Toshiba Satellite with no sound Win 7 HP running

I have recently upgraded the OS on my Toshiba Satellite from Vista HP SP2 from Win 7 HP.  During the upgrade, I've changed the HARD drive to a SDS-more on this later.  During the successful installation of Win 7 HP-Microsoft really improved the installation process (I remember Windows 3.1 and the sequential insertion without end of the diskettes).  The new system works like a charm EXCEPT waking the computer from sleep.  The noise disappeared.   I've updated;  rolled back;  reinstalled audio drivers to the original manufacturer driver.  Still no positive result.  The only resolution is to reboot which takes all of about 30 seconds with the SDS.  This is not really acceptable since everything I'm getting must be closed/re-opened when the laptop is back.

I don't mean to change to another manufacturer of the computer, I want to solve this problem.  I'm tenacious, I'm sure that if I'm having problems others are also good too.  We put our collective thinking caps together to solve this problem.

Hogwash. It is misleading.

You can use the tab Ccleaner registry with no ill effects. You also have the option to go back IF you have a problem. It is a registry cleaner that IS safe to use. If not, why is it so popular and widely recommended?

It can also get rid of a lot of scrap surplus registry strings where UN-installers did not fully do their job.
However, for the Post Op number two is the way to go. Go to the Toshiba website, look for the support page for your machine, download and install the specific audio drivers for W7. If there is none, you can try installing the Vista drivers in compatibility mode - you can get a certain amount of nombreauses.
See you soon,.

    Contact Toshiba.

The starting point for all Toshiba Recovery option is the Toshiba Acclaim self-service page, which includes a link to recovery media .

If your recovery partition is intact, you can get detailed instructions of two separate pages:

    • To restore the original configuration of Windows using the Toshiba Recovery Wizard, follow the instructions of the support Bulletin 98082971.
    • To use the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator utility to create your own reinstallation disks, see support Bulletin 98082984.

If none of these options is viable, go on the recovery of Acclaim support page and enter your serial number to begin.

  • Any way to load Vista on a new hard drive on a Toshiba Satellite with a broken cd player? Help!

I dropped a laptop Toshiba Satellite A215 SS818 three year, upstairs. The hard drive and CD drive are damaged. I replaced the hard drive, and with the advice of a store of large surface, I bought an external pioneer CD/DVD reader/burner-usb 2. I think I need to download DirectX9 and install the latest drivers from device WHQL also, according to the requirements on the box.

Duh - I realized, I can't use it to install the OS if the player needs software first downloaded to the laptop (didn't think it out while in a hurry in the middle of the store).

Is it possible to get this OS installed via other external means?

My problem is that there is no sound in the right speaker.

    * Headphone/onboard speakers work very well
    * I have updated its (Realtek AC97) card drivers
Creative speakers work fine with my I - Pod
Creative speakers work fine with my laptop less expensive/Sour.

I have experimented with the settings of his Panel, including settings of Toshiba virtual sound without success.

    any help would be appreciated.

Closer examination, I noticed that there is a slight (millimeters) overlooking 'lip' above the headphone jack.

The creative speaker comes with a heavy input jack which gets partially blocked by this fake - my input cable using cheaper "thinner" solved my problem.

  • Satellite Pro A40 - sound skips when loading programs

    PC: Toshibe Satellite Pro A40
Sound card drivers: Soundmax integrated digital audio

    Hello

When I bought my Toshiba Satellite Pro A40 my audio is not affected by loading programs and any other activities that could slow down my computer.

I had to resinstall windows a few months back when my HD crashed.

I reloaded all my drivers etc. and installed itunes.

When I play music or any audio I listen to jump seriously when loading programs or when processes are performed on my computer.

This used to be the case, I tried to change my settings from quicktime to run in safe mode, I even now deleted quicktime and itunes that I thought it was the source of the problems.

Nothing worked, my sound is still seriously affected when my processor is busy

I uninstalled, reinstalled my sound card drivers, but nothing has worked...

I would really appreciate it if you have all the settings I could change to stop this problem.

My voice through my microphone breaks a lot, so the people at the other end of a VOIP call can barely hear me... it's driving me crazy!

    Hello

The product key on a computer that has Windows 8 pre - install is embedded in the BIOS of the motherboard. Is no longer a sticker with the product key.

When you upgrade to the final version of the free Windows 8.1, activation will be automatic, and use the onboard product key.

  • Satellite A300D-16N: sound like metal with a lot of cracks

    Hallo!

I've updated lately from Vista 32 bit to Win 7 32 bit on my Satellite A300D-16n.
Now, I have a few sound issues - looks like metal with a lot of cracks.

I've updated my Bios and wifi, graphics and sound driveres are also known as latest as says win7

It seems that there is some kind of conflict beetwen pilots or problem with sound oversteer
I don't know how to solve this problem.

    Can you help?

    Hello

I got this Toshiba doc on the sound distortion.
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9702NO0000R01.htm

But this is related to the Win XP you are using Win 7

However, can be a good tip.

Otherwise I recommend you to disable the internal microphone, I had a sort of background noise on my laptop.
I could turn off the microphone in the control panel-> sound

By the way; have you noticed that using headphones?

  • Toshiba Satellite: Toshiba Satellite - no sound

I'm so tired of trying the same thing over and over again in order to get the sound on my Toshiba Satellite laptop. When I try to play music, everything seems to work fine, except no sound from internal speakers or headphones. In the device Mgr it was simply listed as yellow device-no high definition audio marks, etc. I noticed that when I stay on the audio icon, it says headphones instead of speakers and it keeps defaulting to 67% in volume. It has been activated and of course Windows is unable to find a better driver. I used each troubleshooting tool that I could find. Finally, I decided to uninstall the device HD Audio and download Realtek audio device. Well, all of a sudden my "speaker" icon returned instead of headphones. I'm so excited until I noticed that my newly installed audio device has already been set to 67 percent in volume and my despair, I see things playing and that this device works properly, permits, etc. etc. I tried the activation of the service, I tried command prompt, reset the defaults in the bios. I recently installed a different operating system, so no restore beyond beginning of the problem points and no option for total recovery. I went through the Microsoft tools and forums, Toshiba, Realtek, Conexant and so on. I don't know because my teenage son decided to take off the stickers on the back, so far as I know is exact Toshiba Satellite model laptop. Everyone always tells me the same solutions, but, first of all, I'm pretty tech savvy and knew to try in the first place most of their suggestions and also knew that it did not help. It's so frustrating because you'd think there was someone out there who could tell me why I have no sound. And Yes, each external switch, etc I can find, the volume control is turned on.

    Help!

    Hello

I don'r think they could not help. Anyway, please try to activate the playback device

    1. a click right icon "speaker" (right)
    2. Select playback device
    3. click right speakers
    4 activate and as default
    5. click apply/OK

    Best regards and good luck.

Note: I think that this machine could be to less than 6 years and can be taken in the hardware problem account. Please check with a repairman.

    Hello

You can order a keyboard with available in English to a local Toshiba ASP.
Or you can view certain Web pages of the auction to get a second hand keyboard.

The pilots could be downloaded from the European pilot page Toshiba. L300-2CZ belongs to PSLB8E so you can check the drivers that are released for PSLB8E L300 series

    Hello

What doesn work sound t? Only the operating system Windows sound doesn t work or also you don t have the sound output if play you CDs or watch DVDs?

To me it looks ;) entries damaged registry and/or files of the OS.
What about the new operating system installed?

It would be very interesting to know if it happens on the new OS installed since the Toshiba Recovery CD.
