Transfer data file on a different drive due to full disk

I use ORA 10 G in WIndows Server 2003. I got the full disc. the disc contains a tablespace MTB with 30 data files. I intend to transfer some (say 10 files) to the other player. Please tell us how can I do this without loss of data.

Hello..

Please tell us how can I do this without loss of data.

You must either take the tablespace offline or need to close the database.

(a.) Tablespace offline;

1 alter tablespace offline;

2 copy data files to another location

3 alter tablespace rename datafile ' location/name' to 'nouvel_emplacement/name'; - for all data files

4. alter tablespace online;

(b) arret stop of the database, copy the data file at different location, mount the database, and then

ALTER database rename ' location/file name' to 'nouvel_emplacement/name ";

  • easy transfer can be used to reload the data files after formatting hard drive?

    I have been informed by level microsoft 2 I have to reformat my hard drive to fix the problem with windows backup (snapshot won't work).  easy transfer will copy all THE data files, including OUTLOOK 2007 on hard drive and then I can reinstall on reformatted drive.

    Easy transfer copy some things but not all things. He does more that can make a simple copy/paste (such as the settings for example) but, for example, not programs transfer (those who need to be put back in place).  Here is a description of what it does (and does not): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928635.  It will transfer Outlook 2007 PDF files and other personal data if they are selected - you need to know which files you need and where to select them - but it won't transfer the program (which must be put back in place).  It must be run before you reformat the hard disk to collect data and then you can transfer everything what you have registered once the system is re-installled.  You would do the re-setup prior to the transfer.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Transfer of files on external hard drive

    Hello, I 2013 Macbook Air running OS X El Capitan.

    I also have a 1 to external LaCie hard drive.

    I want to move any personal files to the LaCie, so on the Mac itself I only really needed programs.

    The reason why I want to do this is because for the University, I have to do a lot of work in MATLAB and Eclipse, and I want to make these apps run as fast as possible (MATLAB is an app 11FR). Right now, both applications are on the LaCie drive due to the lack of space on my Macbook.

    My idea is that I take my Macbook Air at the University, with MATLAB, Eclipse, all the bases on this subject (mail, internet, etc.), at the University to do 'serious' stuff, then go home, plug in my hard drive of 1 TB and have all my personal files and games and movies here.

    I was thinking about drag / drop off my entire library on the hard drive, but I'm worried that will cause problems and some basic applications not to run as they should. Anyone has experience with this or wants to help me?

    Thanks in advance.

    No, you don't need to do that, Yes, drag and drop your own files on them, those within Documents. But I think the best bet for you is to create a clone. With the clone, you'll have a backup of your entire drive files

    You can use a software of cloning asSuperDuper! or double clone.

    The advantage of the clone, it's that it is bootable. The advantage of TM, is that it creates recursive backup, so you can restore a file or the whole disc of a certain point in time.

  • XP is not start properly, important data files on the hard drive, location unknown such as e-mail addresses, individual emails and favorite links on Internet Explorer. The system is damaged irreparably, what is the solution?

    I need ideas to solve this problem.

    You can retrieve the data without being able to get into Windows. The methods described require a certain level of computer skills. You know yourself best, and if a better course of action would be to take the machine to a local professional with a good reputation instead. If you choose to do, do not use a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place.

    1 remove the drive and put it in a box of USB drive or use a USB adapter. Attach it to a computer that is running a working XP/Vista/Windows7 installation. Use the work of Windows Explorer to copy the data to the hard drive of the system to the rescue and burn data on cd or dvd, or copy it to an external hard drive. I prefer not to do it if I know the drive is infected because he has a chance to infect your host system. In these cases, I use #2 below.

    2. you can start the computer target with a Bart PE (XP only) or Linux Livecd such as Knoppix or Ubuntu and retrieve the data in this way. This has the additional advantage to tell you if the problems you are experiencing are hardware or software related because if the computer behaves perfectly in Linux, you know that Windows (software) is the culprit. Conversely, if the computer behaves badly under Linux, you will know that there is a hardware problem. This is general information on the use of Knoppix for the recovery of data when you do not have Windows:

    You will need a computer with two cd records, one of which is an engraver of CD/DVD OR a USB thumb drive with enough capacity to contain your data OR an external USB hard drive. Download Knoppix .iso image file and create your bootable CD *. If you do this in a previous (XP or Vista) operating system, you will need the third burning like Nero, Roxio or free ImgBurn software (Windows 7 can burn .isos natively). Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Then boot with the CD that you created, and Knoppix will be able to see the files in Windows. If you use the USB key or an external hard disk, right-click on its icon (on the desktop) to get its properties and uncheck "read only". Then click on it to open it. Note that the mouse action by default in the window manager used by Knoppix (KDE) is a simple click to open instead of double-click traditional MS Windows. If you want to burn CD/DVDs, use the K3b program.

    * If your computer has only an optical drive and you want to use this drive to burn data or need to test drive, you can create a USB bootable Linux instead of a bootable CD. This site will show you how to do it- http://www.pendrivelinux.com

  • Control mobile/data files to a different folder during the upgrade to 10 g 9i

    Hello

    I'm in the process of upgrading 9.2.0.4 (Enterprise Edition - linux Redhat 4) on the same server to 10 g R2.

    I already finished running DBUA, but due to the bug MAXDATAFILES 100, I had to choose not to move the data files. Now that the upgrade was successful, I need to move the controlfiles, 10g 9i Home Home data files.

    I know I need to recreate the controlfile to support up to a trace file, but I'm confused as to what script should I use trace files because it has 2 almost identical scripts. One with RESETLOGS, another with NORESETLOGS.

    What is the difference between these two? The 9i database was arrested before the upgrade and supported (cold backup), whether I should not all archivelogs or online content of newspapers I think.

    Thank you

    RESETLOGS - Specify RESETLOGS, if you want the Oracle database to ignore the content of the files listed in the LOGFILE clause. These files do not have to exist. Each redo_log_file_spec in the LOGFILE clause must specify the SIZE parameter. The database assigns redo all online log file groups to thread 1 and enables this thread for public use by any instance. After using this clause, you must open the database by using the ALTER DATABASE statement RESETLOGS clause.

    NORESETLOGS - Specify NORESETLOGS if you want Oracle database to use all files in the LOGFILE clause as they were when the database was last opened. These files must exist and must be the online redo logs rather that restore backups. The database reassigns log files groups redo the nets to which they were previously allocated and reactivates the discussions that they have been previously activated.

  • transfer of file db oracle of drive c to d ' training

    Dear all,

    We are facing a problem wherin our data file, that we all were on the c: drive space tends to zero.

    I know it's our mistake.

    Kindly advice. I want to move an existing table in the c: d: disk.

    Best regards

    1 - all first do your tablespace offline datafiles which you want to move to the D: drive
    alter tablespace offline nom_tablespace;
    2. now copy datafiles the tablespace of the C: drive on drive D:
    3 Rename the data files that you copied on the D: drive
    Alter tablespace rename datafile "old_path" to "new_path" nom_tablespace
    4. after renamed it the data files, check the online storage space.
    alter tablespace nom_tablespace online;

    I need to delete my aol files to a flash drive for storage. I tried to find the path on my pc but cannot locate. I need to know if it is possible? Also, I need to know if I'll be able to open the mails from the flash drive after I download, it is possible to download the flash player.

  • If your computer comes with a hard drive of 32-bit pc will work better by adding another hard drive of 60 bits or transfer all files on the hard drive of 60 bits?

    The pc is a hp pavilion a706n and windows vista ultimate.

    Hello

    You confuse the version of Windows with the hard drive.

    A hard drive is a physical device for Windows (operating system)
    are the programs installed. When the data is created and saved which are written in the
    hard drive. A hard disk is analogous to a wardrobe as a storage device.

    Hard drives are not little dependent, which means that you can run Windows 32 or 64 on them
    If the rest of the system is compatible with every version.

    Windows can be 32-bit or 64-bit. But not all hardware systems can run both.
    Many 32-bit systems cannot run 64-bit Windows.

    Your computer came with at least a possible hard disk to add possibly
    internally, and certainly outside.

    WiKi - hard disk drive
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_disk_drive

    As TrekDozer said that your computer cannot run as 64-bit Windows if you need to stay
    with 32-bit Windows. However, you can add additional hard disks of extra disk space.

    Check with HP support, their books online and the drivers, diagnosis, and
