Transfer email Windows7 on cableone

Our internet provider, Cableone changed their servers for email (they used a gmail account).  When I transferred my email more on their new server according to their indications in the Inbox mail is transferred but my files do not have.  I have Windows Live Mail 2011 with a Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.  Cableone said that they could not solve it, it was a Windows problem.  How can I move my files in the new Cableone email.

This is quite typical of web mail.  You can copy your contacts and Inbox, but that's all.

This is the reason why you want to have Windows Live Mail.  WLM is an application program on your computer that stores your emails on your computer.  You can then remove it from your webmail server.  So, if you change your provider, you always have your email.

The only way I know how to copy these folders stored webmail, must send each of the emails in them yourself.  Which can be very time consuming.  When they arrive, you can put them in folders you create on your computer in WLM.  Then they are yours to keep.

Don't forget, it also means that you now have the responsibility to save them

  • How to transfer emails in an Inbox not assets replaced to the local files.

I changed servers and cancelled my old server (courier service). I want to transfer all my old old my Inbox emails into folders, so I can delete the old account. I have a new account and a new Inbox that works very well. When I try to transfer emails from the old Inbox, the software tries to connect to the old server, which does more - and will not let me transfer the emails. I can see and read emails - so that they are on my local computer. I don't want to lose all the old emails. I no longer have access to my old server.

    You do this in "offline"?
Thunderbird does not try to locate the server in offline mode.

Status bar displays 2 icon blue screen down left if online.
Click on this icon to switch to offline mode; It will then show 2 black screen icon.
We may ask if you want to download messages, etc... to say no or later, but does not download.

  • Transfer emails "sent" to the Office Express 6.0

I use Outlook Express 6.0. I am trying to transfer emails from the folder "sent" on the server of my host for the folder "sent" on my laptop (i.e. local folders). I used to be able to do, but now I get this message:

"The selected messages could not be moved. An error has occurred. »

For what it's worth, I transfer emails in the Inbox on the server of my host to my local files.

My hosting provider said that it is a problem of Outlook, is not their problem. Can anyone help?

I assume you are using an IMAP account.  I suspect that the items sent in OE folder is corrupted.  You can move messages to another folder (create one for it) then close OE and delete the file sent items.dbx.  Then start OE and see this will create a new and see if it works very well.  If not, try to go to file | Identities and setup a new identity, and then see if you can get it to work in this identity.  If so, then import from that older messages using file | Import | Messages.

  • [SOLVED] Using Linux Mint. How to transfer emails from a Mint to another computer?

I would like to transfer all emails an account from a mint machine to another machine to Mint. Thank you.

You could transfer all by copying the profile from one to the other.

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/Profiles-TB

To copy only certain folders or mailboxes, you can identify the relevant files and work with those.

Your profile is hidden by default, so you need to set your file manager favorite (Nautilus, Caja?) to show hidden files if you want to search for them. However, in Thunderbird account settings, you will find a box that tells you the name and the location of the mail from each account store files.

I suggest you look at one the ImportExportTools add-on - one that has options to export and import different parts of your mail store.

  • Transfer emails from outlook 2003 on xp to windows live on Windows 7

Anyone know how to transfer old emails and contacts in outlook 2003 on xp computer to a new computer using windows live mail on windows 7.  Unit XP will not let me copy the PST to outlook, continued to give me 'path not found' or something like that.  Nothing on the new computer (windows 7) seems to be able to read pst file.

I don't think that Windows Live Mail would be able to import data from the OL If OL has not been installed on Win7 computer.

That said, Windows Update has nothing to do with the upgrade of Windows. You will find public support for Windows Live Mail in this discussion group: microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

  • How can I transfer emails saved?

I have a Windows Vista-based computer and you just bought a Windows 7 computer. I have a few hundred emails more addresses I want to transfer to the new computer and just read through the 41 pages of questions / answers, none helped. How can I do this? I have "save under" a couple of emails to a folder in My Documents, I created, but I can't save an entire folder. Is this possible, or what should I do? Unfortunately, I am not very "computing."

If you are using Windows Mail, the email client integrated in Vista, you should be able to transfer all your messages and contacts in Windows Live Mail on the new computer. Copy the contents of these folders in Vista in the exact same on the W7 machine:

    C:\Users\{user}\Contacts

    Mail C:\Users\{User}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows

Note that {user} is your Windows user name, which is not necessarily the same on both machines.

If you do this before you install Windows Live Mail, the installer will probably find the files and they migrate to the new program, then wait to see if this happens. Otherwise, use file > import messages (Alt - F I) to import from Windows Mail. For contacts, switch to the contacts window (Ctrl-3 or click the address book at the foot of the folders pane) and use the import button to import the address book for the current Windows user.

  • How can transfer emails to another account, but only at certain times of the day (after that reception has left and before the start of the next working day)?

I run a private school. The receptionist left to 1800 and begins at 0900 the following day.

How to receive email between 1800 and 0900 to my private account, but not the e-mail during business hours?

I guess that you have a computer with Thunderbird installed.
I imagine that you have a profile with an e-mail account that is used for the activities of the private school and the receptionist has access to this email account, if you don't want the receptionist to see your personal emails.

I would approach this by creating "User accounts" on the computer.
Thunderbird would work in all user accounts.
A standard user account could be used by the recepionist which would profile with business e-mail address account.

The main account of the "Admin" user, accessible by entering a password, have your profile and your personal email to your personal email account.
Then you can connect to your user account, open Thunderbird and access/download your emails whenever you want. Output of Thunderbird and your user account when you are finished. The receptionist will not have access without knowing your user account password.

Alternatively, if you use the same user account:
If you have created another profile and added a new existing for your personal email address, then after 1800hours e-mail account, you can leave the profile used for the account of the company and open the profile with your personal e-mail account to download emails. By offering you this profile nearby and open the profile of the company before 0900hrs, then it works as expected.
If you use the same user account, it is possible, if the receptionist knows how to open your profile and read emails. Thunderbird password manager may be used to protect access to your e-mail account password, but not stop playback of downloaded emails.
So why it is preferable to use "User accounts" as described in the first option.

  • How can I transfer emails stored in the TB emails on C drive folder in TB

I have Vista reinstalled and lost all my emails stored in Thunderbird, but they are in a folder in users on the C drive. Can I bring back them to TB and if yes, how, please?

the addon page that says that you don't have any addons has a gear looking thing on top a right click on it and see an installation of the file option.

  • Transfer emails from old hard drive

I have the profile of an old e-mail account folder and try to open with an installation of thunderbird on a new system.

Ideally I would have just opened them when starting from the old hard drive, but for some reason any that it does not start properly (as soon as it starts to book all the USB devices power off).

Because it's just the profile folder and not a file exported or saved, I can't get anything in the new installation of Thunderbird to recognize the file. I think that all the data will be there (the file is has a few GB), I just need to be able to read.

I tried the methods already in the support pages, but they seem to require you to have exported preemptively profile or have something installed on the old hard drive to facilitate the transfer.

    Any help is appreciated massively

    See you soon,.

  • Cannot transfer emails from certain accounts to certain addresses in Thunderbird 31.0 (also to 24.0, just improved)

I have four accounts POP3 and an IMAP. Inbox of the account main POP3 problem is 3.8 GB after emptying the trash and compaction. I have found no limit to the size of the folder. I started archiving messages to another folder to reduce the size of the Inbox. I am unable to send emails (even if it seems that the emails are forwarded) two issue POP3 accounts (the second account mailbox is about 19 MB) to only certain E-mail addresses. I also can not before as an attachment or problem to some E-mail addresses POP3 accounts. Other addresses E-mail Forwarding works correctly on issue POP3 accounts. I am able to send eMails on two problem POP3 accounts to some E-mail addresses correctly. Do not know if a complete reinstall would be beneficial or not, since the POP3 problem accounts work correctly when you communicate with other E-mail addresses. I'm currently under WinXp Pro fully patched and just used Reimage for refresh installation (the problem was unchanged after Reimage).

What makes you think that the messages were not sent? Have you asked your provider of messaging so they sent?

Seriously, most of non-delivery, without any kind of errors, is receiving simply Server throw as junk mail. Maybe all the areas of the receivers subscribe to the same spam service.
