Tracks in the timeline being tinted green and no waveform

Windows 7 - many spaces drive and power

First Pro CS6

I import avi widescreen 48 kHz "rushes".

I have change in several sequences (A) and I put the poster timecode effect because I work with a group from a distance and this is the only way to point to a specific clip or sequence of many rushes.

I then change another final sequence with clips from that of a sequence. I get a timeline with tracks being tinted green instead of the usual blue. In addition, I can't wave in the timeline or in the source monitor. And, not least, when I double click on a clip, where should I get the clip in the source monitor Panel, it opens the sequence in the timeline panel, but not in the source monitor.

I have done anything wrong or there at - it a bug?

I looked in several forum and help sources and found nothing.

Thanks for your help.

If the clip is green, you are probably looking to a nested sequence.

For a waveform, you need to render audio.

I posted a topic on it as well.  Seems like if update the CC has allowed me to finally extract any section marked in and out of any track independently of any other person when sync lock is disabled.  Very powerful (and very basic) tool!

  • How to reset the function that allows tracks audio and video to align with the other tracks on the timeline

Somehow, I have disabled the feature that allows to drag and draw audio and video tracks on the timeline to other titles or positions of import.  Is the only project that was hit, and everything that I can think is that when executing some other keyboard shortcuts, I accidentally performed a shortcut that turned this feature off.

You want to say, "Snap"? Press "on the keyboard, or press the snap button in the timeline panel.

  • When I use the razor blade tool, is it possible to you cut through ALL the tracks in the timeline at the same time?

    Hello

In Final Cut Pro 7, there is a way to have the tool bracket razor blade across ALL the tracks in the timeline (sequence) both. First, I see no way to do this. I'll have to cut each piece one at a time. What Miss me?

    Hi Paul,.

Select the Razor tool, just hold down the SHIFT key and left click the mouse where you want to make a cut.

  • Problem inserting audio track in the timeline

Sorry, I'm a newbie and I'm sure this is a stupid question - but I can't answer myself.

In collaboration with the latest update of Windows CS6 and 1080/60 p video from my Panasonic AVCHD camcorder, I find that the only way I can move a clip to the Source the timeline monitor is drag-and - drop.  Any other method (by clicking on the icon "insert", keyboard shortcuts) moves only the video, leaving behind the audio.

What I'm doing wrong, or what I understand?

  • Cannot delete the audio track in the timeline

    Hi all

Here's my problem: it is not the first time it happens, but to excerpts from different cameras, I'm completely unable to abandon the audio track.
In the source Panel the playbacks of normally with audio clips, but when it comes to insert the clip it does not work as if I'm falling all audio and video clip he simply inserts the video and if I try to drop just the audio it don't let me down anywhere.
Has happened on multiple devices and just on the first CC (I decided to switch to CS5 and I'm already regretting)
I tried to import the file in different ways (by drag/import/media browser), restarts first and pc and transcoding of other codecs, nothing works.

Anyone has any suggestions or has encountered the same problem?

    See you soon

    Hi Andrea,

I'm completely unable to abandon the audio track.

Try making sure that the source of A1 is connected to the A1 channel in the timeline panel, and then drag. More information: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/878527

  • No audio track in the Timeline

So the ability to add Add Audio/Video tracks to timeline are "gray would be out" and what is even more strange is that they have even one or two tracks that are usually in the timeline, when you open the new project.

    Any help is appreciated.

Try this to create a new sequence:

Or, right click on a media file and select "new sequence of the Clip".

None of these methods will ensure your sequence matches your media.

  • Back 2 Mono tracks on 1 stereo track on the timeline, or source monitor?

I worked in first Pro CS 5.5 and I went Audio on a clip to 2 Mono tracks instead of its original 1 stereo track. I brought in the Source monitor, and then on the timeline.

Then I realized later that I wanted to switch the sound to 1 stereo track instead of the 2 Mono tracks.

I couldn't find a way to do it.

It is possible to do this? In the affirmative. How?

    Thanks in advance?

I pan 2 mono tracks left and right then nest.

  • What's UP with the audio tracks on the timeline?

I'm faithful user of Final Cut Pro, but I had to order a Windows compatible software for video editing for work, so I'm Adobe Premiere CS4 (I couldn't download CS5 on my computer because it's apparently a system of 32 bytes, not a 64... go figure). And I add the titles to the audio section of my first project and I noticed that he was going to let me NOT move my pieces anywhere I want on the timeline. He mixes them all the way up to the similar Audio track 5 automatically instead of track 1 (unlike the video that it is connected to is on track 1). I find it's confusing. I've read about it and this is apparently because the tracks automatically arrange them according to the type of audio, they are (mono, stereo, 5.1). So I thought OK, it is illogical, but I'll change them. Alas, I have not yet found a way to change the type of audio tracks to ask here. It's the first buffet. How can I change this?

The second thing I have is that I have a mono track that only play on a player, of course. In Final Cut Pro, you have a few options to change it and it is easy. This program, I can't find a way to solve this problem either in the program itself or on the web. How can I change a mono, track to a stereo speaker, two channels of the speaker?

Any help would be better appreciated.

    Q1: http://www.video2brain.com/en/videos-4009.htm

Q2: I can usually hear mono files on two speakers. Maybe it's a file of two channels with only one filled channel. If so, use the effect of audio complete left or right.

  • Invisible audio tracks in the timeline

I worked on a video clip, so I have several video clips in my calendar, but I découplez their audio original and deleted thereafter audio tracks, to which they were assigned. The audio track only I kept is the original mp3 that I use. This has been inserted on the audio track named "Soundtrack. For some reason, this path is no longer visible on my calendar. My video tracks 1 to 7 are visible, but the tracks without audio, whether. I hear very well and adjust it in the audio mixer Panel, but I can't. No idea how to get it back?

NB: When I create a project or a new sequence, the audio tracks are visible as usual. But not in the sequence, I'm working on. Also, if I add a new video clip with audio attached, I can preview the video and hear the sound, but even once - the audio track is not visible on the timeline. Help, please! It is very annoying...

See how there's a slightly darker grey bar right under the video 1 track, all the way through the mounting Panel? Hover over that until you get a pointer arrow double-headed, pointing up and down with a 'sandwich' between them. Click and drag to the top.

  • Cannot save an audio track in the timeline

I have opened in PP CS4 audio mixer and can only successfully save a voice more if I move to outside the end of the timeline. Trying to record to an unused track where there are video tracks above results in no - no audio track is created.

    What I am doing wrong?

    THX.

    No, it's really very simple.

Target/select the desired range. Position the CTI as you wish. Tap the microphone icon in the Audio Mixer Panel, ensure that the correct source is selected, and press Play. Personally, I will monitor through headphones or cut all other Audio tracks.

Now, I always create a new Audio track (add tracks) and rename to Narration, so I know that I don't have anything on the track.

You are not trying to burn to a mixture under are you?

Also, make sure that your WAB (work area bar) covers the entire timeline. Hit the------[backslash key] to zoom out, look at the WAB and find the little square in the middle. DBL click on which develop to cover 100% of the timeline.

    Good luck

  • The timeline indicator is offset and the shadows on the time scale.

I have four questions relatively minor but still boring.

    1. the indicator of chronology is compensated.  Visual quantity remains the same regardless of the zoom timeline, that this also applies to some tools.

2 markers are shifted to the right when it is placed.

    3. I get ghost images in the Panel noticed when the timeline scrub.

4 white lines appear on the time scale that the cursor moves on the screen. (No mouse clicks)

I did due diligence and asked around on some forums and searched the FAQ section and so far it seems to be isolated.

    OK problem SOLVED :-)

If you have the size of the text on your PC that is greater than 100%, it seems to be the cause.

Control Panel > appearance and personalization > display > set to 100%

This was brought to my attention by NTV on a similar thread here.

The only other problem is now that the text on the screen is a bit small.  But I will get used to that pretty quickly and the new Premiere Pro works fine again.

  • Replacing the clip in the timeline with exact in and out with same clip player but different

I have 2 external hard drives. F and H. They have the exact same files and backups of the other.  With the wire of time, by chance, on a project, I mixed some mpeg files in the timeline H: and F:. I want to make all the F:.

Is there a way to link the clip H: to the version of F: drive instead? When I right click on the clip in the sandbox "link media" file is gray.

I need a quick way to do this so that the point and point clips I would like to import to F: would be exactly the same in the timeline with the current H: clips in / outs.

Untie it first; then re - link to the new version.

But; your media running on external drives; Be careful.  Which can be abottle neck if it is not connected to high speed.  (usb for example would be bad)

  • can't see audio in the timeline (do not ask to display waveforms which is well covered)

In my calendar, I can only see the video.  Audio is usually below the video. At one point, he disappeared on me.  I spent hours turning things market, resetting workspaces, reading the forums (note that I know very well the display of waveforms once back audio on my calendar). Apparently everything.  I can hear the sound and can access the console window to activate audio tracks to the top, bottom and or mute.  But I want to add an overdub and replace its for my main track.  Without inserting the audio audio tracks, it is not possible to place them where I want that they.  I'm sure that its apparent that I am a novice to the Prime Minister.  Thank youScreen Shot 2015-11-25 at 12.05.01 PM.png

Select (click) and drag the base video tracks (dividing line as shown in the screenshot of Neils between V1 and A1) upwards.
