  I recorded in a file of data like this:

  name address telephone e-mail, etc.

  Each field is separated by a tab (\t) delimiter.

  I have read each line of the file with the text file reading and read audit function lines, and then use the index string array, the result is: each while the iteration I can get the full range of text (String), I want to convert this string with fields of tab separated in an array of strings.

  I'm trying to convert an input string of sentence written with spaces between words in an array of strings of 1 d with one word in each element of the array.

  That's what I have so far, but his does not work as I would like.   I have trouble getting in the array to zero at the beginning of each series.

  Why don't you just use the String Array to worksheet and specify a space as a separator?

  It is a part of a Subvi on a comprehensive program where I address three different cDAQ chassis, which are named cDAQ9188-TBL01-Remote, remote-TBL02-cDAQ9188, cDAQ9188-TBL03-distance max.

  I intend to have three separate executables running simultaneously but independently, each dedicated to a different frame.  Rather than manually changing the only integer and create a new Create_Task 002 and 003. VI for each of them, I would have the whole selectable by the user.  Simple 1, 2, or 3 before starting the program and inserted it in the correct place (cDAQ9188-TBL0X-remote X of the location).

  I managed to insert characters in the simple strings, but nothing seems to work with table 1 d of string.  Is there a chance for this or should I be building my channels tables quite differently?

  You'll just have to change the 1,2,3,... in your tables of strings with the appropriate format specifier, then add digital control and two knots in String Format and Bob is your uncle.

  For a string should I use a published network shared variable flow or network?

  For an array of doubles should I flatten the array in a string and the string of transfer? or should I send it as a picture?

  The same for clusters, should I flatten the cluster or the transfer as a cluster?

  Transfers on the network are not deterministic.  You ask how to use the data in a deterministic way, once it arrives on the RT system.  Usually, you would create a separate loop, not critics of time to deal with network communications.  The data arrives it is copied in real-time-safe structures such as RT-FIFO to put at the disposal of the evanescent loop.

  I can't give you specific advice on network variables and network flows; Finally, I did this kind of transfer over TCP, until these other options were available.

• Incorporate the binary string in the string spreadsheet file

  Hello LabVIEW wizards...

  So I use scripture to VI file spreadsheet to create a beautiful layout, tabs-delimited report of one of my programs for the acquisition of data file. In one of the cells in the resulting worksheet file that I want to put a binary string of all my control values so when you open the data file all the control parameters used for its manufacture are restored, but the string is hidden when the report is displayed in Excel.

  The problem is that the binary string flattened uses tabs and returns as part of its syntax the Spreadsheet File this VI to Write it's going in all directions. Worse yet, I can't unflatten chain when I open the file text because of "corrupt data or unexpected".

  If I concatenate the string flattened with quotes around it she is superb and is placed in a single cell in Excel, but when I open the file in LabVIEW that she is still several elements in the array. I've isolated the binary string using the file VI text reading and got a subset of the quoted string, but it still unflatten correctly.

  Essentially, I need to know how to get LabVIEW to pull a string literal full of special characters into a spreadsheet file and it unflatten. Any gurus what help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

  I suggest that you change the formatting of your chain shipped by replacing the tabs and returns with other characters that are not considered as commands by the spreadsheet functions. Without knowing how you represent your control binary values, I can't offer specific characters.

  If two non-printable characters exist which do not appear in the control data, it's easy: just find and replace tabs and returns with those characters.  If there is no character, then something more complex needs to be done for example to escape special characters.  Or create two subVIs - one to remove the tabs and returns before writing the string in the file and the other to restore after reading.

  Rather than convert the number to a string of ASCII characters, you should change the representation of the byte in a string. If you always want only a single byte, use the U8 instead of I32 data type. Convert an array of U8. Convert to string. Concatenate. Lynn

• Network Variable string array

  I'm working on a project that would require one program to talk to another (same computer) program, where the use of the network variable.

  Now say that I have a list or a table of names that the changes in a single program, what I would do is to take parts of the list that is in a single program and transfer parts of the list to another program.

  The list must be transferred at least 40 unique names of different sizes with letters.

  I have data tables ready I just need to understand the part of the transfer.

  I tried the 3D.sim, but it seems to be a problem when I'm with strings, especially when the strings are of different lengths.

  Also when using the CNVCreateArrarDataValue errors on table place being small on the size of the array?

  String array lists are usually 2D (line and size) does that factor in?

  You can write an array of strings easily, but it must be an array of strings. It cannot be a two-dimensional character array, which is not the same thing. For example, the following code should work (I replaced your table with a table called "table", but the rest should be the same). Note that I have create only a single CVNData, not a picture of CNVData:

  Do you know how many records it will take?  (I'm guessing 1 registry for all 2 characters).

  String to byte array to obtain a table of ascii characters that make up the message string.  I would use decimate the table to get 2 tables 1 d of each other byte U8.  Can use numbers to join to get a table 1 d of U16.  Then, you can send this U16 table using the LVDSC module to the correct registry address for however much it records needs.

• Table row of string to string array column

  Perhaps, it's getting late... However, I can't figure out how to convert my string column to a line string.  That said, I read the other articles and none of them are solutions to my problem.  Please see the jpg files to see what I mean.

  So on the front panel, I have a "row" chain control  However, when I save on my .dot (word template) file, it spits out a column of data.  Because this column contains my column headers, I need them to display as a line.  Someone has suggestions on how to "force" it to show in the model as a line instead of a column?

  Never mind the help.  I found a solution to the problem.

  While everyone knows... If you want to change the deminsions of a string array simply use the function "reshape array" in the tool range.  Deminsion size is the number of lines and the bottom is the number of columns.  Just wire to the top and go!

• How to convert the Ascii string containing hex to hex string info?

  I am busy doing a control/reading program for pumps of ISCO.

  Right now I'm in trouble with to send orders for PUMPS in HEXADECIMAL. When I use a CONTROL to the STRING in HEX display, everything works fine (when I manually write down the command in the control of the chain).

  Exist it a couple of pieces order: string Destination, length, ordering, Checksum. I'm doing a sup - screw that automatically calculates the checksum (modulo 256) and adds it to the string. Everything is going well: first of all, I shared the ascii bytes command and I calculate the checksum and add as ASCII HEXADECIMAL value to the chain of command. Also a CR (= 0d) is added. Now the whole string must be converted to hex. The string contains the right nummers HEX, but they are in ASCII format. Here was I feel worth it, I don't know how to do it!

  So to summarize:

  I have an ascii string that contains the values HEX (for example 315230303652454D4F544531420D) and it must be converted to a HEX string (for instance 3152 3030 3652 454 4531 420 4F54) for the pump of the ISCO can understand the command.

  I followed an example online at deveope an xcontrol for the input string, but limit the input only characters for capital letters from A to Z. I have the main code as follows

  

  In the key to the bottom of the event, I throw all input character with the ASCII beyond [65, 90]. Sounds works but if I continue to press a prohibited (e.g. %), it will show that the key in the control. So, how can I ban the entry by a long press on a button? Thank you.

  Maybe including an event ' key repeat? It will handle the case when a character is added when the user holds the key. I think that you will just need to copy the code in the event "button down?
