• Satellite Z30 - update driver touch pad with adjustable scrolling speed?

  touchpad Alps for W8.1 that is currently provided by Toshiba driver doesn't have an option to set the vertical scrolling speed of the gesture two fingers. With the speed by default, even supported the fingers down without moving them results in a scroll that is the equivalent of PAGE_DOWN, for example way to fast. The version I'm using is the most recent site (tpdrv - 20140306120847.zip)

  There is a registry entry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Alps/Apoint that make the situation a little more bearable (ScrollLines set to 1), but there is no way to adjust if it more in the settings or the registry

  A newer driver from the Alps (8.103.404.104) from another company has this option and scrolling works as it should on the lowest speed, but it does not support the 2 fingers rightclick.

  Why toshiba is using an outdated driver that is missing this feature critical? Is a new driver available? Anyone find a solution for this?

  Driver versions are always different and are not always comparable with versions of driver outputs of other manufacutrers for laptop.

• EXTREMELY slow mouse scrolling speed

  Hello, I was faced with a problem with my iMac where the mouse scrolling speed is very slow.  It's so slow that my finger feels bad the amount of scrolling, do I just go to the bottom of an average Web page.  I use a third party mouse, but I think it's a problem with my iMac because when I plug the mouse on my Macbook Air it can scroll to normal speed.  I tried to adjust my speed in system preferences, but it does allow me to increase my speed to scroll beyond the 6th tick and even when he is sure the scrolling speed is still extremely slow.

  I have an E560 with Win7Pro, my problem is I want to change the speed of scrolling with two fingers when I am scrolling web sites.

  To do this I have open the touchpad settings and set the speed to a lower 'confirm', the scroll has been slower, but only as long the window with the parameters of the touchpad was not closed. After I closed it, the scrolling speed is back as before (fast), when I open again the settings everythings looks that I've set. All the other options I changed for the touchpad are set and after that I closed the working parameters only the scrolling speed will not change.

  I tried to do it with the old drivers and new drivers and in administrator mode, nothing works.

  I found the solution, but this isn't the way it should be done.

  In the mouse option (I don't have a mouse) in the section "wheel," I had to change 2 lines of scrolling to scroll 1 line. Now, the speed is reduced but the scrolling is not smoth how it should be.

  Problem has been reported to Lenovo support and I hope they'll release in the future new drivers for the touchpad and solve this problem.

• How can I change the mouse '-scroll-speed of the wheels in Adobe Reader / Acrobat Pro?

  While I am a student, I read a lot of books to the computer with Adobe Acrobat, and sometimes I just skim the pages to find something. What keeps me boring, that although my speed is set to fast in Windows settings, whenever I open a pdf file and zoom in a bit to adapt to changes in Adobe screen, scrolling speed wheel of my mouse to very slow.

  When the right button is pressed, move the cursor of the mouse upward scrolls upward (once by 0.03 seconds), and move it down scrolls down. If the scroll has been triggered, the context menu will not open their release (i.e. it will show when just a right-click). This allows using the trackpoint like a scroller!   Hi lauri,

  I get it.  When zoomed in and scrolling in the waveform display (either via a scroll wheel that supports horizontal scrolling or by holding SHIFT key scroll up/down), you want step size for each "click" of the wheel to be bigger, so that you can scroll more quickly.  There is no preference for this at the moment, but I'll be happy to put in a decent feature request.  As a solution for now, you can click on each side of the orange box to 'see' in the overview of waveform above the rule, or get the orange box and drag it where you want to display more quickly.
