Tomcat 6 stop running during execution of Oracle XE

Hi all
=========
My Env:
Ubuntu 10
=========
After looking for a day and work, I managed to install Tomcat 6, Cocoon & Java files successfully. Here's my problem.
I have an existing Oracle XE running with Apex 3.2.
When I start Tomcat 6 it starts fine, but in a few seconds it stops and displays the message "servlet engine Tomcat is not running but pid file exist.". Can I stop & start this or restart it, but the same problem occurs after a few seconds with the same message (I know that checking the status). During this time running, I can access it via the browser of 8180 (I changed the port 8080 to 8180). Apex uses port 8080. Meanwhile, I have no problem with Apex (set to run at startup).

When I stop the Oracle database and start Tomcat 6 it works very well, it continues to function perfectly. Even once when I starts the database, I am unable to Apex access via port 8080 and the message "Unable to connect to the server 127.0.0.1:8080."

Can someone help me please?

Thank you very much
Naushad

Hi Naushad,

you have probably missed a setting to migrate the tomcat Port 8180. The behavior you describe matches that I expect a port conflict - or the other service works perfectly when it's "only", but does not work if it started before.
You can fix this on both sides. Reconfiguring the port your EPG hosts your APEX may be a little easier. You just have to connect as sys and to execute the following block:

begin
  dbms_xdb.sethttpport(8081);
end;
/
commit;

Change the port to any value you want.
To change your port Tomcat configuration, you have probably changed the next song in your server.xml file

You'll find other ports used by the Tomcat in this file as well. Make sure that you do not have a conflict with another service.
I use a Tomcat beside XE on Ubuntu 8.04. Since I had to reconfigure the default SSL Port Tomcats (8443 was already used by another web server on this machine), I moved all of Tomcat to 100XX 80XX ports, keeping the EPG on port 8080, and it works fine for me.

  • Can I create multiple dynamic entries during execution?

    Can I create multiple dynamic entries during execution?

    Oracle 11g
    Request Express 4.0.2.00.06

    Here's my problem:
    We have a table that contains metadata about the files (paper or electronic).
    We hope that we can need more columns in the table at some point and do not want to change the table or the application.

    So to do this I would like to create:

    A table called TBL_FILE with columns:
    NUMBER of TBL_FILE_ID (this will be the primary key)
    TBL_FILE_NAME VARCHAR2 (1000) (this will be the name of the file)

    A second table will be called TBL_FILE_META with columns:
    NUMBER of TBL_META_ID (this will be the primary key)
    NUMBER of TBL_FILE_ID (this will be the key to forign to the files table)
    TBL_META_COLUMN VARCHAR2 (30) (this is what would be the name of the column if it existed in TBL_FILE)
    TBL_META_VALUE VARCHAR2 (1000) (this is the value of this record and the column "would be")

    If a person can have as many meta data in the file to add columns to the table.
    The problem is how can I allow users to add as much data as they wish with them having to re develop page.

    Other things to note is that we would like this be on one page.
    I know how to add we can create inserts several rows using a SQL (editable report).
    However the TBL_META_VALUE in the TBL_FILE_META column will sometimes be a selection list and other times one text box or a numeric field.
    So I don't see now a SQL (editable report) would work for this and I can't create a table of elements on the page running I can?

    No idea how I might accomplish this? Is there a better way to do this?

    It is a term or a name for what I'm doing by creating these "virtual" columns in another table?
    I found this method looking at the workflow tables Oracles.

    Creation of dynamic Page elements is not available. You must create surplus items and hide/show, etc. But you cannot change the element Type. Overall, too many restrictions in this approach.

    The limit of 100 points will hit you if you go with extra page element. With the form of tables that should not be a limitation, unless you're exceeding the limit of 50 APEX_APPLICATION point. Yes, you can do it. Update report / query in a table can be built from the metadata using the SQL query that returns the PL/SQL function . It will be a bit of coding in PL/SQL where you use metadata and metadata of Meta data to restore your SELECTION with the right APEX_ITEMs. He might have a decrease in performance associated with it, but it will not be a serious degradation.

  • modify VI during execution

    Dear users of LabView,

    I have a fairly general question about the development of a project, which requires a continuous control of the material. To be more precise, I develop LabView control and DAQ software for calorimeters in high volume in the last 2 years. Such a system requires several PID controls, and it has many subsystems. Because of the large heat capacity, it takes about 3-4 days to launch the system. So if I need to edit for example something in control of the final of a specific subsystem, I stop the LabView code, I have change the specific part, I restart the system, I wait for 3 days, and then I can see the result of my changes.

    My question is the sort of General: what is the good, let's say "best practice" to avoid such a dead time?

    Is it possible to change a VI during execution?

    I understand that if I run the independent screw, that dealing with subsystems, I could avoid this problem. But if I already have a compact 'main' VI, including all the subVIs, what can I do?

    It would be nice to have a sort of "hot swapping" feature in LabView, so during the execution of main VI of my project, I could change the Subvi that I want, and when it is ready to activate, the runtime would swap with the old version.

    Thanks for the tips and advice!

    Best wishes

    Hello

    It all depends on how works your vi...

    The only way I see is to use dynamic calls: a vi called dynamically is editable even if appellant vi is running.

    If you change the callee until the caller calls the vi vi.

    Is how the appellant under vi (this includes the values of connectors and run the VI):

  • change the frequency of the signal during execution

    Hi, I'm working on a VI to calculate excess of signal I think VI seems to be good (not sure) but now my problem is

    change the frequency during execution, which I am not able to do only when I stop and run the vi frequency changes... pls

    someone help me I tried to put in an event... but no use... maybe iam missing something pls help me...

    I noticed that you have some time a loop around the entire block diagram - I'm not entirely sure why that is.  The way you have your VI wrote that the two inner loops will never come out unless there is an error-'stop' buttons are hidden.  Thus, the outer loop is not do anything for you.

    Once you take it, it is easy to see why you cannot change frequency.  It is defined once, outside of the loops and so never gets checked again.  The best way to resolve this, in your case, is to use registers with shift on the upper loop and check if the value of the frequency has changed since the last iteration.  If so, generate a new waveform and feed DAQmx writing instead.

    See the version annexed to your main VI for what I mean.  (I also replaced the controls to stop with one that is visible and which will stop the two loops without your duty to hit the button abandon.) I'm also an error on the DAQmx read in the loop at the bottom, but I'm sure it will work fine on your equipment.

    See you soon,.

  • ORA - 06502:numeric or of value errORA-04088: error during execution of trigger

    I received the following error message by entering a number in the maximum value (i.e. 9 999 999.) allowed in a data entry form that is distinct from the basic form:

    ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or error number precision value: ORA-06512 too big: "< owner >. < trigger >", line 194 ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger '< owner >. < trigger >.

    Where < owner > is the schema name and < Trigger > is the name of the trigger. The block of data in the application for participation is based on a database table, and the sum of all the values entered (with a maximum value of 99.999.999.) appears in the form of Basic. A grand total of this amount along w / other totals on the basic shape is also displayed with a maximum value defined as 999 999 999. Only, I get the above error message when the total is greater than 99999999. If the total is less than or equal to 99.999.999, the basic form works very well. Why?

    I checked all the attributes of the database columns and form fields and everything seems to be okay, and I'm out of my mind. I desperately need your help to solve this problem quickly because the pressure is on...

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    >

    Apparently, Oracle database truncates the decimal points and only update the value of 9 digits without giving errors, but the form of Oracle application is more picky and it generates forms and Oracle error messages when you run the application. It seems that there is a difference when executing the sql commands in the Oracle database and execution of these Oracle Forms application controls. Do you agree?

    Yes

  • With the help of a snapshot or a clone of LUN replicated during execution of an RP

    Hello

    MRS. "tutorials" for MRS 1.0 indicates that when you run an RP, replicated Lun become the primary LUNS and snapshots or clones are NOT used.

    I want to use a snapshot of the LUN being replicated even when running (IE do not stable) a recovery plan.  This is because if for some reason any recovery fails and data is corrupted during the recovery process, I still have replicated original LUNS to fall back on.

    Is it possible to use a snapshot or a clone of LUNS replicated during execution of an RP (as is the case when you TEST a RP)?

    What is a characteristic of the RS 4?  Does depend on case by case basis on the SRA installed?  Or it is absolutely NOT possible with RS 4?

    Concerning

    Alfar

    SRM is has visibility into the storage (by the SRA) Bay, is not possible to "trick" it and give it captures instant instead of the LUN.

    During the failover SRM breaks replication and promotes the LUN, so I don't see how you can stop the process.

    Optionally, you can take a glance to the replica LUNS before begins the failover process.

  • masking steps during execution

    I have a sous-suite that I point the user to when asked to isolate a card failure.  To give them some flexibility, I got a popup that gives them a certain number of options (see attachment).  I have an m.o. that indicates the individual steps these select/run (i.e. '1' or '3' in the png).  Control flow (denoted by '2') is the noise they don't really need to worry and may / will cause confusion (and possibly problems for me if they select them accidentally).  Is there a way to hide these measures flow during execution control so that the user sees '1' and '2' (and other similar 'valid' selections?

    If there wasn't a need explicit to have the flow control logic, then I'd be tempted to compact all in the post of the Popup Message action.

    By setting the Popup Message Action to go to the step, , use Custom Condition (TRUE):

    And by using the following Expression:

    Step.Result.ButtonHit == 1? RunState.Sequence.Main ["MR_RPack_R55"]. UniqueStepId:
    Step.Result.ButtonHit == 2? "" "RunState.Sequence.Main ["End_PCI_Isolation"]." UniqueStepId:
    Step.Result.ButtonHit is 3? RunState.Sequence.Main ["MR_R103"]. UniqueStepId:
    Step.Result.ButtonHit is 4? "" "RunState.Sequence.Main ["PCI_Intf_PT"]." UniqueStepId: «»

    It should be appropriate level following the Popup Message.

    (SequenceFile attached).

    I hope this helps.

    You are

    It looks like
    as you may be running it in Interactive Mode, which means that you are viewing

    that correct?  If so, you could try to create a VI on your host
    Open a FPGA reference and communicate with the FPGA programmatically rather than interactively.
