  In response to your question, you can remove courses it if you wish, however before you, take a look at this page and see if there is anything among the features, you can use before you remove the software.

  HP Notebook PC - using features of HP MediaSmart Photo software

  Of course you can simply change the default program to access your photo files using this method.

  Change which programs Windows uses by default - windows.microsoft.com

  If you don't need all the functionality of Mediasmart Photo software and space is a problem, so there's nothing to prevent you from removing.

• MediaSmart Photo and Webcam does not not on HP Pavilion dm1-2150so with Windows 7

  I have a HP Pavilion dm1-2150so with Windows 7. When I double click a photo that she usually opens with HP Photo Viewer, now it doesn't.   I think that you were right assuming that the best way to solve this problem would be to reinstall both applications - you can do the following.

  First, download the programs installation for two applications using the links below and Save both in your downloads folder.

  HP MediaSmart Photo.

  HP MediaSmart Webcam.

  When the completed downloads, windows, Control Panel, open programs and features, right-click on HP MediaSmart Photo and select uninstall - when it is finished, do the same for HP MediaSmart Webcam.

  Reboot the laptop.

  When windows has completely recharged, open your downloads folder and double-click the HP MediaSmart Photo install to start installation - once this is completed, do the same thing for HP MediaSmart Webcam.

  When the two facilities are completed, restart the computer again.

• DeskJet 3000 and Mediasmart Photo print

  When I select the printing of 4 x 6 size in the configuration of the printer, paper size shrinks automatically to 3.7x5.4. The preview of the photo shows that it does not fill the entire book of photo 4 x 6.

  The spec of for the Deskjet 3000 indicate that paper 4 x 6 with tabs (actually 4 "x6.5") is required to print without margins.

• MediaSmart Photo/video/music does not load in Win7

  I almost can't wait to submit this.  The thread that applies, but after 5 months no response, I saw.

  The Support Agent HP said I needed a new version of the MediaSmart MVP.  Tried several times, it failed with no error report.

  Contacted a real HP AE, he told me to remove MVP and install sp47676.exe.  I did, it failed, now I have no MVP at all, just the links in the bar.

  Must be 6 or 7 different versions, I tried sp44642.exe and sp44615.exe.  Error 259 on the installation.  I can try to restore but do not know what other download I lose.

  Does anyone know the * good * version of software to download?  These are not small, 160 at 324 m.

  I am on Windows 7, 64 bit, HP installed at the factory.  e9270t quad, 8 G.  Only a few months.

  Thanks for the info.  sp44429 did load it for me, I have Blue Ray but no HP, third party add in.

  I think it could have been Norton, I don't know.  The above charge.  After what Deputy support told me that I had to update.  Again I turned off Norton, and he did load.  So I don't know if it was Norton or if the first recharge solved the problem.  The confounding factor that the version number has not changed on MediaSmart, so I don't know really not what has been fixed.

  I wish really that:

  1) there are a few newspapers or something error.  Very little info has been given, just that SA said that it would not load.

  (2) some correlation between SP444xxx and the software.  All the research my HP has not turned upward from these figures, I had to find them through these forums.  Also put this number in the software.  What is 3.0.3228 version, sp what.

  (3) if Norton is a problem, I hope SA turns off what it takes it to load.

  (4) when I go to e9270t page, nothing of this software is listed.  A search of better engines or some info what software I need to load.

  So the problem is solved, unfortunately I do not know quite what the fix was.  Probably a new facility with Norton turn off.  Just hope it doesn't happen.

• I lose photos if I reinstall the hp mediasmart software

  I can't change my photos using hp mediasmart photo.  It has stopped working properly on my desktop HP Pavilion P6000 series.  I'm afraid I'll lose my photos if I uninstall and reinstall the program.  I'm going?  Also, is there anything else I can try to repair this other program that put it back.  When I click on 'edit this media', it will sometimes tell me it is busy and sometimes screen comes on and dark until the stay and I have to control alt delete.

  Hello

  You won't lose a photo etc. If you reinstall HP MediaSmart Photo - the only images software index stored elsewhere on your PC, for example in your folder "Images".  You can always save all folders containing the photos if you wish.

  There is no repair available option, but reinstall the software should fix the problems - the first time you open HP MediaSmart Photo after reinstalling, it may take a few minutes to index all your images again.

  I just formatted my computer hp laptop and rendering account I have no way to reinstall HP MediaSmart.

  It is not on my laptop... of course, since I formatted and deleted all my programs.

  It was a really useful set of programs for me.

  Uninstall all programs MediaSmart from your system.

  To get to the Visual screen and the associated sounds that are displayed and heard when the volume control, you will need to install before MediaSmart Menu at least a MediaSmart package program. The best choice will be in my opinion:

  Now, you download and install:

  It's not metter in what order you install the rest of the programs:

  Try to use Recovery Manager to reinstall HP MediaSmart Photo - the procedure to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document in question on the link below.

  I have apalogize, I know that this has been done before, but I'm looking for different software or updates not upgrades.

  A couple of weeks, I tried to watch a movie Blu - ray (made before 2013) through HP MediaSmart DVD, when I put the movie in him would ask if I wanted to check the updates, so I said yes, he started the process of loading and asked again if I wanted to check the updates. Finally, I took the film and went into settings, watched in updates and there was an update. So I chose the update and HP MediaSmart DVD HP TouchSmart DVD changed.   So I tried again a movie BD 2013 on the HP MediaSmart/TouchSmart DVD thanks to the new screen and he asked again if I want to check for an update, but it worked fine on PowerDVD from CyberLink 13 (which means I have to buy ). So I have not watched all BD movies on my computer for awhile.

  I recently bought a new computer and restored my old computer to its factory condition and reinstalled all programs and installed the updates I could find.

  After I restored the computer I tried BD 2013 & 2015 on HP MediaSmart/TouchSmart DVD movies and he even asked if I want to check for an update. It's been 2 years and still no new updates! Looks like HP MediaSmart has become obsolete. I don't know if PowerDVD 13 still works because I obviously don't buy it.

  Thus, it seems that if someone wants to play movies BD 2013 or newer that they should ensure that they have the right connection between the monitor and the computer and buy a new BD software to replace the old software obsolete.

  With my new computer, I'll be closing this and boxing upward. So I don't need to worry about this more.

  Hi John,.

  Hold down the keyboard Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type msconfig and press ENTER.  Click on the Startup tab and see if HP MediaSmart Photo is listed here.  If this is the case, remove the tick from the box next to the entry and then click on apply to apply the change.  Restart the PC and see if that helped.

  HP MediaSmart Photo lets view you, edit your photos etc, but actual images will be stored elsewhere then try using Recovery Manager to reinstall HP MediaSmart Photo - the procedure to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document in question on the link below.

  Once the reinstallation is finished, restart the PC and when Windows has fully loaded, launch HP MediaSmart Photo and give it a few minutes to re - catalogue all your photos.

  If you have installed Windows 7, you should be able to install the HP MediaSmart software.  Try the installers listed below.

  HP MediaSmart Photo.

  HP MediaSmart Webcam.

• Laptop is a Pavilion dv6-3025dx, Photo smart media opens but displays all the photos.

  When I open Windows media center all the photos that are installed on the computer are still there. They do not come and view the HP media smart program. When I go into a space that is to have a picture but it is empty, I can press on "ctrl and enter" button and image and the file opens in windows media center. I'm puzzled. If anyone has an idea of what is going on please let me know. Thanks, remote

  Welcome to the HP Forums!

  I understand that your HP MediaSmart software does not work properly.

  Try to uninstall then reinstall the MediaSmart Photo software to rebuild libraries from scratch. This should fix the paths of the files corrupt or metadata causing problems.

  You can download it here: HP MediaSmart Photo software. (Assuming you're on Windows 7 yet.)

  Make sure that your photos are not registered in the MediaSmart directory. If they are, move them to a safe place like images or a folder on the desktop.

  I would like to know if it works!
