    Hello:

This is what worked for me...

I zipped and tied a tool that hopefully will get windows 10 icon on the taskbar of your PC, as it did for me.

To run it, unzip the file and right-click on the file and select run as administrator.

After reading the disclaimer notice, run the first menu item to confirm your PC has the required updates.

Then run the second menu item, and it is the one that did the trick for me.

Some members of the forum, said the 3rd menu item has worked for them.

Then simply click on the GET W10 icon to get a software booking W10.

  • TouchSmart HP Envy 15 t-j100: Touchsmart HP Envy 15 t-j100 is having a serious problem

Today while I was at school I tried to get a file on a drive of classmates.  Once the USB is connected I got a bluescreen error dpc.watchdog.violation.  I did some research and found that its a mistake related to drivers and learned how to fix it.

I received this error serveral times in the class so I decided to turn off the computer so that I can try to fix the problem after the class.  After class, I went to the library and turned on the computer so I could try to fix it.  the problem is that now, as soon as I turn on the computer, the screen goes black, no keys to respond.  I tried to use the "secret", the wifi button to see if the light changed and they did not.  I tried changing the computer off and back on several times and he continues to have the same problem.  the fan is on when I turn the computer and some time after pressing F11 or F8 fan of computers have gotten stronger.

I don't know what to do my computer is completely insensitive?  I'd like to do a factory reset because I would lose the PDFs of manuals that I as well as other important files.

I plan to try to plug in my computer on a TV to see if I can see anything coming.  is this a useful idea?

the operating system on the computer is windows 8.1

  • Envy 15-u280nb x 360: disk HARD upgrade to SSD

    Hello

I recently bought a new laptop with a HARD drive,
On this site, I saw how to open my laptop: http://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c04349558
Now I have this HARD drive: WD7500LPCX (7mm height)
Is it possible to replace it with an SSD (samsung evo 850 500 GB)
And use it at full speed?
The motherboard and the cable does support it?

    Thank you

The Evo to Samsung 850 is a good choice and is a dropin for a mechanical hard drive replacement. Don't sweat the SATA/SATA-II-III thing, because the Evo 850 and all the other SSD SATA-III are backward compatible with the motherboards SATA-II. The speed difference is negligible in the actual operation. The distinction is theoretical maximum burst that is almost never achieved in actual use speed. Even on a connection SATA-II SSD SATA-III is so much faster than a mechanical hard drive it's no contest and is worth doing. I think that your connection is SATA-III in all cases.

Connectors and others for the hard drive will work only with an SSD, as the physical form of the two devices is identical... fixing holes and the SATA connectors are the same and in the same place. You have found the tutorial video directly from the hard drive. Just be careful in there since HP does not go on your lease with warranty if something is damaged in the process, but will not void the warranty if you do successfully. Let us know if you need help in the migration of cloning/software.

  • want to 24-n250ur: SSD m.2 Bulldozer - 4GL Envy 24

I'm a 24-n250ur on matherboard Bukdozwe-4GL. What type of m2 is it? PCI-E or SATA? I want to buy a SSD drive Samsung 850 evo. Will it work? I've never been able to find an answer.

    Hi K0stya2007,

While our PC is different, both use the same motherboard of Bulldozer-4GL.

Here is the link of product to your craving 24-n250ur.
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-envy-24-N200-all-in-one-desktop-PC-series-(touch) / 11084176/model/12262058/document/c05247751 /.

Here is the link of my 27-p041 Evny product.
    http://support.HP.com/in-en/document/c04869827

The 128 GB SATA III SSD M.2, tried at the beginning did not work. He was never taken over by the BIOS or in the operating system. However, when I tried the Samsung 950 PRO NVMe M.2 256 GB it was immediately recognized by BIOS and Windows 10 drive. Here is the link to the ssd which worked in my PC.  I pulled my other system to test.
    http://www.Samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/SSD-950-Pro-nVMe-256gb-MZ-v5p256bw/#specs

I was surprised that the motherboard supports PCIe is that I wasn't expecting that pleasntly.  Now I'm not saying that it will work with your PC, but I would definitely give it a try (especially if you can return the drive, if it is not). Make sure m2 slots are enabled in the BIOS, otherwise it won't work.

HP could have saved us a lot of headaches if he said simply that the m2 slot is PCIe somewhere in the documentation instead of simply "a slot m2 for SSD" and we have to guess.  In any case, I'm just glad that it works for me.

Let us know how it turns out for you.  Good luck!

  • HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Quad Edition: upgrade of the current HARD drive

I have HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Quad Edition laptop which currently has a 1 to 5400 RPM HARD drive. I'm looking to upgrade to SSD drive and need help with the following responses

    (1) the laptop does support more than 512 GB since the laptop computer maintenance document lists (and does not) support max 512 GB

    (2) any 2.5 SATA 3 SSD should work with the configuration given my laptop as long as its not more than 9.5 mm thick. Please confirm.

I was chatting and asking for a response for the last month 1 HP support and I have not received a positive response. Forums suggest that capacity any no where like the cat and people on HP customer service gave the following answer.

The manual list only up to 512 GB because that's all there was when the laptop was sold or just would not be a market for the 1 TB SSD. Not too long ago, they were $7-800 and beyond almost anyone means. But there is no reason that your laptop can not run a 1 TB SSD. Also, you are right. All SATA 2.5 inch wide SSD will work as long as it's not more than 9.5 mm thick. These days, almost all of them are 7 mm. I would recommend a Samsung 850 Evo but there are a lot of good ones out there. We had a set of trouble on the series MX Crucial reports, however.

  • Replace HDD SSD Touchsmart HP Envy 15-j151nr advice needed

I will replace the 1 TB HARD disk provided with this computer using Samsung 840 256 GB HARD drive. I looked through these forums and elsewhere and am still confused with the best procedure to make sure a bootable stick with installed Windows 8.1.

I have a scanner I'll make a copy of the recovery by using the PC software disc is supplied by HP. I also ordered disk backup of OEM windows 8.1 for the installation of the operating system if necessary.

The SSD will have the USB adapter to prepare with the latest firmware updates and if necessary formatting before installation.

I got the product key MS using 3rd party software from the bios if necessary

My question is for the installation of the new SSD more is it recommended to use the HP recovery disk I have done and start on the optical drive for installation as described in the manual of HP or use Microsoft's OEM disk I will receive? I understand there are a 4 partitions on the original disc with one of them the key to unlock the product key installed in the bios. I'm willing to use a 3rd party software to copy files and partitions, but prefers not to do so.

Any input on this is appreciated

    Jeff

The HP recovery disk will not work. Only, it can be used on a disk that is at least as large as the original, which is causing many problems for people who want to install the SSD drives. The OEM disc works perfectly. If the laptop comes with Windows 8.1 then the key Code is actually printed in the BIOS and the installation disk will automatically find it. If the laptop comes with Windows 8 and you ugraded to 8.1 at any given time, it's actually a little more complex. In this case the only simple thing to do is to get a drive OEM Windows 8. The key in the BIOS Code is only for the original operating system. Yes, assuming you have the right OEM disk just boot from it and follow the prompts to install Windows 8 or 8.1. You will be pleasantly surprised, how fast it goes with an SSD. The original drive will have all drivers and apps installed at the factory, and programs in C:\swsetup folder so it is a good idea to have a way to get out of the original 1 TB drive, and you can install them on the new drive once the operating system is loaded.

Yes, but it's very very difficult to do.

It is to introduce a bootloader (a software configuration) on the main disk, which starts the computer, but then passes the finishing of the initialization of the WSSD. Otherwise the WSSD is not and cannot be transformed into a bootable disc. Also if you add a WSSD to a system which has been delivered without one, your comouter will not start.

  • Want 15t_j100 Quad E2E34AV Ed: 10 Windows upgrade failed - blinking display of Envy 15 t-j100 Quad Edition Notebook PC

Upgrade Windows 10 failed on my Envy 15 t-j100 Quad Edition laptop.

Symptom after upgrade has been a video exhibition quickly flashing without control of the PC.

I have to go back to the previous version - Windows 8.1.

Back with success on Windows 8.1

Symptoms point to video card problem after updated Windows at level 10.

My laptop has two, provided by HP online:

    Intel HD 4600 Grapics (internal)

    NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

See the research, that Intel and NVIDIA have Windows 10 drivers for these graphics cards.

Yet immediately when Windows 10 signing after upgrade, the laptop display has been viewed quickly.

The only way I could get control of the laptop was CTL-ALT-DELETE to start the Task Manager.

The Task Manager showed that more CPU resources would "host setting synchronization process.

Called Microsoft Support - they indicate a likely problem with display adapter driver and advised to "go back" and then contact HP support.   called HP Support and they advised to work with Microsoft.  Great!

Would appreciate recommendations on the way forward for Windows 10.

I also see 10.18.15.4248 that place listed for the Intel HD 4600 graphics card.

Can I install both of these drivers before you upgrade Windows 10?

Both are supported on Windows 8.1?

If so, why HP Support Assistant would not have install me the upgrade?

    Am I missing something here?

Install only the softpaq grahips from Nvidia. It will allow to install the two drivers.

When I click on the button 'Download' blue, it offers two choices:

Use HP download and install the Wizard (recommended)

    Download only

This is the second option that you recommend when you say to use "usb flash drive support? Yes. Create an installer of Flash 10 Windows usb player. This is the second choice option.
