Toggling "Align to pixel grid" to improve createOutline()

Hello, is it possible to turn off the option "Snap to Pixel Grid" programmatically in the transformation Panel? An app.executeMenuCommand hidden to do?

Looking to do this, every time the createOutline() command is called to avoid problems of accuracy of shape for small items...

just found the answer: it's the property called .pixelAligned (you can find it in the Scripting of Illustrator Illustrator Scriptingreference)

    This paragraph is very relevant,

    Objects that are aligned to pixels, but have not the segments of vertical lines or horizontal, are not changed to match the pixel grid. For example, because a rotated rectangle doesn't have a straight vertical or horizontal segments, it is not pushed to produce crisp paths, when aligned with the pixels property is set for her.

    To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

    A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

    Is it a new parameter in 14 I'm missing? Obviously it is not a totally disabling behavior there is a work around, but it of still pretty annoying and slows down my work flow. Any help or insight is appreciated.

    Step 1) disable all slam

    Step 4) shape/drawing after clicking on the dividing line. Note the forms are divided, but some are not misaligned and align it on the pixel grid is now checked in my Panel of transformation. Unchecking it does nothing to help the drawing...

    Illustrator has always used to do this! I am sad and frustrated that it doesm someone tell me what I'm doing wrong = please).

    Kevin,

    You can seek to align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck it, also uncheck align new objects to the pixel grid in the dialog box options.

    To avoid this in future documents, you can avoid the types of documents with this default value (RGB for Web, etc.), or change the default value.

  • alignment of pixels really annoying bug

    I use illustrator to sites of the model and the user interface. I did this for years. It's much faster and more flexible than photoshop. The Illustrator's pixel grid is a really cool feature, but it's really buggy, especially it is a thing he does - get all the graphics off the coast of the pixel grid when they are copied to another file. Let me explain:

    1. I have a file WITH all my UI to my website called "ui.ai". I have another file WITH my design of the home page called "home.ai".
    2. While ui.ai is made to look perfect pixel (which means that it is aligned to the pixel grid and looks sharp).
    3. I copy some elements pixelated for my other home.ai of file ui.ai.
    4. All pixels jump and line up on the grid of pixels in a weird way (it is not even line up at the gate at all).
    5. Nothing looks more pixelated.
    6. I have to select each individual item and realign them manually. = HUGE waste of time.

    Example image of the UI.ai file:

    from ui file.pngfrom ui file (zoom).png

    Images more copied the HOME.ai file:

    copy to home file.pngcopy to home file (zoom).png

    Everyone runs on this problem? I've run into it all the time! It's a pain in the end to have to "fix" this through each element and align to grid in pixels of the file. If anyone has found a work around? It would be SOOO great. Oh I'd love you forever.

    So generally the problem

    thesergie,

    Also, is given what Scott, possible the work plans (in question) are placed differently in the two documents, or misaligned with the pixel grid in home.ai? I presume that the latter may be a possibility; It is of course impossible.

    At least in the old days you could realign the artboard by DoubleClicking with the selection tool in the empty space between the leaders (when these are shown) in the upper left corner.

  • How can I make my default 'W' magic wand; Get rid of the display pixel grid

    There are two issues of interface with Photoshop user that disrupt my work flow. The first and the most important are that W now triggers the quick selection tool by default instead of (for me) much more useful magic wand. I like the idea of the quick selection tool, but I find rarely as effective as the magic wand. So I would banish the W key and let the magic wand rule without competition.

    Not as important, but remains a problem for me is the superposition of the pixel grid when zoomed in. He often obscures detail and hinders my ability to pull a good mask rather than strengthen it. I can understand how it is people who work in some areas, but for my work, it is almost never useful. Can I activate or otherwise banish him entirely?

    Thank you

    Hi London_Crockett,

    To get rid of the Quick Selection tool, you can use the toolbar edition introduced in version of Photoshop CC2015.1.

    Go to the toolbar change > drag the toolbar list of additional tools Quick Selection tool

    For the second question, go to the view menu > show > uncheck the pixel grid.

    Kind regards

  • Preferences option "vector Snap tools and transforms to the pixel grid" on the options bar

    Hello! Is it possible to put the preferences option ' Snap vector tools and transforms to pixel grid "option vector toolbar.

    I draw web-graphics and icons. I often use vector layers for scalable graphics. So, sometimes I need snaps to the pixel grid is turned on, sometimes I need it's off?

    Whenever I press Ctrl + K to open the dialog box Preferences checkbox enabled. It will be great to have shortened keyboard or button in the options bar to LENGTH fast.

    Is an idea?

    P.S. sorry for my English ^)

    You can record an Action and assign a keyboard shortcut.

    (Another option would be a Script that you could use in a panel of html5, but maybe it's not worth it).

  • The table text align to baseline grid

    Hi all

    I have a heavy text document for which I have implemented a basline grid that works very well, except when I have to put in some simple text tables, because the text inside tables is not aligning to the grid... and I can't work out why.

    Any thoughts? I use CS6 if that helps.

    I think that the problem might have been that I put tables in the entire flow with all other texts. I've separated the tables, put them in a new block of text and now it seems to work... a bit of a chore, but it's the only way I can make it work.

    Thank you guys for your help and advice.

  • How to set the alignment of the grid as "First line only" for any style of paragraph

    Hello.. Please help me.

    I have to set the alignment of the grid as "First line only" for any paragraph style.

    I use the code below to set the alignment of the grid as "all lines".

    *********************************************************************************

    TextAttributes InterfacePtr < ITextAttributes > (styleInfo, UseDefaultIID());

    AttrGridAlignment InterfacePtr < ITextAttrGridAlignment > (: CreateObject2 < ITextAttrGridAlignment > (kTextAttrGridAlignmentBoss));

    attrGridAlignment-> SetGridAlignment (Text::kGABaseline);

    textAttributes-> ApplyAttribute (attrGridAlignment);

    Here, I created the text attribute of the alignment of the grid and applied to the styleInfo of the style.

    Now, the problem is that I tried all available of Text::GridAlignmentMetric values, but none of them affect the 'first line only. Please tell me the solution of this problem. I'm short on time.

    Thanks in advance.

    You apply this attribute via kEditTextStyleCmdBoss or equivalent? If this is not the case, consider to do.

    kGABaseline is what you need. In addition (see dialogue change style to a "pipe") you will need kTAGridAlignOnlyFirstLineReportBoss - IID_ITEXTATTRBOOLEAN set to true...

  • Pixel grid - appears not

    On my mac, I have a pixel grid when I zoomed in more than 500%, but on my PC (both using CS5) I don't have the option of the grid of pixels under view > display.

    This has something to do with the graphics card in my PC and selecting "open GL" under edit.preferences?

    Thank you

    Acording to Windows Update? go to nvidia.com and make sure you really have the latest available driver. If it is then try to install some older drivers. In addition, if you have the 64 bit version of Windows XP, then better to drop under this operating system is not supported.

  • problem with alignment on the grid

    Hello

    I have a problem with the alignment on a grid. I enclose 2 photos so that you could understand the problem. It seems that when I have a "type" between the sentences, the alignment is not correct. The spacing of the grid is good for me, so I guess I should correct some parameters of the "past". How can I do?

    Your reference grid interval seems rather small. Set it to equal the attack of the text. Your text seems to be lining up at the gate, but due to the narrow spacing, it is able to align the replacement grid lines.
