  You have a few options in my opinion please find the steps below may help you solve the problem.

  1) click Start in the search box type Recovery Manager, click it then select Yes on the user access control, then select I need immediate help and then select driver and recuperation recovery of an application, and select the Wireless driver and install it.

  (2) try doding of restoring a system to the date where unit was working fine.

  SATA controller is downward compatible, you can use SATA I or SATA II HDD.
  It is important that you would use SATA 2.5 HDD. The size is not very important for 500 GB configuration issues should be ok too.

  What you need is 2.5 SATA HDD and it may be Toshiba but it may also be of some other manufacturers. You don't need anything special. If possible consult your dealer and they can help you choose one that suits.

  Now, when you need a new HARD drive maybe you should think about upgrading with SSD. Disc SSD is much faster and use of SSD with your laptop will rapidly increase the performance of s for laptop.

  I think that it should be possible to upgrade the 80 GB HARD disk.
  I put t known what HDD IDE controller was built in, but it should support the LBA 28 bits and, therefore, up to 128 GB HARD drive should be recognized.

  But this is only my personal opinion anyway it s worth a try

  I guess the HARD SATA 40 GB drive supports a 5400 RPM.
  I think you could use a 40 GB, 60 GB, 80 GB and a 100 GB HARD drive.
  But I think the 5400 RPM is higher because many HARD disk faster could produce more heat and this could lead to overheating problems.

  Therefore use the 5400 RPM HARD drive, and you should also get a very good data transfer performance.

  Satellite A210 uses SATA hard drives and you need a new HARD drive with SATA interface. You can buy each HARD drive you want, for example 160 or 320 GB. On interface SATA there is no capacity limit.

  In addition, most SATA HDDs have already SATA2 interface but its compatible downgrade to SATA1.
  I would have preferred a HARD disk at 5400 RPM. Of course, you can buy a HARD drive with 7200 RPM, but they produced more heat and noise. For most of the applications are pretty 5400 RPM.

  I have good experiences with Hitachi and Seagate hard drives.
