Totaltime reading FLV inconsistencies

Problems with the FLVPlayback instance in AS2.  I use progressive download, and found inconsistencies with reading totatTime.  In flash player 11.9, it works fine, but in 10.3 that it returns not always causing problems in my reading.  If anyone has experienced this problem and know a workaround solution?

It is well known that your video must have the totalTime in its metadata or totalTime returns NaN.

the solution is to fix the metadata of the video or to assign a default value.

  • Read FLV in the drive using an external button

    I'm working on a presentation video where a "pop-up" window displays a warning, by "agreeing", the "pop-up" disappears and the video starts to play. The FLV file which will play has a buffer of 20s on it and the video will be "pre-load" or buffering in the background, that the Viewer is reading the warning. I currently have the FLV settings in the Inspector of components such as 'autoPlay = false' "bufferTime = 20" "contentPath = video.flv" "skin = StealExternalAll.swf' 'totalTime = 290". "." I have autoPlay set to false so that if it takes more time for the Viewer to cross the warning you need to the first 20 seconds to load, then the video does not play when the warning is still in place. Should what actionscript I put on the 'accept' button to check the "play" button in the StealExternalAll.swf without having to click on the play button? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    I was able to understand by browsing some of the other threads. To make an external button controls the playback of a FLVPlayback component function, simply use the following text:

    myVid.play ();

    Put this piece of code in the layer actions within the function of the button and replace "myVid" by the name of your FLVPlayback component instance.

    Example:
    accept_btn.onRelease = function () {}
    _root.popUpWindow_mc._visible = false;
    _root.summitVideo.play ();
    };

    decline_btn.onRelease = function () {}
    getURL ("javascript:history.back ()");
    };

    Use a listener to your flv to finish the game.  You can check the class flvplayback for your version of actionscript for the code.

  • problem reading FLV/fla.

    I am a rookie in flash, but I'd like think I learn fast.  I built a flash drive that has a lot of external flv videos.  The functions of player perfectly when played in flash with test movie function.  He plays both deamweaver when it is imported the .html file.  The problem is once the player is transferred to a site with all the files in the same folder as the .html of the charges and the flash file works perfectly, but the videos do not load.  The skin of the load of videos, but the area where you would be able to look through the video has a green hair looking at the thing as it would be to download the videos and the videos don't load ever.  I have being debugged it and it came without error.  So now I just for people who have more experience than me with it.

    I'd be happy to send a link or swf file which, if it can help to see where the error is.  I think it's a few lines of code that I am not aware should be in my file. I leave to the experts.  Any help would be welcome.  Thanks again in advance.

    clear your cache and repeat the test.  I see videos in ff and ie.

  • Can read FLV bar not disappear?

    I have some flv embeded in my site and I want to be able to navigate between them without the PlayBar dissappearing when I switch between videos. I do that now with buttons navigate to frames where each flv.

    Thank you

    Seems to me that you must use a single component FLVPlayback. Assuming that
    the instance of your component is named myVideo, you can change the video
    appearing in the component with the following actionScript code:

    myVideo.contentPath = "someVideo.flv";

    I hope this helps.

  • Video of the loop inside the instance to read .flv

    I have a clip that needs a loop within a clip in Flash. Could someone point out the code to paste in the ActionScript window? The .flv doesn't have any skin on it. I did what I can put the video file outside of the Flash animation.

    I found the script on the Flash forum. "flvPlayer" is the name of the INSTANCE that you give to the .flv.

    Import fl.video.VideoEvent;
    flvPlayer.addEventListener (VideoEvent.COMPLETE, videoFinished);
    function videoFinished(event:Event) {}
    flvPlayer.play ();
    };

  • Reading FLV, source does not

    I don't know why the videos are not playing in my web application.

    I added the f4v mime type to the server

    I have triple checked the paths and watched videos online.

    URL: http://appesl.englishfreeonline.com/ videos are is assets /... check the source below

    When I clear the cache and load the userL.f4v first, he plays.

    If I try to load any video first of all it doesn't.

    Also if I load a video after the first loading userL.f4v... well they still do not play.

    Any ideas? Here is the source code:

    import flash.display.MovieClip;

    import flash.events.MouseEvent;

    Import fl.video.VideoEvent;

    Import fl.video.FLVPlayback;

    public class info CME extends MovieClip {}

    public void mcInfo() {}

    flashCards.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, maps)

    training.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, trainingL)

    user.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, wear)

    }

    private void cards(e:MouseEvent):void

    {

    Player.Stop ();

    Player.source = ' assets/flashCards.f4v ";

    Player.Play)

    }

    private void trainingL(e:MouseEvent):void

    {

    Player.Stop ();

    Player.source = ' assets/trainingL.f4v ";

    Player.Play)

    }

    private void userL(e:MouseEvent):void

    {

    Player.Stop ();

    Player.source = ' assets/userL.f4v ";

    Player.Play)

    }

    }

    all your compiled code is in your swf file.  Anyway, you attempt to load your c drive trainingL.f4v.  you have probably navigated to using the properties panel when the flvplayback component is selected.

    Hello

    I suggest you use the preferred search engine to download the software or the drive to read .flv files.

  • Is there another SOLUTION FOR READING FILES .flv in addition to PLAYER in time REAL?

    Recently, I upgraded from Real Player cloud both Real Player on two desktop computers. A computer kept thousands of thumbnails of the video while the other did not. I confirm in this forum and has received several possible solutions, which did not work. Also, I confirm with Real Player and received several, almost identical solutions also failed to solve the mystery. Real Player always has a constant search for the answer. I have to pronounce on the HP computer with the missing thumbnails by doing a system recovery to factory specifications. Returned all the missing thumbnails and all is well except for one, and it's that I don't have reinstall Real Player/Real times. Windows Media Player plays the majority of the thousands of videos, but there are still hundreds that are unplayable without Real Player/Real times. My question is, ' is there a safe format to install other than Real Player/Real times to read .flv files without jeopardizing other files? Also, is there a reason why Microsoft Gets a built in-house audio/video download system rather than having to resort to a third party outside? Thank you.

    Yes > VLC will easily play flash files.

  • Why are the actual FLV Play Back wider than my video clip controls

    Hello

    I created a video clip renders as a wmv file.

    I then covered to FLV format with Flash Media Encoder CS5.

    When I import video into Flash CS5 using either / import of video files

    or by clicking on the icon of the source in the components panel read FLV

    the left and right sides of the component are wider than the video clip real about 20 pixels.

    Like the game, I would support controls to be of the same width as the video clip.

    Please see screenshot below-

    Hello

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    Looks like the problem was something to do with the settings I chose when you return

    my video clip in WMV.

    I exported the first Pro under Microsoft DV AVI video then converted

    It FLV in Adobe Media Encoder and playback component is now the same

    width as my video.

  • How can I stop CHKDSK from running on startup?

    CHKDSK turned on somehow and now every time I start my Pc it runs this program.  It is on my hard drive and takes a long time to startup!  How can I stop the program from running at startup?

    The next time your system starts and installs, you should check the bit of impurity of the volume as follows:

    Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    cmd

    Click OK to open the command prompt window.

    To query the bit of impurity on drive C, type:

    fsutil dirty query C:

    The sample output:
    Volume c is dirty
    Volume C: is dirty

    Type "exit" to close the command prompt window.

    Is your disc dirty or it is not dirty?    If you have more than one volume, check all out them.

    A volume is marked usually dirty of a power outage or something like using the power button to restart the system.  One of this kind of thing has happened before this problem?

    The command chkntfs /d to clear a chkdsk waiting you plan yourself, but it does not clear the dirty bit.

    The command chkntfs /X C: never say XP check the reader for inconsistencies again and perhaps not a good idea since the reader may really need that chkdsk to run on it.  If the dirty bit is just NOT clear, no matter what you do, your HARD disk may be failing / failed.

    The only way to clear the dirty bit is a success of chkdsk /r and if she will not clear at the start of your system, I would run it from the XP Recovery Console so you can watch it run and if you like, run it again until it runs its own.  You cannot check the good bit of impurity of the XP Recovery Console, but you can see what chkdsk/r.

    Since we don't know anything about your system, here are some instructions for making a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console and from there, you can run chkdsk/r until it comes clean.

    Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

    If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

    This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

    You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

    The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

    Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

    When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

    Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

    It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

    You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

    When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

    Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

    Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

    Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

    You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

    You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

    C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

    The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

    For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

    A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

    In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

    Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

    Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

    Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

    It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

    You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

    Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

    You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

  • is there a way to change a file type?

    I have a flash drive with some FLV files on it and tried to read them on my media player but a message that windows cannot open them.

    Download and install a media player that can play FLV files.

    A simple/good it is VLC Media Player:
    http://www.videolan.org/VLC/

    It is a "Flash video file" (no relation to your 'USB key' as you didn't call.)  (* smile *) there is also a FLV Codec which allows your Media Player read FLV files - but the other players have advantages over Windows Media Player.  :-)
