"track period" for a swf file

I'm playing with based .swf files. I found this online tutorial to learn how to set a period 'trail' for a swf file. However, the code does not work, but I can't understand what is wrong with it. Someone at - it ideas?

function trialDetector (): Void {}
const yyyy:Number = 2009; year
const mmmm: number = 6; 1 month (0 (January)...) 11 (December))
const dddd:Number = 1; day of the month (1, 2,..., 30, 31)
var expirationDate:Date = new Date (yyyy, MMM, dddd);
var currentDate:Date = new Date();
If (currentDate > expirationDate)
{
expiration has been detected
for(;;); / / use the appropriate measures, for example - an infinite loop to stop the video clip
}
}
trialDetector();

Thank you

PAI_T-OS,

This code seems, most of the time.  By V 'Empty' capital, I can say that this is ActionScript 2.0, so the 'const' keyword is going to be a problem (const is for constants, which is not available to ActionScript 3.0).  Change the var, and you should be fine.  Personally, I wouldn't use an empty loop (e.g. for(;;)) to kill the film.  Why not just ask the user with a message?

I noticed that your test numbers for July 1, 2009, which is disabled in the future to this day.  When you test this, you need to change your computer clock - which is an easy way for users to bypass this mechanism, unfortunately - or use different values while you test.

  • Flash ok but Player 9 installed 10.3 active for standalone swf files

    It is a rather interesting scenerio. I am running Vista 32 Bit (upgrade to Windows 7 soon) using IE9 and I try to view the .swf files that require Flash Player 10. No problem, I uninstalled all components of Flash Player using the Flash Player uninstall program. I rebooted, reinstalled Flash Player and confirmed all was working well. Modules are enabled, and all the controls reveal that I have installed 10.3. The problem that I am facing is when I try to run a separate .swf, the player file that appears says "Flash Player 9. The .swf file will not play as stand-alone, but it will play in my browser. How can I get Flash play 10 to be my default player? DRM for your help.

    As I posted earlier, the download is the standalone player, not an installation program.

    Everywhere where, that you downloaded, it will be there.

  • Captivate 7 - where can I find the settings of publication for swf files?

    In fact, we created a tool for creating swf files that our company publishes files Captivate and Adobe Connect. With our last update to Captivate 7 we can now successfully publish on YouTube (finally) but now the swf file settings have dissappeaered - we need for our customer publications.

    1. How can we publish Captivate 7 records in swf?

    2. If they have been taken-someone ' a has a routine to workaround?

    Thank you so much - we have searched high and low to find answers.

    You can deploy MP4, from a file-cpvc also internally, but this is pure video, non-interactive.

    The classic way to create a simulation with Captivate uses automatic Capture (file cptx), where you have the choice between the demonstration, Simulation and training simulation assessment (with an increase of degree of interactivity). And these files can be published to SWF/HTML (interactive) PDF format...

  • SWF files are not displayed when the Web page is published to the web

    I was given 5 swf files to add to a Web page. I insert > media > swf and added each swf along the left side of the page. I can read the files when I saw in firefox, ie, chrome, etc. I copied then all the videos, Scripts files and html on the remote server file. When I go to the update page, the page is displayed correctly except for 5 swf files. The page is located here: http://coeh.berkeley.edu/pehsu/VideosC.html.  I use Adobe Dreamweaver CS6. Any help will be appreciated.

    It seems to give the same strange message "the server cannot find the file specified" on any .swf. If you change a the .swf .jpg file, you get the standard message on the server 404 File not found.

    Try to place one of your .swf files in the same folder as your index.html page. Then navigate to it directly http://coeh.berkeley.edu/pehsu/oscar4.swf

    for example and see what happens.

    I wonder if it is not something your server administrator might help you here.

  • Web page do not see the SWF file

    Hi, I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction?

    I created a web page with Indesign, which includes some animation.

    When I export as SWF, it creates separate HTML and SWF files.

    I moved these two files, and any other files that I used to create the document to my hosting provider (Hostmonster). I read on other threads that I should probably have a RESOURCE file, I do not have.

    When I go to my home page, I get a gray screen that Hostmonster inform me is because HTML can't find the SWF file.

    Someone has an idea of what I can hurt.

    Thanking you in advance.

    Warm greetings

    Peter

    index.HTML is looking for a swf file that is named Magazines1.swf. If the swf file that you are trying to load only is index.swf rename it to Magazines1.swf.

  • Change the Preloader on Indesign swf files

    Is it possible to change the preloader from that generated by Indesign for its swf files?

    I'm guessing this is something flash TBH. Would I be right in thinking I have save the Indesign as a FLV file and then open it in Flash to change the preloader?

    You can't do InDesign. You might want to pop on the Flash Forum and ask there.

  • Compress swf file

    The file SWF and HTML of my site is currently 1005kb and 11 KB. How do I compress it... It takes a long time to load.

    The options that are available are limited.  You can't compress the html page.  You can use Save and Compact when you save the FLA in Flash, which essentially removes past memories of the fla file, which can sometimes lead to savings in the swf that it publishes.

    But the key for the swf file is that you must delete the contents of the swf file that can otherwise be loaded dynamically so that the file itself can load faster.  This includes things like large images, audio files and video files.   In the end, the dynamically loaded content will still take time to load, it is not all just to get to the front when the swf file is loaded.

  • When you import SWF files, they become shorter (time)?

    Hi, I use Captivate 4.0.0 Build 1596 on WIn XP Pro SP2.  SWF files that I use are records of screen of BB Flashback Pro 2.6.3 build 1205 (http://www.bbsoftware.co.uk)

    SWF files are 1280 x 1024 and when I export them they have the following parameters:

    Maximum frame rate (14 FPS)

    SWF format

    Lossless compression

    No Audio

    Export images 0-420

    HERE'S THE PROBLEM:

    In Internet Explorer 7 the SWF files load very well and takes 30 seconds to play from the beginning to the end (420/14 = 30 seconds)

    When I load into Captivate 4.0.0 is now only 14.1 seconds of time and there are 422 frames?

    If I export it at 30 fps I get a file that matters in Captivate, which is 30 seconds in length, but is now 901 images?

    Because the way you have only 16000 images I am now limited to about 8.5 min for my SWF file.

    Why Captivate changes the playing time?

    I am very new to Captivate and this was the only real problem I've had so far.  If I could get this problem solved, then I'd be a very happy camper.  Thank you!

    Hello

    I was recently advised by the development team of Captivate that the limit of 16 000 framework does not apply to things created using Captivate. Apparently it has something to do with the way they structure the content.

    So if it's not a problem the only thing remaining to fear with is the disparity of frame rate. If you create something that works at 14 frames per second, you must configure Captivate to run at 14 frames per second when you are using the same content, so there is no inconsistency. Or knock your creation at 30 FPS to match that of Captivate.

    See you soon... Rick

    Caching of Firefox on the SWF (Adobe Flash files) files are not cached in the browser. But the same SWF files are the caching to other browsers such as Google Chrome and IE.

    But when I see the subject: cache the service information, I can see the SWF files are there in the disk cache device. Whenever I hit the same page, the SWF files are downloaded from the server not from the browser, but extraction account so that the SWF file will get increase in disk cache device. It takes so long to load SWF files every time when I hit the page.

  • SWF file for customized dashboards unifying creation tool

    Hi all

    I'm looking for a tool that can allow me to create SWF files to use for the custom dashboard. I know third-party SWF, swf templates can be created using tools to create files and we can build dashboards customized unifier.

    Can anyone provide me with the list of tools to create SWF files you used for unifying dashboards.

    Thank you

    The only tool that SWF dashboards have been designed to work with are Xcelcius. Please keep in mind that only Skire inherited who had created dashboards SFW clients the possibility to use SWF dashboards.

  • Common interface of JS does not work for me when I check the generated swf file

    Hi all

    Get up to speed on the use of Javascript and 8 Captivate. I work with what adobe own examples discussed here: JS Common interface .

    I downloaded the project, published under the title of HTML5 and SWF and posted on our server.

    HTML 5 version

    Open the swf file

    When you click on the buttons in the HTML5 version, you can see the content of the change of the content area. This does not happen in swf (the XML is a counterpart of the swf file in the same directory)

    Looking at their model of box, I think that maybe they mean that the html page must be involved for the js to work (that is, you need to link to the page instead of the swf file)? Maybe this is already known by everyone else, so forgive me... but can you just use the swf file (in this case, including the XML with it) and do the work of javascript?

    In the end, I really don't need features xml... I'm just trying to play an audio file and give buttons, click on a State visited and in the context, I'm trying to use it, I can only download a swf file, not a html file that displays a flash element. Maybe there is an easier way to do... But I didn't pursue a js route if js will not run in this case.

    Thank you!

    I think that you need a html file to make javascript work.

    You can use advanced actions to display a different button once the original has been clicked.

  • Loading of local swf files with actionscript on air for iOS

    I apologize if this seems like it has already been asked, but I'm not sure that having understood the answer, not on the Adobe site, or elsehwere.

    I am developing an app for iOS, targeting the last 3.9 SDK

    I have a main swf file that loads the local swf files. These local swf files have code actionscript in them. I use Flash Professional CS6.

    I publish the application successfully and everything's fine. When I start the app on the iPad, is the main swf and all is well. When I click on the button that loads the local SWF files, nothing happens. They are not loaded.

    It seems that this has been answered, but I'm losing my mind. I don't know what the problem is. I know that, in version 3.9 Air, it is now possible to load local SWF files are actionscript.

    Air for the Android version works perfectly with these local files loaded and unloaded like a charm.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    from the air, 3.6, you can load swf with actionscript and that run actionscript.  before 3.6 air that was not allowed (without additional work).

    but your charger must provide a loadercontext object that uses the current applicationdomain:

    var lc:LoaderContext = new LoaderContext(false,ApplicationDomain.currentDomain,null);

    yourloader. Load (yourexternalswf.swf, LC);

  • How to add listeners for the external loaded swf files?

    IAM loading external .swf file in the file main.swf.

    IAM dispatchEvent (new Event ("loaded")) of external .swf.

    How to add the listener for the event "loaded"?

    in your swf file main something like below:

    mcExt.addEventListener ("load", onCongratsClose);

    function onCongratsClose(e:Event):void {}
    Your code

    }

  • Overview rasterized for manufacturing. SWF files?

    Is there a reason to use the raster preview if you have graphics that will be eventually exported under. SWF files?

    Thank you.

    Not really. Unless the SWF is static and consist only of bitmap graphics incorporated, for example for the simulation of the user interface, there is no need for it. As soon as something moves, Flash will use its own resampling and antialaiasing.
