To find keywords to to .tiff in Vista

I have a function that I can do in Windows XP and Windows 7, but not able to do on my laptop Vista Home Basic: I used to be able to enter a customer name ie "Jones" and search by about 1000 .tiff files, and he returned the files that contain the name "Jones" IN the document.  It works on XP and 7, but my vista won't.

I think that it is a Microsoft Office program and not installed by default in 2007 and not included in 2010.

Microsoft Office Document Imaging can be downloaded and installed for free from here.
