step 1:

    As a general rule, this question must be resolved by having the last installed network driver. I suggest you to Update the network adapter driver.

    Step 2:

    Uninstall and reinstall the network cards

    Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the network card.

    a. click on start
    b. in the type of search box of start of "devmgmt.msc" and press enter
    (c) in Device Manager, expand network adapters
    d. right-click on the network adapter and uninstall.

  • To access the DOM properties added by another plugin script

    The IDML specification states the following: "If you add plug-ins that support scripting InDesign, objects, properties, enumerations, and methods may appear in the script object model, and new objects and properties may appear in the exported IDML. In addition, deletion or disabling plug-ins can modify the script and therefore object model, XML elements written in an IDML file. »

    So, is it then possible to access properties added by another plugin of your own ExtendScript when running? For example, if another plugin extends a character style to add their own attributes, could then read these properties in a script separate unconnected with this plugin? I can't get this to work. I can see the properties added when exporting to IDML, but I do not see them during an iteration on the DOM in Javascript?

    Hi szahnje,

    A plugin can expose its api to the scripting DOM, DOM idml or both. While the script DOM and DOM idml are closely related, they are not the same, then maybe the plugin does not expose the properties to the DOM, just the idml one script.

    If the plugin exposes a api for DOM scripting, then, of course you can use it. But, the plugin must be installed and enabled on the computer you run the script.

  • How to access the information in the report of a pass/fail test?

    I'll call you a LabVIEW VIs of TestStand which are configured as ' pass/fail Tests. The result of the Boolean "PASS/FAIL" of LabVIEW indicator apparently are accessed through the variable RunState.SequenceFailed of TestStand. However, I can't find a similar TestStand variable that contains the information of 'Text of the report' of LabVIEW. Not such a variable exist, nor will it take to create a?

    Hi bmihura,

    The best approach would be to use direct information from the stage itself. You can get the text of the report of the RunState.Step.Result.Report text

    In this way, you go to the step text report directly.

    Alternatively, you can store the text of the report to a variable in the parameters of the step.

    I hope that gets things moving along to you!

    Hi Nathan, the built in network Assistant/convenience store is very useful to automatically detect problems.

    Some manual checking, you can try:

    1 reset all settings in the adapter properties, such as manual IP address (must be using DHCP)

    2 disable the adapter, and then turn it back on

    3. make sure that the latest drivers are installed, use the ones on the site of real manufacturers and not a 3rd party download site.

    4. If that does not work, uninstall the card completely and reinstall - you will need the drivers available locally or on a Flash DRIVE (or a second PC to go to the internet and get them!)

    I would always start off with the built-in Wizard but...

  • Control properties of a component to another component

    Basic model of demand

    < s:Application... >

    < components: owPanel id = "oe" >

    "< text: clickableText id ="ow1">".

    < / components: owPanel >

    < components:infoBox id = "infoBoxMS" / > has buttons I want to control ow1 properties with

    < / s:Application >

    Question: How can I access properties in "ow1" (such as alpha, the border etc.) of the actionScript (via clickHandler for a button) in "infoBoxMS?"  Currently infoBox.mxml gives an error of "ow1" property not set as if he knows not how to find ow1.

    Thank you
