Too much space between the div/container tags?

http://kansascitycrates.com/antiques.html

I am rewriting my company Web site and can not find the setting to move my top containers 2 (boxes) closest to the header / horizontal spry menu bar?

Specifically, I want to reduce the space above and below the graphics of title 'Examples of cash' and 'antiques '.

Thank you in advance, I read all day yesterday about absolute positioning and the Divs, but can't get my head around how to apply it to my boxes.

and let... How can I put the second container closer to the bottom of the container you just fixed?

Space that occurs between the bottom of the slide show image and two small pictures below, right, one being the Facebook icon, seems to be as a result of the javascript that works the slide show.

What space we're talking about?

Afraid it might be something that would be embarrassing fix. As it is I see in Firefox the spacing looks like not unusual.

    Hello

    I work with the universal theme and my client is also enthusiastic about is that I am.

    I observed, this universal theme calculated the margin of the happy body at the end of the rendering and adds something like 100 px space between the menu bar and the content body.

    Many layouts which seems well - for some, it's a little strange.

    Is there a mechanism to place content in the title of body (which would allow almost exactly fill my requirement) or to stop this behavior?

    Or is this just a RTFM issue and I did not foud the manual jet?

    Concerning

    Sebastian

    Thx for your return. I tried to get a workspace APEX on the fly; but he has failed.

    So I had time to check.

    I used to write Javascript Code on Page 0 in the header after regions before putting them in files from APEX 4.0.

    As a result, Universale APEX 5 theme to a misinterpretation of the provision. "Container" (of the region

    ) was placed directly after the header section before the menu bar.

    Then the calculation of the provision made the rest...

    So I moved the "Javascript" - regions in the page footer Section.

    Now, the layout is fine.

  • Why space between the divs?

    First of all I am more than a copier and paste person then a web site designer.

    I created a page layout, but have a space between the header which contains an image of the logo and a background image.  The logo is in the html code and the background of the header is in the css.  I put the css in the head section, so I wouldn't have to upload a separate .css file.  Also, how would I make the navigation menu appears as soon as the last link or nexus 7 sample is pushed to the bottom of a line?

  • How to get rid of the space between the div tags in Safari?

    Hello.  I'm designing a website with CSS and there is a space appears between two divs seen in Safari, but not in IE (the space appears between the header at the top tag and the container below. I spent hours trying to solve this problem, without success, and I am really frustrated. I am new to DW and not very good at code, so if someone can please shed a light on how to solve this problem, I would be very grateful.

    I have attached the page in question. Any help much appreciated!

    I hate this rule since it removes the default margins of everything.  But you're definitely on the right track.  What is happening is that the margins by default of the first and the last tag in the DIV does NOT collapse as it should and is pushing out.  You can fix this in a number of ways, including the way you suggested.  Another way would be to complete some padding the divs, or a border for the divs, or just set the margins on these specific tags (those in the divs) to zero.  For example, try this code with and without the style sheet embedded in Safari-

  • Space between the Divs

    Greetings-

    I'm having a problem with the Dreamweaver template to "oneColFixCtrHdr" (which also appears in a few messages before)

    A 20 pixel vertical unexplained gap - that is present when the initial template is open in Dreamweaver, remains both in Design view, as well as in the rendered browser page. Here is my page of the project:
    http://www.browher.com/new-Master3.htm

    I can't find specs of padding or margin or unnecessary spaces in mode code «»

    I would like the Divs to stack vertically, so I don't have to 'wheel-and-deal' for an embroidery around the page.

    Thank you very much.

    Lee Gardinier.

    This problem has been corrected (indirectly) by Nadia Perré when she suggested adding a float: specification of left to the incriminated in the post DIV

    Title of the topic: the unwanted space between divs in Netscape, created on 2007-05-28 11:47:03

    I've added Float Left to the MainContent DIV and VOILA! disappeared from the spaces above and below - the page layout looks perfect (IE) thank you Nadia! (11 months later)

  • remove the space between the divs

    Hi people,

    Is it possible to remove the space between my fluid layout divs? This is the page: http://primerestaurant.co.nz/new/queenstownfood.html and this is what it looks like in my Dreamweaver workspace: http://i.imgur.com/81Hdjb0.png

    I want to bring the menu div and text until you reach the divs, address and picture. There is no fill (that I can see) or the margins, which would be keep so far.

    Thank you in advance for advice.

    JO

    Add this to the top of your text.css file:

    * {

    margin: 0;

    padding: 0;

    -moz-box-sizing: border-box;

    -webkit-box-sizing: border-box;

    box-sizing: border-box;

    border: 1px dotted Red; / * for test purposes * /.

    }

    It tells me that the content is pushed to the bottom of the EasyRotator element.

  • How to store games so that they do not take too much space on the hard drive (XP Prof). And how do I know what files are 'useless' before I remove them?

    In very simple terms please

    Some games offer the opportunity to install some files only when you are setting them up, others not.  There is nothing you can do to force a game to use more or less hard disk space it wants to use.

    Clean 'files' is a losing proposition.  Unless you're the type who has dozens of movie files to several gigabytes of each hard drive there is no way to clean up "the files" in quantities reasonable for free hard drive space.

    It seems that if your hard disk becomes full or is full and should be replaced by a larger.  It is the only real solution to the problem, if so.  Get a bigger hard drive, transfer your current installation of Windows itself and be happy.

  • Paragraph of body too much space, do the cells in a table

    I can't find a way to make the body paragraph does not place!

    The first cell of my table at the scale of the column is moved down by 2pt (smallest font size I can put to the body).

    I tried defining progressive space above and below the FMP to negative values and the column fill/outline.

    Is there some way I can get rid of this paragraph of the body or an another workaround to make cells align properly?

    BodyPara.png

    The dots, just above the left cell is the body. Note how the cells left and right align...

    Create a paratag special features (for example, ' anchor') in order to maintain the table insertion point. The value that to have a negative space below equal to the spacing of the body line.

    In table designer, set the table format to have the same negative space above, as in the paratag "anchor".

    This should get rid of any extra space in front of the table.
