Toshiba 32BL502B - sound of television continues to go off

I have a Toshiba 32BL502B 32 inch Widescreen HD Ready LED TV and the sound continues to go off. Toshiba informed and they informed me that he needs a software update. They sent the electronic key with the update that called on it and I followed the instructions several times and it didn't work. Toshiba informed and they said it takes it to an authorized Center. Now, the TV is only 2 years so it should not repair. It is not 24/7, to a few hours a day.

I have to keep a fan on TV and it seems to fix the problem. So there is a cooling problem somewhere Toshiba will accept that there is a problem with their product? I doubt it very much. This is the 2nd I had, the first was to send back market do not at all. Now when it needs to be replaced, which I think could be very soon, I will not get another Toshiba.

Everything we buy today are mass products and most of them works fine but some of us have bad luck and get the product which show a hardware failure and don t work correctly, especially when the warranty has expired.

I hope Toshiba service will set your TV and everything will be OK again.

    At the moment the Toshiba Vista tools and utilities are not available for download.

    Any help appriciated - even how to install it by hand (I don't want to reinstall Windows again for VS).

    I never received all of the Toshiba but only downloaded files from the driver page. I think that the utility has been compressed as the other drivers on the page of Tosh and you must decompress it before you perform an installation.
    You can save the zipped file anywhere on the HARD drive and then unzip this package.

    The new folder should appear with the Virtual Sound mentioned.
    In this folder, you should find an exe file (I hope).

    Simply run the exe file and follow the instructions

    When I bought the system, it came loaded with application of 'Virtual Sound' of Toshiba, which has replaced the standard Microsoft Volume control app in the XP taskbar (bottom right of the screen). Now, the 'Volume Control' standard app appears in the taskbar.

    Try right-clicking on the application. Maybe you'll get an option to place in the taskbar

    I recently bought a receiver SONY STR-DH130.  As with my previous receiver (an old Kenwood 3090) I have connected it to the top so that the sound of my SONY's Trinitron TV through the receiver to separate the speakers.  However, unlike with my Kenwood 3090, I can't control the volume separately to the speakers.  I can only control the volume of the receiver speakers via switch on the satellite to the receiver.  The sound of the television is stronger than my receiver speakers and smother them.  Therefore, I don't get a good stereo separation.  With my Kenwood 3090, I could put the TV on mute and listen to the sound of the TV through my receiver speakers (which are much better).  Any way to do cela with the SONY STR-DH130.

    If your audio connection cords catch AUDIO OUT of the Sony KV24FV12 TV to the AUDIO IN ports of your STR-DH130 A / V receiver then you can turn off the TV speaker, AUDIO OUT option FIXED value so that you can adjust the volume of the TV via the remote control of your receiver. (see pages 19 and 20 of the TV Manual)

    Check the control panel | Power options and try to disable the screen saver and see if that fixes the problem.  If not, try to address some of the other power options to keep things to turn off automatically if the computer is not in use (if it's just to play music with no user interactivity, and which is considered to be not used by power options).
