Trace of IO: What is attribute 0xBFFF0002 VISA?

Hi all

The Question:

Can someone tell me what VISA 0xBFFF0002 attribute corresponds to what I can follow the bug?

The context:

This week, I was invited to help solve some heinous bugs that others face.

Continuing this theme, I have a VISA IO trace that someone gave me, and there are several rows with an invalid session/reference error.

This error occurs when the "VISA Get Attribute (0xBFFF0002)" occurs. I really need to know which attribute it tries to fetch and a hexadecimal code said me nothing by itself.

I saw that a few others these requests in the past have gone unanswered - I look forward to any entry.

Thank you

Mr. Jim

  • Is there a tool or a trace to show what wishes (standard or) currently playing?

    Monitoring Portstartus or port Viewer tool has.

    There is no real-time tool that displays this information, unfortunately - close - if you turn on the track "PhraseServer to Monitor" in the tool of diagnosis of the unit and look in the status of port manager, you will see the names of files for all the guests play and you are supposed to see the file names of the greetings as well--the names on these make clear who is playing (they contain 'standard') (, "offours" etc. in the name) - however it is said 'flow' now - I'll look into why it's not the file name.

    However, you can activate a trace to see this information in a newspaper if you need to. Again, in the unit Diagnostic tool go in the micro option footsteps and go to the section "Conv PHGreeting" - select "properties and Variables Values, #24 and click next - make a call into the system and struck a greeting and then go look in the \commserver\logs directory - you will see a file called 'diag_AVCsMgrxxxx' y and you will see your call - he's going to say explicitly what wishes is selected when the handler call/Subscriber is reached.

  • What version of the Visa Runtime executable files compiled in LabVIEW 7.1 require?

    We have an old executable that was written in LabVIEW 7.1 and uses the serial port communication.  We are licensed with LabVIEW 2010, however our company policy requies a lot of paperwork so he should recompile.

    The executable program has worked well over the years.  The computer on which it is running has to be replaced. Any software included in the CD 'Install' is not enough, and now there is no communication with the serial device.  I guess the problem would be DURATION VISA European Commission.

    Does anyone know which version of the Runtime VISA is required for executable files compiled in LabVIEW 7.1?  Is this something of "Legacy"?

    Thank you in advace for assistance.

    Aside: I ask: anyone actually trying to make a search more? This must be the fourth issue that I saw this morning that could have been answered easily if a simple search had been made before posting.

  • What is. DS_Store

    I can't escape. DS_Store file creation on my desk. I don't know how and why, but I just can't get rid of it permanently. It reappears constantly on my desk and I don't even have a clue what it is and how it continues to display on my desk. Could you please tell me how to get rid of it please? Permanently.

    . DS_Store is a file by invisible nature that has the last information used to display this folder (or your desktop) in the Finder. It holds view icon, list, component, coverflow, what file attributes are present and in what order.

    See you only when you insist on the display invisible files, or by using Terminal Server.

  • How to check the version of VISA

    I need a power supply control (Agilent 6700 b) so I downloaded this driver agn6700 on the page of the website:

    http://sine.NI.com/apps/UTF8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E97D0659CE034080020E74861

    but on this same page it says software required: NI-VISA 3.0

    now the computer with LabVIEW has no internet connection, I can't do an automatic update on it or something... so, I wonder how I can check what version of the VISA is installed on this computer?

    Thank you very much

    Open MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer), expand the list of 'software', find NI-VISA.

    Note that "software" means the minimum version , as it is clearly stated. If you have something higher to 3.0, you must be very well.

    Hello
    What version of NI-VISA you have?  There was a problem with the viClose on older versions of NI-VISA (before 3.1).  I suggest upgrading to the latest version (3.5) here.  If you do not already have the latest version, try it and see if that fixes the problem.

    You need to understand what the material is, visit the web page of the manufacturer (on another machine), download the software (drivers) for the hardware in the machine, copy it on this machine (USB key, etc.) and install.

  • Phase of extraction in a trace file

    Oracle version: 11.2.0.3.0 Enterprise Edition
    Operating system - IBM/AIX RISC System/6000

    I'm trying to generate a trace file from a piece of code executed by the java server. What I asked the java developer to do is to place this block immediately after a connection is established:
    BEGIN
      EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER SESSION SET TRACEFILE_IDENTIFIER = ''M1''';
      dbms_monitor.session_trace_enable(waits => FALSE, binds => TRUE);
    END;
    And at the end of the block of logic java code:
    BEGIN
      dbms_monitor.session_trace_disable;
    END;
    I want to know is how many lines the java Server recovers after executing a particular select statement, because they complain about getting less account lines select statement waits.
    For example, if I run the same query sql in the sqlplus session, then we'll, I extract say 1000 rows.
    When the same query is executed on the side of java, the lines of recoveries are less in number, let's say 500.
    And because I doubt it, I wanted to trace to see what is actually executed and how.
    The extract of the trace file I see exactly the same query that I myself run in a sqplus session.
    There is no precise control over the udnerlying tables in the query.

    And my question is, how to interpret the phase EXTRACTION of the slider (for the select statement)?
    For example, if I see a FETCH for this cursor, this means that the java server retrieves a single row?
    If I see 100 extractions, this means that they recovered 100 lines of the cursor?

    Here's a short excerpt from the trace file (please don't crucify me for obvious denormalized tables design, and the request it is not invented by me):

    Each FETCH call returns r = number of lines.

    Run TKPROF trace file for a readable activity summary.

    How to interpret the phase EXTRACTION of the slider (for the select statement)?

    The java code uses a default fetchsize to 10 (lines per extraction).
